Voting Rights: The Fight Continues Today
Throughout our history, Americans have fought and died for the right to vote. And while we’ve made significant progress, even today there are those who seek to limit voting rights. In 2013 alone, 11 Republican-controlled states have taken action to limit people’s Constitutional right to vote. But as Democrats, we’re not backing down and will continue to fight to expand access to the polls for every eligible voter.

Very informative!!! I remember my late husband telling me of a test in Mississippi for Blacks registering to vote. One of the questions was “How many bubbles are there in a bar of soap?”
Had he lived, he would have been 69 years old this year. It was not that long ago.

I still can’t believe that the Supreme Court gutted the heart of the 1965 Voting Rights Act just before its 50th anniversary!
