Rick Perry | SECESSIONIST… 2012 Presidential Candidate…SECESSIONIST? American/Anti-American? Corporate Tool?

Every time I see Rick Perry or hear his name, SECESSIONIST is the first thing that comes to mind. NO RESPECT FOR THE UNION.

Now that Governor Gun-totingBible-thumping, GOOD HAIR” Perry has been given the green light by his bankrolling buddies, he’s finally thrown his ten gallon in the ring for 2012 presidential race.

True to form, this Texan CaC has come out with the racist dog whistling of 2008.  Add to the mix a Hodge podge of religious zealotry and brither craziness.

Media and blogs are backtracking, saying MSNBC and ABC took Perry’s words out of context here.  Notice Breibart’s skill at breaking down the video clips; he ought to know.

He says he’s on a listening tour,” Perry said, “so I’m going to talk to him.”

“Mr. President, you need to free up the employers of this country to create jobs.” Perry called on Obama to “free up this country” from “stifling regulation.”

“I’m a pro-business governor, I don’t make any apologies about it and I will be a pro-business president.”

Perry warned that a “big black cloud” hangs over the country.

Umm, NO, 3 Chics knows racial dogwhistling when we hear and see it.

We got your “BIG” Black cloud, Perry.

3Chics is going on the blogging record to notify America that Rick Perry’s shenanigans are not going unanswered.  When you question the honor and respect of our military towards its Commander-in-Chief and all but declare the President does not love America, it is BEYOND THE PALE.

Really, please take down that photo of your Commander-in-Chief, soldier; show some respect!

And the HYPOCRISY of this man to call the actions of Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke treasonous.

And yet in 2009, Rick Perry an elected Governor of Texas threatens to SECEDE from the United States of America.

Enters MSNBC’s Two Stooges Chuck Todd and David Gregory to counter this ASSCLOWN’s stupidity and rank hypocrisy with  a claim sooo ludicrious andoff the mark.

Read about it, and watch the video exchange here.

Chuck Todd: Perry-Obama would be a picture of sharp contrasts.David Gregory: You know, Perry talked about potentially seceding from the union. You think that’s extreme. Well people on the other side think that introducing health care reform for the whole country is akin to European Socialism.

Remember this exchange between Samantha Guthrie and Chuck Todd?  Another spin on the old “The other side does it too.”  Umm NO, they don’t.  No one has shot an elected  Republican candidate in the fucking head in public lately.  Are we missing something?

God Bless you, Congresswoman Giffords.

Note to CNN’s John King, MSNBC’s Chuck Todd and NBC’s David Gregory, we don’t need you to translate what Rick Perry is saying to us.  This is 2008 redux plus the Citizen’s United, Koch Brothers, ALEC funded 2012 election season, and y’all have decided to side with the BAD GUYS.

Finally, take a look at who’s been funding this clown’s tenure as governor here.

Gov. Rick Perry’s big donors fare well in Texas

If Perry wasn’t sucking off the government teat, he was guzzling down the moola from big oil

Rick Perry is just another  SLICK, GOOD OLE BOY; willing to do big oil and corporate America’s bidding.  The old Southern, racist white men are scratching, clawing, and fighting their way out of obscurity.  It’s HIGH time we slam the lid down on these suckers and let them die in the heat.

President Obama = AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM, PATRIOTISM

Governor Rick Perry=  SECESSIONIST, DOMMINIONIST ZEALOT

THE END!

  4. Rick Perry Fumbles Revolutionary War Remarks Following Republican Debate

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/12/rick-perry-revolutionary-war_n_1006349.html

Following Tuesday night’s Republican presidential debate, Texas Governor Rick Perry stumbled in making remarks on the Revolutionary War, Carrie Dann at NBC News reports.

The GOP contender suggested that one of the “reasons we fought the revolution in the 16th century was to get away from that kind of onerous crown” in response to a question on the issue of states’ rights. NBC News points out that the conflict was waged in the 18th century.

ABC News reports that Perry’s remarks came during a post-debate stop at a fraternity on the Dartmouth College campus, where the presidential forum was held.

The Texas governor is not the first candidate vying for the Republican presidential nomination to fumble the facts when it comes to the Revolutionary War. In March of this year, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) told a group of local New Hampshire Republicans, “You’re the state where the shot was heard around the world in Lexington and Concord.” The first shots of the Revolutionary War; however, were fired in Massachusetts, not in the Granite State.

  6. For Perry, Texas Roots Include Racial Backdrop

    http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/10/us/politics/rick-perrys-texas-roots-include-racial-backdrop.html?_r=2

Gov. Rick Perry of Texas, who often waxes nostalgic about his small-town roots, grew up in an almost all-white rural area where many referred to slingshots as “niggershooters.” One elderly black resident recalls being introduced by her boss at a party decades back as “my maid, Nigger Mae Lou,” while just four years ago, a black high school student found a noose in his locker.

In 1968, Mr. Perry left home for Texas A&M, a deeply conservative university whose yearbooks early in the century included Ku Klux Klan-robed students and a dairy group called the Kream and Kow Klub. The school, having just graduated its first two black undergraduates, was in the early throes of desegregation; at the end of Mr. Perry’s four years there, blacks still made up less than 1 percent of the student body.

By the time he inherited the governorship from George W. Bush in 2000, Mr. Perry appeared to have moved well beyond his racially sheltered background.

One of his early acts was to appoint the first black justice to the Texas Supreme Court. A few months later, flanked by the parents of a black man who had been dragged to death behind a pickup truck, he signed a hate crimes bill that Mr. Bush had blocked. Over his three terms as governor, he has nurtured relationships with black leaders, including the head of the Texas N.A.A.C.P., who extols the governor’s open-mindedness.

Mae Lou Yeldell, 86, of Haskell County, where Mr. Perry is from, said that the area’s history included discrimination. “All of these little old towns was kind of a prejudice thing way back there,” she said.

    Sometimes WTF just isnt enough..

Lindsey Graham On ‘Intimidation’: ‘If You’re A Southern White Guy, It Is Part Of Your Life’ | GOP presidential candidate Gov. Rick Perry (TX) has faced severe backlash this week as the result of stories that he had opposed a campaign to remove the Confederate battle flag from statehouses across the South and that he had hosted family and friends at a West Texas hunting camp that once read “Niggerhead” on its entrance gate. Yesterday on Mike Gallagher’s radio show, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) defended Perry. “Rick Perry is not a racist,” Graham said, saying the Texas governor is the victim of an “intimidation” campaign. “You know if you’re a southern white guy, it is part of your life,” Graham complained.

  9. Rick Perry’s Texas Media Strategy Falls Flat On National Stage

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/06/rick-perry-campaign-strategy-media-relations_n_997261.html

WASHINGTON — Texas Gov. Rick Perry and his top aides entered the Republican presidential primary with a set of beliefs about how changes in the electorate and in media have radically altered how a politician can communicate and shape a campaign.

    Reality bites.

The Perry campaign’s outlook in its first days was that Americans’ concerns about the economy would make jobs the only issue that mattered and would render ineffective the type of attacks on non-economic issues used to sideline Republicans in the past. Perry’s approach to the media would be similar to that of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin: Go around the traditional mainstream outlets, marginalizing them as much as possible.

It was to be a nationalization of Perry’s strategy from his Texas campaigns, in which he shunned the press. Yet, nearly two months in, this strategy has not paid the dividends that the Perry campaign likely expected.

Instead of running on the “Texas miracle” — an economic narrative disputed by some but supported by an undisputable job explosion in the Lone Star State — Perry has been beset by a series of distractions from his core message. Many voters know Perry not as the job-creating, bureaucracy-destroying Reaganesque figure he would like to be, but rather as a crony-loving governor and bumbling debater who is soft on preventing illegal immigration and thinks those who disagree with him on the issue are heartless.

  10. This is a slamming post! That’s my girrrrrrrl! Get him! Beat his ass!

Attention Governor Perry: Evolution is a fact
    RICHARD DAWKINS

    Q. Texas governor and GOP candidate Rick Perry, at a campaign event this week, told a boy that evolution is ”just a theory” with “gaps” and that in Texas they teach “both creationism and evolution.” Perry later added “God is how we got here.” According to a 2009 Gallup study , only 38 percent of Americans say they believe in evolution. If a majority of Americans are skeptical or unsure about evolution, should schools teach it as a mere “theory”? Why is evolution so threatening to religion?

    A. There is nothing unusual about Governor Rick Perry. Uneducated fools can be found in every country and every period of history, and they are not unknown in high office. What is unusual about today’s Republican party (I disavow the ridiculous ‘GOP’ nickname, because the party of Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt has lately forfeited all claim to be considered ‘grand’) is this: In any other party and in any other country, an individual may occasionally rise to the top in spite of being an uneducated ignoramus. In today’s Republican Party ‘in spite of’ is not the phrase we need. Ignorance and lack of education are positive qualifications, bordering on obligatory. Intellect, knowledge and linguistic mastery are mistrusted by Republican voters, who, when choosing a president, would apparently prefer someone like themselves over someone actually qualified for the job.

  19. I live in Texas. Rick Perry is the biggest liar in politics to this day! In 2009 he refused to accept federal stimulus money from the federal government Quoting the following”The state of Texas will not accept stimulus money from the Federal government, because we in Texas have a budget surplus”. He then used that as a platform in his 2010 run for office only to announce after his re-election, that Texas had a serious budget shortfall! What happened to the money Governor Perry? Then his record for job growth in Texas, the biggest majority of the jobs are in the service industry. Then between “GEE DUBBYA” and governor perry they have taken the job safety of the workers performing these jobs and tied their hands to where an injured worker has no recourse to get fair treatment and compensation for their injuries, thanks to “tort reform”! His latest thumb your nose at the citizens of Texas was the passing of a bill that involves public safety about making texting while driving illegal in Texas Governor Perry vetoed this bill using the idiotic reasoning that “We should not be micro managing by using state resources” The only reason I can see for this is he did not have a group of activists like M.A.D.D. to pander to!This guy is actually dumber than “GEE DUBBYA” and he learned all of his short sightedness from former president Bush! This is not to mention his other bright ideas like having Texas leave from the United States. Do I really need to continue? Rick Perry was wrong for Texas and will be even worse for the United States!

    Perry’s Texas Two-Step: Luck and Half-Truths
    By Sarah Burris

Rick Perry is the luckiest politician of all time. You can debate politics and policy and read through his record, but the hard cold fact is that not even the state of Texas likes him. With an election that had a strong third party candidate, and a eligible write-in, Perry became the only governor re-elected with the lowest vote count in Texas history. Perry became the only governor ever to have been elected with less than 40 percent of the state’s support. In fact, just barely over 38 percent. Which means he won his election with 62 percent of the Texas electorate voting for someone else.

Governor Perry was all over South Carolina talking about his record on jobs and the economy, but it seems the luck of Texas has very little to do with his leadership. This weekend the Houston Chronicle reported the top 10 reasons that the growth in the Texas economy had nothing to do with Perry’s leadership, despite him taking credit for it.

In a state with a massive oil industry and military contractors, growth with high gas prices while we’re in two wars is inevitable and it had nothing to do with what Perry was doing and everything to do with federal policies. More help for Texas businesses comes in the form of exploitation of immigrant labor being significantly cheaper, keep wages low, as well as average wages low. At the same time, Texas has avoided the housing bubble that other states experienced. While others were ballooning with home foreclosures, only six percent of Texas homeowners are in foreclosure.

    Great post, Ametia!

Every pragmatic blog should be calling Perry, Lil Chucky, and Lil Dicky Gregory out on their BS. I’m sick of it, too. With a media as sorry as ours, no wonder millions of Americans vote against their own best interests. Anyone with one brain cell should be able to see that Perry is another George W. Bush: pro-business, deregulate everything, rape the environment for profit, support the super rich, tax the middle class and poor out of existence, and lie, lie, lie.

  24. AMEN! SING IT SISTER! Lets bring this home everywhere we can.
