Lately when I read or hear about the continued fuckery of the media, pundits, and politicians at large, all I keep hearing is the theme song from original series MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.

The Mission Impossible shows always started off with a scene where a special agent is given, via a sophisticated piece of electronic equipment, a request to complete a very complex mission.

This communication always included one very basic statement followed by some important information. The basic statement “Your mission, should you accept it,” obviously gave the special agent a choice. However, the agent simply could not make a logical decision, to accept or reject the mission, without some information about that mission itself: the what, how, and why elements. After receiving this information the agent would always accept the mission and the electronic communication device self-destructed, in five seconds.

I’ve been contemplating on why Barack Hussein Obama decided to accept the mission of running for President of the United States of America.  And I have come to the conclusion that he too went into deep contemplation before he accepted the mission, because he saw that it was POSSIBLE.

He had to have surmised that somewhere along the way there would be an onslaught of the ugly, racist, backlash against him and his family for so boldly and courageously daring to step forward and pursue this humongous mission.

No doubt he must have seen some of these horrific images….,

along with the good and decent images of fair debates, compromises, and his actual presiding over and signing of key landmark legislation. He must have known that the Republican Party would OBSTRUCT, deflect, distort, and grandstanding, and that the media would be complicit in their shenanigans. 

He must have known too that some members of his own party did not support him or his agenda/MISSION.  He must have known that a faction of the Democratic Party called “Professional Progressive/Lefties, would form blogs and attack his agenda at every turn for profit, while not calling out the lies, distortions, obstruction and lack of leadership in the GOP.  And he must have known that the Black Intelligencia, aka Cornell West, Eric Dyson, Tavis Smiley, and a host of other skinnin’ & grinnin’, shuckin’ & buckin’, lawn jockeys and slave-catching coons would crawl out of the woodwork and do their master’s bidding.

Entrenched interests and the status quo cannot serve the American people.

No doubt, like any other president, he also contemplated the death threats that he’d receive, and the safety of his family.

So Barack Hussein Obama weighs all the possibilities within the scope of  his comprehension and decides that he will accept the mission.  He knows that people are always more committed to a path that they have chosen themselves than one assigned to them.

                                           HE CHOSE TO ACCEPT THE MISSION

I know within my mind and heart that our President’s commitment stands firm.  He is about the business of taking care of business for American people, all Americans who want an equal opportunity to achieve their dreams.

Just take a look at all the accomplishments of the Obama administration so far.

And we still have folks whining and complaining about our president being weak, ineffectual, and lacking the prowess to lead our country.  I know we’re

But we know the images and some of the behaviors directed at this president are RACIST, and we will continue calling it like we see and hear it.

On January 20, 2009, Barack Obama accepted this complex mission of becoming our 44th President, and unfortunately, a swath of Americans self-destructed in 5 seconds.
