SERENDIPITY SOUL

Hello, and welcome to Ametia’s Blog!

After nearly two years of discovering the world of blogging, I thought it was time to devote my time  and attention to creating my own blog of fun, creativity, spirituality, and tranquility.  I’ll also provide daily words of inspiration, poetry, prose, light commentary, book & movie reviews, health & nutrition, and  periodic updates on current affairs.

This site will be devoted to sharing gifts of wisdom, humor, laughter, and yes, tears if the mood hits you.  I hope you’ll join me.

My first bit of good news is that both of my beautiful daughters are getting married this year.  The youngest will wed next month and the oldest daughter in December.  I’m super excited for them.  More to come!

May all your DREAMS come true.

“Whenever you have a dream, jot it down in a notebook. . . write down your feelings as to what it may mean. . .You will begin to see how the Holy Spirit is using your dreams to bring you spiritual understanding.”

I went to see “Eat, Pray, Love” tonight. Julia Roberts is still one of my alltime favorites and she doesn’t disappoint in this movie at all. In the audience during this opening weekend, I observed a whole lot of us middle-aged women looking for a bit of catharsis by identifying with “Liz” in her search for self. Her trek across the world first eating, then and praying and finally loving was many of our identifiable journeys through this life. Right now though, I appear to be stuck in the eating phase again. I was sitting there wondering where the ideal part of the world would be for an AA female to go and indulge in eating out our stresses — Rome was nice for her, but there has to be a more international city for me to eat in, maybe Paris. I’ve been there and the language barrier is quite a trek to overcome, but the food is worth going to Paris for.

Ametia, did you get to see it? Would love to chat with you about it.
