I am calling on Attorney General Eric Holder to file charges against Trayvon’s killer. Dr Martin Luther King said “Justice delayed is Justice denied.” Feb 26th would be a good day to bring the charges! Trayvon Martin deserves justice. His innocent blood cry out from the grave.

The parents of slain teen Jordan Davis say they will join the parents of slaying victim Trayvon Martin and the widow of a man shot to death in a Florida movie theater to talk with legislators in Tallahassee about the state’s so-called stand your ground law.
Ron Davis and Lucia McBath said Wednesday they will visit Tallahassee on March 10 for a rally to protest the law.
Trayvon Martin will not be forgotten, not ever. The denial of justice for his murder will be as significant in American history as the denial of justice for the murder of Emmett Till, some six decades earlier, both occurring within the span of my own lifetime. How could that be, I keep asking myself, will I live to see this change? Is this really the 21st century? A black kid can’t walk to the store and make it back home alive?
I won’t ever forget the verdict, not guilty, the shock and then the anger. Until that moment I believed that the jury had no choice but to convict Zimmerman of voluntary manslaughter at the very least. But those six women were in every way equal to the jurors who freed the men who murdered Emmett Till. It defies reason that anyone could believe that it wasn’t Trayvon Martin screaming and begging for his life for 44 seconds and silenced in the same second that a single gunshot was fired into his heart.
The truth is, despite the bungled prosecution, those six women know that a child was murdered. But the child was black, and they didn’t want a white man to go to prison for killing a black child. So they let the killer go free, not wanting to be the ones to set the precedent there in the Deep South, that black life is as valuable as white life.

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Today marks two years since Florida teenager Trayvon Martin was shot and killed by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer.
Zimmerman was acquitted more than a year later by a Florida jury on the basis of the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law.
A number of organizations including the Outcast Voters League and the NAACP will remember the teen this evening with a candle lighting ceremony, silent march and wreath laying.

When Felicia Simmons looks at her 11-year-old son, she sees an intelligent, sensitive boy who is curious about the world.
In only a couple of years, Simmons is afraid others may see Zachariah as something else: a black thug.
“In America, the black man is the boogeyman,” said Simmons, 34, of Asbury Park. “We have to have someone to hate, someone to feel superior to, someone to fear.”
Neither Trayvon Martin nor Jordan Davis — 17-year-old black boys shot dead in Florida in recent months ostensibly under that state’s “stand your ground” law — had weapons on them the nights that they died.
But in both cases, their killers said they feared for their own lives. So they grabbed guns and shot.
Martin’s killer, George Zimmerman, is white and of Peruvian descent. Davis’ killer, Michael Dunn, is white.
Would Zimmerman have perceived a young white woman in his neighborhood to be suspicious, as he did with Martin? Would Dunn, who told Davis and his friends to turn down rap music playing from their vehicle at a gas station, have opened fire on a car full of middle-aged white men listening to classic rock?

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – A Florida attorney who has made national headlines is stepping out of the courtroom Tuesday to speak to Cooley Law School students in Lansing.
Benjamin Crump represented the family of Travon Martin, the Florida teen who was shot and killed nearly two years ago.
George Zimmerman was charged with his death, but found not guilty. Many claimed the shooting was racially motivated.
Crump will speak to students and the community during the “Justice in America: Trayvon Martin, Race and the Law” event Tuesday night.
The event is free and open to the public.

The mother of Trayvon Martin will speak Friday at UConn, two years after her teenage son’s shooting death sparked a national debate on racial injustice and “stand your ground” laws permitting the use of deadly force.
A jury last summer found gunman George Zimmerman – who claimed self-defense but did not invoke Florida’s stand your ground law as a defense at trial – not guilty of killing Martin. Defense attorneys argued Zimmerman was protecting his life after Martin beat him, while prosecutors sought to convince the jury that the neighborhood watch volunteer pursued the unarmed 17-year-old before shooting him.
In the days after the verdict, rallies were held across the country by protestors who said Martin’s death was the result of racial profiling and criticized a discriminatory criminal justice system. President Barack Obama called on Americans to “do some soul-searching” and “wring as much bias” out of themselves as possible and said he knew what it felt like to be followed because of the color of his skin.

Goodman Theatre Tackles Trayvon Martin Killing

The Goodman Theatre is the latest company to join a national push to stage a night of short plays about the killing of Trayvon Martin.
The Goodman will present six 10-minute works by Marcus Gardley, Tala Manassah, Mona Mansour, Winter Miller, Dominique Morisseau, Dan O’Brien, Quetzel Flores and A. Rey Pamatmat as part of a March 3 production of “Facing Our Truth: Short Plays on Trayvon Martin, Race and Privilege.”
Other theater companies that have signed on to present the works this season include the Center Theatre Group of Los Angeles, The Public Theater in New York City, the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company of Washington D.C.

I was thinking long and hard about all of this on & off today. I had a customer who is a pretty good friend in the shop most of the day and we were talking about this. The most stunning part is FL trying to expand the SYG law. So with the entire world watching and God himself looking on and sizing up how this is handled, the state of FL wants to make killing easier than even Hitler made it.
My friend and I are sending out e-mail notices to everyone we know to stay away from FL no matter what. What can we expect in the future?? Is some racist shit head going to drive by a 7-11. and think “..hey, one of them boys is gonna…….” and blast away. His claim of “I was a scared mo – fo” his successful defense ?? Will shooting and missing like Duhhnnn did no longer be newsworthy ?? Will that now be a perfect SYG defense.
