Hey 3chics, I agree! This is an amazing ad. I’m glad you all are still able to run it on your website. It was scraped from YouTube earlier this morning. I used it in a story I wrote over at chirpstory.com last night and by morning it was gone! I found a replacement one and inserted it, but I definitely like the cover image on the one you all have here.
As you three have stated, the Clint Eastwood commercial was an amazing and provocative statement made by a giant in the film industry who might not want to admit his underlying intentions–I guess because Eastwood is himself a Republican???.
But as Obama supporters, we’ve got to keep getting the word out so that our man–President Barack Obama– gets all the credit he deserves! We cannot be afraid or shy about this…

Thanks, Ametia. I really like what your blog (3chicspolitico) and some of the other ‘sista’ blogs are doing in terms of not holding back when it comes to telling our President’s story. Even though President Obama is now ‘slightly’ leading in the polls, we know we have our work cut out for us. There’s no reason in the world that he shouldn’t be leading that nut Mitt Romney by some 80 -20 % (that’s probably the true margin).
Our so-called news media have failed us! Looks like we’ll have to do the job ourselves.

Tonight’s inspirational Super Bowl ad featuring Clint Eastwood on behalf of Chrysler is another in a long line of befuddling artistic and socially conscious choices by the famed filmmaker. You see, Eastwood didn’t vote for the man who saved Detroit, he went with the other guy.
What’s even more fascinating is this noted conservative, registered republican since 1951, supporter of republican presidential candidates from Richard Nixon to John McCain has the filmmaking heart of a liberal. Since 1988— with few exceptions— his films have centered around three particular themes: racism, feminism, and the futility of violence. Now this may be hard to imagine from Mr. “go ahead, make my day,” but consider the evidence.
