I didn’t know where to post this question I hope i’m in the right place. violence against women was discussed this week. Here is a 2for 1 question . I read that 48% of women who are murdered were pregnant. Will you do some research . This was a reason some women had abortion. please reply

  2. Ametia says:

Governor Corbett joins a long list of far-right wing Republicans working to systematically undermine women’s health care and economic security that Mitt Romney has embraced. From Senator Roy Blunt, who sponsored legislation that would allow bosses to deny women coverage for contraception and other health services based on their political beliefs, to Governor Scott Walker—Mitt Romney’s ‘hero’—who restricted Wisconsin women’s ability to enforce in court their right to equal pay, Mitt Romney has consistently cast his lot against American women . And today, he adds the support of Corbett, who has sought to force women to undergo ultrasounds before receiving abortions and even dismissed concerns about the procedure by saying that women could ‘close their eyes’ during it. Coming just one day after Mitt Romney refused to say whether he would have signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, this endorsement speaks volumes about his commitment to women.” –Lis Smith, campaign spokeswoman

    Background:

PA Gov. Tom Corbett Dismissed The Concern That Requiring Women Considering An Abortion To Undergo An Ultrasound Went “Too Far” By Saying “You Just Have To Close Your Eyes.” “At a news conference this week, Corbett was asked about a state bill that would require women seeking abortions to undergo a mandatory fetal ultrasound. The governor said he would support the bill as long as it wasn’t ‘obtrusive.’ Then Corbett said that for any woman who might object to the procedure, well, ‘you just have to close your eyes.’ Corbett had been asked by a reporter if requiring a woman to view an ultrasound went ‘too far.’ The governor replied in full ’I’m not making anybody watch, OK? Because you just have to close your eyes. As long as it’s on the exterior and not the interior.’” [Los Angeles Times, 3/16/12]

My sistahs an daughters, I would like to hear a discussion about famous black people who mom s were single and was on welfare and they became millionaire Example: robert Johnson 1st black billionaire in USA born to a mom with 10 children in Hickville ,Miss. Maxie Waters mom single 13 children, ben carson mom of 2 children at 15 yrs old Bob Hayes worlds fastest human . My point is out of the low income welfare mothers came brilliant bright intellectually stimulated and millions and billionaires. the tax they pay, pays for thousands on welfare. These mom couldn’t claim stay at home work. All of the cards were against them. The society was saying they are sorry moms who let sorry men leave them with all of THOSE babies. There needs to be more Black MOM RECOGNITION in the media allowing them to tell there stories and struggles and yet made it.And please lets not forget all of the young black boys who went to war and died while rich white boys went to college. We need to hear from and about about their parents.

Romney being interviewed by Diane Sawyer. still can’t give a straight answer on fair pay for women. Thread up with transcript link.

  6. Ametia says:

Last week when asked if Romney would support the Lilly Ledbetter Act, his camp said they’d have to get back to us on that. Mitt Romney also called Scott Walker a hero at the beginning of this month, just one week before Walker repealed Wisconsin’s Equal Pay law: http://www.americablog.com/2012/04/romneys-hero-scott-walker-repealed-wi.html

  7. Ametia says:

Ann Romney gives a “shout out” to the NRA for MITT.

    • Ametia says:

Ann, what is your stance of quality health care for women? Do you support care for women who need BREAST SCREENINGS? Do you support your husband Mitt Romney’s plans to “GET RID OF PLANNNED PARENTHOOD?

You said it, rikyrah. Instead of the media’s fake outrage over what Hillary Rosen said, which is TRUE, they should be asking Ann Romney the TOUGH questions about how her husband’s EXTREME POLICIES will AFFECT WOMEN.

You can get back with 3 Chics, when you can…mmmmkay!

IF IT’S SUNDAY, IT’S JOHN MCCAIN…. John McCain appeared on Meet the Press this Sunday, and while the content was unremarkable, a little portion at the end was pretty revealing.

DAVID GREGORY: This is your 54th appearance on Meet the Press.

Now I know you’re a competitive guy. Bob Dole still holds the record at 63. And so we’ve been doing the calculations here. We think we can make this up, maybe within a year’s time. If you’re game for that.
JOHN MCCAIN: I’d love to try. Thank you, David.

DAVID GREGORY: Sen. McCain, thank you very much for being here.

JUST SAYIN’ AND THIS WAS IN 2009
