There is some basis for concern, substancial (although not disclosed) cuts to medicaid/medicare were offered in the *grand bargain* before TeamObama fully realized just how far the GOP was taking the country just to say FU. The good news is Obama did briefly talk about his support for raising the payroll tax limit to bring in those who are getting away not putting in, and staying away from the disingenuous industry supporting garbage like means testing and raising age limits… so were just concerned.

Plouffe did get my attention stating that TeamObama still wants a “big deal” including rolling tax reform into the mix if this is the end-game or long view I’m in. It would end the games being played (FUD) be mentally healthy for the whole country but, this also, for me brings the need to reform the filibuster front and center I want to see them go for it!

You have to give it to the ideologue Professional Left about one thing: they are incredibly good at synchronized whining. Apparently, they all had their Thanksgiving turkey, mixed some w(h)ine and politics, and decided, “OMG we haven’t bashed the President for almost two weeks!” And so it began with Cyber Monday, they began in earnest their scaremongering campaign about how the president is about to strike a grand bargain with Republicans that raids Medicare and Medicaid, and possibly Social Security. Based on what? Any specific proposal? Nah. Based on the need to set everyone’s hair on fire, of course.
