I generally turn off the tv after the debates. Once the President has spoken, I’m sure I can determine on my own what he said and why he said it. Last night I turned to MSNBC, because I wanted to hear Rev. Al’s analysis. He’s a straight, no chaser man. And I appreciate him for his down home candor.
Rachel Maddow gives a scathing critique of Mitt Romney’s debate performance on foreign policy below:
“That political calculation makes so much sense to me, if there were not 68,000 American lives on the line. And that’s what infuriates me, because this is a real war. This is not changing your mind on light rail. This is changing your mind and denying your previous positions that are on the record about the fate, the lives and deaths, of 68,000 Americans, and asserting that not only is it okay for you to change your mind, I believe in people changing their mind, but that you can get away with running from the things that you have previously claimed were your heartfelt beliefs, and now denying that you ever believed they were true. It’s a character issue, and I find it disqualifying.”

Anyone who doesn’t realize that Romney has a serious character problem and that it disqualifies him to be POTUS is in deep denial. Romney is someone who will lie to us after being elected, and he’ll feel justified in doing it because he’ll figure that if Americans elected him knowing he was a liar before becoming president, they’ll be okay with it afterwards. Rachel said the same thing about Romney on Katie Couric’s show today.
