1. Eric says:

Look, people nothing is going to fundamentally change at all in the black community, nor with the myriad of issues that we face as a people, because blacks themselves won’t get up off their own butts to make anything happen! We;re content to continue to have OOW babies at 72%, have the highest numbers for HIV/AIDS, crime, drug dealing, infant mortality, lowest achievements for education. When are black people going to finally wake up! All black people continue to do, and are all too well known to do is talk, talk, and more talk! No plans whatsoever to discuss, explore, or implement! Hell, we can’t even talk to one another without being disrespectful as was shown…again! My question is why on earth do Black people continue to foster and promote this very kind of “do nothing” leadership? When is enough going to be enough?

• Eric, why do want to pretend to be black? You’re as transparent as water. You’re talking totally out of your arse!

• Ametia says:

Hey Eric. And you know these stats of baby making to be true, because? Drugs, out of wedlock babies come from white folks too**looking@Bristol Palin* only she’s white and gets to make hundreds of thousands of dollars off her pregancy. And don’t get me started on the meth epidemic. It runs pretty rampid in white neighborhoods, from what I’ve researched.

Your comments are generalizing and strereotyping. You got to come better than this, dude.

And to be clear, I don’t consider Al Sharpton or Cornel West my leaders ,and what promises are are you referring to?

These gentlemen were given a platform to debate and discuss, and yes they do lead in their own way for the causees they deem worthy. I might not agree with some of their views, but their debate style was what it was. What is disrespectful is the disgusting racist rants and behaviors of the tea party, yet we haven’t seen you come here to call out these fools.

And for the last 8 years we supposedly had a leader in GW Bush, who with the help of his cohorts, ran our country into a shithole. So if you consider that leadership…. that’s what Americans said. ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

2. Ametia says:

Look, all you Corny West lovers, stroll on over to his blog or website and give him some love.. Oh, that’s right, he doesn’t have one.

Again, this negro’s got no CREDIBILITY with me, as far as I’m concerned, any negro who has the nerve to say that this president is being used by :the man” needs to be taken to the woodshed. That’s the old mentality of the negro. Don’t think for one moment that this man signed on for the office of the presidency not knowing that his and his family’s security would be on the line 24/7, in a thankless job of leading this country out of a shithole.

3. Jess S says:

This is my first time blogging so I hope I make sense…I think there was some merit to what Cornell West was saying. As an african american I think we have to hold our leaders accountable and call it for what is. Obama does think that the black vote will never forsake him and that is why he has taken a more centrist stance on systematic issues. One person mentioned all of his accomplishments, which deserve notice. However, what will bennifit disadvantaged Americans of all races are systematic changes which he has not been strong on. He is willing to comprimise on policies that have drastic affects on our people and serve corporate long-term intrest . Let’s not forget he had the house and the senate and did not pass a single payer health system, (As a healthcare administrator I can tell you the Obama healthcare plan is not solving any of the real problems) he didn’t eliminate taxes on the wealthy, pass a budget, etc. I love the idea of having a black president. But let’s be honest with ourselves, he is not a great president. But on the other hand, it is not his responsibility to promote the black agenda. There needs to be more activism within our community and Al Sharpton is not posied enough to be the one to lead the effort (sorry) Most of the academics don’t have the heart to lead a movement. You need someone who embodies the determination of the civil rights activist of yesterday and the insight of ivory tower men/women of today, who can mobilize the community and manuever the political scene while influcing policies and politicians. That’s what the tea party is doing and it’s working, even on Obama.

• Ametia says:

Hi Jess. I see you’ve made it quite clear about your feelings and thoughts are on President Obama. And thanks so much for being honest with YOURSELF.

Please tell us your thoughts on members of congress, the obstructionist GOPers, and the teaparty, and since you posted here, Cornel West & Co. It’s obviously struck a cord in you to come here and downplay the president’s accomplishments and label REv. Al Sharpton as “not poised enough.”

For me, Cornel West has ZERO credibility, just talking loud, getting paid, and doing NOTHING substantive for BLACK PEOPLE.

Pray tell bring us some alternatives and solutions, since President Obama is the only one being “held accountable here.” Otherwise you are just dropping off the talking points we’ve heard countless times.

3 Chics supports President Obama. We do NOT take issue with his policies nor the way he has presided, and we KNOW he is a GREAT president.

• I think there was some merit to what Cornell West was saying. As an african american I think we have to hold our leaders accountable and call it for what is.

Such as what, Jess? Is Cornell holding Tavis accountable for the Wells Fargo Scandal? I’m sure Cornell knows Tavis Smiley accepted sponsorship from Wells Fargo, who forced blacks into subprime mortgages while whites with identical qualifications got lower rates. Is Cornell giving Tavis a pass? If so? Why? What actions have Cornell showcased in helping black people? Zero, None, Zilch, Nada. He hasn’t done anything except peddle his jealous envy of our President. Crabs in a barrel.

Furthermore, I totally disagree on your thoughts concerning Rev Al. I support what Rev Al is doing and trying to accomplish in the black community.

Lastly, our President’s accomplishments are quite impressive. Have you kept up with what he has done? 3 Chics has. The President CANNOT do everything himself. We do have 3 Branches of Government, you know? Did you not listen to him on the campaign trail? He stated he couldn’t do it alone. The President is not your or anyone else’ magic negro.

• Ametia says:

Well tell the TRUTH, now why don’tcha, SG2!

I’ve been navigating my way around the blogosphere since yesterday, and it’s the same ole talking points about holding the POTUS accountable. Not anyone else, just the POTUS. All these folks who run to the media and profess it’s their CIVIC duty to hold THIS president accountable are making a profit, either through books, tv appearances, blogging ads, etc. so it’s in their greater interest to HOLD BARACK, THE MAGIC NEGRO ACCOUNTABLE.

2012 is going to be interesting, as the crabs claw their way out of the barrel to hold the negro’s fee to the fire. Might we suggest these crabs take a look in the mirror and see what it is they are doing to support the president, besides holding him accountable for ALL 3 BRANCES OF THE GOVERNMENT.

I’d recommend they take a CIVICS lesson before proclaiming their CIVIC duties, and not come here with the Corny West has got a point bullshit, because I, for one, am not buying it.

4. Ametia says:

Where is the evidence of the black folks in D.C. that say President Obama has failed them, Mr. Traynum? Please bring the evidence.

5. Ametia says:

Here come the negroes or whomever y’all claim to be bringing the gloom and doom and you been duped by the black president mentality. No, we at 3 chics are realistic, unabashed, unapologetic supporters of President Obama’s pragmatisim.

Go sell that nonsense to Red State, we aren’t buying it here.

• And there you have it! Hollar!

• Ametia:

I AM NOT ONE who lays this exclusively at the feet of President Obama.

If you read my line of thinking you will see that I thoroughly analyze the situation with Black America as one of STRUCTURAL dysfunction – where “Embedded Confidence Men” exploit the void in good governance that we have in our COMMUNITY CONSCIOUSNESS and instead enlist us in a struggle that Malcolm X and others have warned us about.

Nothing is going to change until the Black community submits itself to a more transparent system of governance identified primarily by the discipline of only seeking from the government THAT WHICH CAN BE RESOLVED BY THE EXTERNAL GOVERNMENT and working diligently to identify the distinction. Most importantly keeping the confidence men from SELLING US on certain promises that don’t belong in the domain of American Politics.

Dogmatic approval or irrational hatred of Obama is not going to change a damned thing within the depths of Black America. We now stand as victims of usurpation by various forces. The only fix is for all of us of good will to refuse to be used any longer.

• Ametia says:

And what/whom do you think should remain in the doamin of American politics?

•
And what/whom do you think should remain in the doamin of American politics?
With respect to the “Black Agenda” – by definition it should have made the delineation between politics and what “We Must Do For Self” – going beyond the rhetoric to this effect that they said on video tape at last years event.

It is CLEAR – that if we go with the narrative that “The Tea Party is the reencarnation of White Supremacy” and that “Federal Budget Cuts are RACIST” that ever single LOCAL institution that our community has under our control that is meant to develop our people (our schools) must NOT be placed into the national political debate.

Ironically the very people who claim that “Education Is The Great Equalizer” are also the same people who can’t seem to get the desired results through these institutions DESPITE having “favorable people” enlisted into power over them, this after a long struggle.

Those who try and make Black academic success a function of EQUAL FUNDING – are merely trying to obfuscate the point of what they have failed to deliver as promised. Those of us who agree to join the STRUGGLE for “equal funding” while not adequately managing the people who are charged with the task of managing their academic careers of the children in their house (and in their community) are the problem in that they have abdicated their prime responsibility before them.

The greater problem is with the lack of purpose for our children and from this the disciple problems which are seen when brilliant minds are not developed and they see through the B.S. that is presented to them.

Long story short – more than the question of WHO should not be allowed to enter the game of politics…..the question of WHAT should not be.

The answer is our ‘COMMUNITY CONSCIOUSNESS’ in pursuit of our PERMANENT INTERESTS.

• Ametia says:

I’m ALL for working the program at the local level, starting with our own communities. Pooling resoruces and holding elected officials accountable for providing our communities with the resources/ funding we are due.

What remains true is the POWER is within the people.

6. Dear 3 Chics:

Lets step away from this “show” for a second as I ask you a question.

Is there an “Black Community Consciousness that is separate and distinct from the “American Political Domain”, the party that you favor or the ideology that you support”?

This show was a grand UNMASKING for me.
What I knew to be the case – made it abundantly CLEAR who they were today.

Though there are clearly some key ideological differences between most of you and me – I wonder if you can agree that without a TRANSPARENT FRAMEWORK by which those who CLAIM to be “Black Leaders” can have the result appraised then we are operating upon little more than a CONFIDENCE SCHEME and they merely have the POPULAR WILL of Black people thus they are not called out.

Does the notion that we as Blacks are 100% EQUAL HUMAN BEINGS and that we also have DIGNITY as such – mean anything to you? While it is popular for us to make note of our equality and struggle to have any suppression of it removed – it is glaringly obvious that when it comes to PROJECTING our EQUALITY via the construction of systems of our own GOVERNANCE where we manage toward EQUAL OUTCOMES from our own efforts – we have a massive amount of contrition that is necessary before we can admit the painful truth.

After watching these escapades today I am made MORE RADICALIZED AGAINST these embedded operatives who are USING our people.

The very seats of POWER that they used to protest against are now FILLED with people that they promoted into POWER. Instead of looking to these seats and demanding RESULTS as promised – we are asked to keep our CONGREGATIONAL COALITION together and GO FIND THE IDEOLOGICAL ADVERSARY to protest against.

I assume that most of you are female.
What is your reaction to a mate that keeps “stringing you along”? After one commitment is missed he (or she) alters the goal so that you are kept anticipating. WHEN do you realize that it is time to cut that individual loose and FIND YOURSELF before engaging into another escapade?

THIS is where the Black Community is today.
LOST due to a grand HIJACKING of our “Black Community Consciousness”.

7. Ametia says:

So glad we sat through that 2 hour charade of Black Agenda. It was worth at least 5 minutes to hear Reverend Al take Corny West to the WOODSHED!

Hit dogs will hollar.

And to all the rest of the house negroes who think you’re going to bust Rev. Al and PBO, IT.WILL.NOT.WORK.

Go Rev. Al, at least you’ve got the president’s BACK! Obma/Biden 2012

8. Ametia says:

Note to any and all folks who enter the 3 Chic zone, You’d better come in our home and bring some respect or don’t bother knockin.’

9. rock da bell says:

@ ametia why continue to watch a show that you obviously have a problem with. none your comments are interesting enough to debate……..so Shut the hell up!

• Then why are you here, rock da bell? Why would you waste the energy?

• Ametia says:

First off, rock da bell show some respect when you roll up into 3 Chics and tell me to “shut the hell up!” This is our home, and we’ll write and watch what we damn well please.

Your comment is bullshit and If anyone has a problem, it is YOU. BYE, girl!

10. ro says:

Rev Sharpton has cosigned a strategy that will not work…..in fact it’s So predictable. This country will begin to move in a direction of real greatness for all concerned when this administration and this President really feels the heat of his most “loyal” constituency.

Never mind all the other challenges.
When his most loyal constituency send him a loud and clear message that says “you need to remember who brung ya”.

If this doesn’t happen he not only will lose, he will lose big and so will we.

• This country will begin to move in a direction of real greatness for all concerned when this administration and this President really feels the heat of his most “loyal” constituency.

How so, Ro? What, by folks staying home or telling democrats not to vote? Ask Ed Shultz how that turned out?

President Obama has stuck to the policies he campaigned on. Didn’t you read his full policy documents on his campaign website? If so, then why are you mad? They were laid out for all to see. He campaigned on hope & change. Did you think he was going to do something different? Or did you think you could tell him to jump & how high once he was in office? Ro, that dog don’t hunt!

• Ametia says:

Hi ro, what is this direction of real greatness that you speak of, do tell.

• Ametia says:

Nothing but West/Smiley talking points. Cornel West got his ass whooped, because he’s a bullshitter with NO NEW IDEAS, and NOTHING to show for decades of what he thinks a BLACK AGENDA should look like.

And until one of these folks roll up in here with PROOF that West has stepped out of Princeton, where he teaches a majority of whites that he’s helping BLACK PEOPLE… I don’t wanna hear shit about PBO bringing “real greatness for all concerned.”

It’s just babble to distract and divide black supporters and voters of PBO.

11. Ametia says:

DO NOT PUT A DOUBLE STANDARD ON OUR PRESIDENT. WE NEED RELIEF & NOT AN ANALYZES.

WHERE ARE OUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS, MINISTERS, ETC. ONE PRESIDENT CANNOT DO IT. J

OUR YOUNG ARE FIGHTING JAMES CROW JR., ESQUIRE

12. Ametia says:

Thank you Jim Brown, for making some sense out of this nonsensical replacement for MSNBC’s “LOCKDOWN.”

13. Ametia says:

Ed wants to START SHIT! Who owns the BLACK AGENDA? AMERICA DOES, ED.

Now run TELL DAT!

• Ametia says:

ED, why did you tell folks not to vote in 2010? Look what white men get to do when they tell folks not to vote. They get to host a forum on the Black Agenda, and ask if the POTUS is doing enough for Blacks and if the POTUS owns the Black Agenda. DISGUSTING!

• ED, why did you tell folks not to vote in 2010?

Own it, Ed!

• Ametia says:

That mofo gets a 2 hour show to try and tell us black folks what we should be doing, how we should be thinking, ummm HELL NAW! Black folks would listen to a white guy who screamed for folks NOT,TO VOTE last year, when BLACKS had to fight and get killed over the RIGHT TO VOTE.

This show is an insult with this tub of lard as moderator.

14. Ametia says:

This negro thinks Bill Clinton’s ICE WATER IS COLDER….. *sigh*

15. Ametia says:

Dyson’s on talking fast and sayin nothing, we haven’t heard already. What are the solutions, and what are you doing to help?

16. Ed Shultz: Should it be A Black Agenda?

****Sigh****

17. Ametia says:

Derrelll Bradford is a lover of all things Chris Christie. He’s advocating charter schools and vouchers.

18. From commenter Bobbi L. Simpson :11:32am Apr 10

The point that was just made by Rev Shaprton about the right to organize is the very reason Dr. King was killed. Big government is sustained by your ability to organize. We all live in this republic under a democratic system of government which says that we are not governed by a monarch but by the citizens of the republic and as such Dr. King had one of the largest special interest groups in the world. The hit on the unions is to silence the voice of another group other than rich large corporations that are owned by white corporate Czars! That is why we must ban together as a people.

19. Ametia says:

This BULLSHIT show hosted by MSNBC is a TOOL ussed to try to divide and conquer PBO’s BLACK BASE.

Look at Ed with that smarmy smirk on his face. Fat fuck

MAJOR FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

20. Cornell ain’t nothing but a hater! He’s full of sh*t?

Listen at this mofo? Where’s the jobs bill?

• Ametia says:

LOL Rev. Al gave that shuckin’ NEGRO a royal smackdown!

• Ametia says:

Cornell West can’t name one phucking thing he’s doing for BLACK people, other than teaching at the white elite universities, sitting on paid panels and writing books, CORNELL WEST AIN’T DONE SHIT. Bye negro!

21. Ametia says:

This is a godmamned shame. using old footage of Al Sharpton . WTF does this have to do with the Black Agenda?

22. Ametia says:

MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

23. Ametia says:

Class wars are the new Civil Rights? AH HELL NAW, VELMA!

• Ametia says:

MAJOR FAIL, MSNBC! MAJOR FAIL.

Cormell West & Velma Hart=OBAMA BASHERS!!!!

I don’t give a shit what Velma’s says, she gets a platform, because she goes after POTUS, and not the racist, obstructionist GOP

24. Ametia says:

The FRANKS & BEANS LADY!!! Velma Hart, nothing like getting paid for being EXHAUSTED, and Cornell West. OMG

25. Ametia says:

Ed’s tryna get the panelist to say PBO ain’t doing shit for Black folks. Evoking Dr. King is so TIRED. It’s 21st century.

We are part of America. Karen Hunter made a point of these agenda forums seperating us from the rest of Ameria. What’s the solution, folks?

• Ed think he’s slick! WTF is he doing hosting this in the first place?

• Ametia says:

Shit, he’s airing a Velma Hart clip. Ya know MSNBC is airing this nonsense to compete with CNN and their obsession with de poor, deprived American black folks.

How about MSNBC REALLY get SERIOUS about the BLACK AGENDA and hire BLACK people to host those cable shows. Starting with the early morning shows. Waking up to the pasty crew on Morning Joe is frightening!

26. Ametia says:

Jeff Johnson, Karen Hunter, Marc Moriarty, same retreads from the Tavis Smiley circuit…

27. Ametia says:

This is old. MLK Jr. is dead folks and he has been for over 4 decades.

28. Ametia says:

**SIGH** When is MSNBC going to host a show on the WHITE AGENDA?

Oh that’s right, that’s already in action and has been for 4 centuries.

29. Ametia says:

Dear lord, Ben Jealous is on.

30. Ametia says:

Here we go folks!

• Ametia says:

A two hour program about the black agenda, and MSNBC could not get a BLACK STAFF person to HOST this? So they had to attach Rev. Al Sharpton to BLACKEN this forum.
