Bachmann: Obama should call Congress back from recess

President Obama should call Congress back from its recess to steady rattled markets, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said Monday evening.

Bachmann, who’s in the midst of waging a campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in Iowa, said that recalling lawmakers to Washington would send a strong signal to markets that lawmakers are serious about debt.

Really, Michele?  Lawmakers had every opportunity to show the markets they were serious, the GOP HOUSE chose to hold the debt ceiling bill HOSTAGE, and wait until the last day the bill was due signing to capitulate to a bill with spending cuts and no tax revenue.

“If I were president today, I would call all the members of Congress back into Washington, D.C., and I’d say this: ‘Look, we are going to get this AAA credit rating back, and this is what we’re going to do,’ ” Bachmann said Tuesday night on Fox News.

NO, MICHELE, according to YOU, you would never  have voted for raising the debt ceiling, and as president would have VETOED it.  So you SEE Michele,  **no, look me in the eyes, FOCUS…. You and the Teabaggers antics drove AMERICA’s credit ratings from a AAA rating down to AA rating.  So GTFOH with what you’d do if you were president, and knock off the attempts to blame President Obama for your shameful ignorance.

Bachmann said she would direct lawmakers to develop a plan to prevent default on U.S. debt, guarantee payments to members of the military and ensure seniors’ current payments from Social Security and Medicare while reshaping those entitlement programs for future retirees.

WUH?!!  There’s no plan to develop, bitch: You RAISE the debt ceiling as has been done since forever.

The Tea Party congresswoman’s demand is a bit of an unusual one, since returning to work in Washington would put a serious crimp in her campaigning for president, especially the week of the straw poll in Iowa. In the weeks before Congress broke for recess, Bachmann had to miss a good number of votes in order to campaign.

    Bachmann is crazier than a road lizard! Anyone who would vote for her has got to be mentally unbalanced or just plain old dumb. That woman is an embarrassment to woman hood. Her and Palin represent Crazy and Crazier ! I’m just saying.
