‘Thriller’ dance record created in downtown Riverside

More than 1,000 turned out to California Riverside Ballet’s “The Thrill is On” event Saturday afternoon.
Zombies and Michael Jackson look-a-likes crowded the street in front of downtown Riverside’s historic courthouse for the event, which announced this year’s Ghost Walk on Oct. 22 and 23 and set the first documented record number of people doing Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” in Southern California.
The grand total of dancers reached about 1,200. To prepare, the crowd got a lesson from choreographer BJ Brasier, who worked alongside Jackson.
