Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell & Co. Wants to Party Like It’s 1869! | Advocates Laws To Probe All Up In Our Vaginas

A recent Christopher Newport University/Richmond Times-Dispatch poll found 58 percent of Virginians oppose the ultrasound bill, with just 31 percent supporting it.

So, the party of less government wants the authority to insert a probe into a women’s vagina.  Why not! Its not like their going where “no man has gone before;” eh?

THE VAGINAL PROBE, Governor Bob McDonnel Edition

Take a real good look at this clown, Bob McDonnell, right HERE:

LET’S BE CLEAR; IT’S NOT AN INVASIVE PROCEDURE, IT’S RAPE, IF IT’S DONE AGAINST MY WILL.

In spotlight, ultrasound bill headed to governor
After garnering national attention and jokes at the state’s expense, a bill to require ultrasounds of women about to undergo an abortion will likely head to Gov. Bob McDonnell after final passage in the House of Delegates today.

On Monday, about 1,000 people appeared at the Capitol to oppose the measure as part of a women’s rights rally that came together quickly through social media and word of mouth.

Thanks in part to left-leaning political pundits such as MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and a satirical take on the issue from “Saturday Night Live,” the legislation has made its way into the national spotlight, raising a furor from opponents who see the proposed requirement as wildly invasive.  That’s due in part to the fact that trans-vaginal ultrasounds are the only method available to doctors that early in a woman’s pregnancy.  Del. L. Kaye Kory, D-Fairfax, said in a speech on the House floor Monday that the requirement would force women to “submit to involuntary vaginal penetration.”

*UpdatePressure grows to change Va. ultrasound abortion bill

Opposition continues to build against a bill requiring doctors to perform an ultrasound before performing an abortion and women’s rights groups are optimistic it’s enough to force a significant overhaul of legislation before it’s sent to Gov. Bob McDonnell.

For a second consecutive day, Republicans in the House of Delegates skipped voting on the bill for at least another 24 hours. While they fended off an effort by Democratic leadership to shelve the bill entirely, pressure against the measure is mounting.

Hundreds of protestors marched around the Richmond Capitol Monday in opposition to the bill and a coalition of abortion-rights groups will present to McDonnell Wednesday 30,000 signatures objecting to the surge in anti-abortion legislation this session, NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia Executive Director Tarina Keene told The Washington Examiner.

If the bill passes, many women would have to undergo a transvaginal ultrasound before an abortion because it’s often the only way doctors can see the fetus in the early stages of a pregnancy. Abortion-rights groups have rallied opposition to the measure around that point, insisting it forces women to undergo an invasive procedure against their will

We’re watching you, pretty boy, good hair, McDonnell.

Virginia House delays vote on anti-abortion ultrasound bill
    By Eric W. Dolan

The Virginia House of Delegates on Tuesday delayed a vote for one day on legislation that would require a woman to receive a medically unnecessary ultrasound before terminating her pregnancy.

Two legislators told The Virginian-Pilot that lawmakers are considering softening the legislation by making an ultrasound optional rather than mandatory.

The bill sparked outrage because it would require a woman to receive a trans-vaginal ultrasound before an abortion, and be given an opportunity to view the ultrasound image of her fetus and hear its heartbeat. Most abortions are performed in the first trimester, when the fetus is too small to be viewed by an abdominal ultrasound.
