Laura Schlessinger FINALLY Says “Nigger” on the Airwaves

Yes, I said “NIGGER.”  You see, apparently Laura Schlessinger said it a gazillion times on her radio show, because, black folks say it all the time on HBO.  We knew it would only be a matter of time before white folks would utter the word.

Well folks, Dr.Laura Schlessinger goes on a “Nigger” RANT with an African-American woman who calls in to her talk show.  Mind you, the caller named Jade shares that she’s married to a white man, and her neighbor uses racially insensitive words. Her racist rant gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, “DR. FEEL GOOD” doesn’t it?  But, but, but, remember her best body-guard is a BLACK man!

Notice how she flips the racism back on the caller by telling her that she’s too sensitive!

Here’s Ed Shultz with Joe Madison and Heidi (?)on Dr. Laura Schlessinger and her Nigger rant.  Check out Joe; he’s not letting Heidi get way with the “One of her best body guards is black” shtick.  Video

Joe Madison is 100% correct.  White folks DO NOT get to tell black folks what is and is not racist.  Nope! You are not the authority.

Laura Schlessinger is Rush Limbaugh with just a thimble full more of estrogen.  Only now she’s gotten the “nigger” out of her system, and if allowed to remain on air, will give license to the Becks and Limbaughs of the right, white wing America to join her.

I understand that Laura Schlessinger has issued an on air apology, but I want this post to stand as is for a while.  Let her actions settle in the consciousness, because it is all too easy to apologize after the damage has been done, without fully accepting responsibility and comprehending the extent of the damage that has been done.

Talk show host Dr. Laura (Schlessinger) quickly and predictably bowed to public pressure and apologized for her on air N word laced diatribe. The apology is not good enough for the National Urban League. It demands that Talk Radio Network pull the plug on her show. Dr. Laura is a soft target because she’s a white woman that seemingly sprinted way over the line of racial etiquette. It was a no brainer that the League would rage against her. She got the same treatment that the pack of white celebrities, politicians and public figures that have used the N word.
But Dr. Laura is not of that ilk. In fact, she got it right about the word, or more particularly who uses it, condones it, and even glories in it. And that’s the legion of black comedians and rappers that have virtually canonized the word. They sprinkle the word throughout their rap lyrics and comedy lines; and black writers, and filmmakers go through lengthy gyrations to justify using the word. During a panel discussion at the Summer Television Critics Association tour in 2005, Aaron McGruder, creator of the popular comic strip, Boondocks, defiantly told the audience that he’d use the N’ word as much as he pleased in his comic strip and in his series on the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. If folks didn’t like it, well tough, said McGruder.

Dr. Laura gave no public hint before her spew of the word that she is a closet bigot who routinely uses the word in reference to blacks. But she didn’t have too. The obsessive use of and the tortured defense of the word by so many blacks gave her the license to use the word without any thought that there’d be any blow back for doing it. She was wrong and got publicly called out for it. But that doesn’t make her rationale or her explanation for using it any less valid. Dr. Laura got it right about the N word.

Notice Hutchinson did NOT mention the fact the comment that Dr. Laura made after the nigger diatribe. She told Jade if she was that sensitive, she “should NOT have married outside of her race.”

Am I the only one tired of seeing CNN run the show on “Kids and Race”? I think they are trying to embed that negativity into ALL of our psyches. Once or twice is more than enough. But it appears that every other day they are broadcasting those horrible questions: “Which is the Bad kid” Which is the Ugly Kid” Which is the Dumb Kid”
    Enough is enough.

    • "Ametia" says:

I saw a glimpse of that show again tonight. CNN is INSIDIOUS with their programming. I’m going to cover that series in a post tomorrow. Good night, Vette. Thanks for hanging with us tonight. Please do come back and visit often!

    • SouthernGirl2 says:

I saw that. Why are they doing that? What good can become of it?

  5. SouthernGirl2 says:

Vettte, are you being bad already? I’m trying to fix my avatar. What should I do?

  6. vettte says:

Word of advice: (1) Stay away from ALL things Obama. Hell, I know that not going to happen here so why even make that suggestion.

    (2) Try to limit judgement on all things LGBT. We have to ask Jesus about that when we get to Heaven, cause somethings in “the book” just aint clear.

    (3) Establish rules up front and not in mid process.

    • "Ametia" says:

Hey, Vette; I’m still trying to figure this all out. But it right now, it appears that I get to approve all comments beforehand.

      • vettte says:

Approve??? Lawd ham mercy…I’m doomed cause I might say any old stupid thing. Let me go “over there” and bring the “new rules” here afore I get suspended from 7th Grade Study Hall.

        • "Ametia" says:

BWA HA HA HA STOP.IT! Rules aren’t necessary. If trolls try to post, I just throw it in the trash. It doesn’t show up on the thread. THE.END.

“One last note – The caller in question (her name is Jade), called for help from me, and didn’t get it, because we got embroiled in the “n” word, and I’m really sorry about that, because I’m here for only one reason and that’s to be helpful, so I hope Jade or somebody who knows her is listening, and hope she will call me back and I will try my best to be helpful, which is what she wanted from me in the first place and what she did not get.”
    ————————————————————–

Don’t make me say “bad words”! In situations such as this, I have a tendency to really express myself! LMAO

  10. SouthernGirl2 says:

Jade’s husband cannot remaim silent to the pain is wife is suffering. He needs to step up to the plate and let his friends know their insensitive words are causing pain for his wife and they need to stop otherwise their association is over. No one comes in between a man & his wife!

    • vettte says:

Humpf! Apparently it wasnt important enough for him to stop them from disrespecting her when the were “at the house” in the past. So, now, let’s search the REAL reason he married this amazon if he wasnt going to accept her for who she was (black). I think Jade is headed for Judge Judy.

    • "Ametia" says:

It appears that race has already come between Jade and her husband.

  11. SouthernGirl2 says:

White people just can’t understand why we can say it but they can’t. I explained or tried to state on Huffington Post last night that Black people found a way to deal with oppression by adjusting to it so we changed the N word from derogatory & degrading to one of affection & endearment. It is something we use inside of our culture. If it’s used outside of our culture it reminds us of the oppression & being degraded. Guess what? I was called a racist bigot! ***Sigh***

  12. "Ametia" says:

Further more, Schlessinger uses the fact that Jade married a white man as a reason for her being “hypersensitive, and therefore justifies it by telling Jade she “shouldn’t marry outside of her race.” Like this is suppose cure Jade’s sensitivity to racial slurs and bigotry? SMDH

  13. vettte says:

The harshness with how Dr. Laura went after this woman was startling to me– even though it’s some b.s. ‘call-in show’, if someone is honestly seeking help and guidance, one could at least show fundamental human respect.

At the core of the issue was, “I go to my husband’s family and friends and they make racial jokes, slurs and comments…” Dr. Laura, instead of asking clarifying questions, blames the woman for being too sensitive and then starts talking about rappers, comedians and the Prez….what kinda of aberrant leap of logic was that?

    • "Ametia" says:

Dr. Laura could not contain herself; she really couldn’t. It is in her DNA.

She souldn’t get the N-word out fast enough. It had been bubbling to the surface and it just spilled out of her.

Her behavior towards Jade was negligent. It is obvious to me, that Dr. Laura Schessinger isn’t capable of providing this woman with any balanced advice regarding racial slurs. She completely flipped the switch on Jade, the victim of racism, further victimizing Jade for her neighbors, huband’s friends, and Dr. Laura’s own racial discord.

I loved how Joe Madison broke it down to Heidi that white folks don’t get to tell black folks what’s best for them.

      • vettte says:

Dr. Laura has always credited herself with being brash but this time she crossed the boundaries of race which is what has gotten her into this trouble. Race and brash arent aren’t mutually complimentary. When so many of these pundits cant contain their true feelings and the “real verbage” comes out, it generally leads to their demise.

Poor Jade, I wonder is she still has a husband, any in-laws or in-law friends left. Oh well, I guess it was a “stretch” for her anyway.

      • SouthernGirl2 says:

        Thank you!

    • SouthernGirl2 says:

Ignant! What else can you call it? Put that winkle faced woman off the air. I hope her sponsors are hiding their head in shame.

      • "Ametia" says:

What’s really stupifying is that Dr. Laura stated she hopes Jade calls her back so that she can provide her the help she was asking for on the initial call.

If Jade calls her back, she deserves everything Dr. Laura dishes out.

      • SouthernGirl2 says:

Call her back? Is she that nutso? She had a chance to help this woman but chose to disrespect her on air before the world because of her spiteful racist views! What a pitiful piece of sh*t!

        • "Ametia" says:

          From Dr. laura’s apology
