A teacher BUILDS lives, a policeman PROTECTS lives, and a Firefighter SAVES lives. Mitt Romney RUINS lives of ordinary citizens.
Romney doesn’t have to worry about paying for his kids’ education, crime protection, or about replacing his home should it burn down to the foundation. He has enough money to pay for these services. According to his way of looking at things, people doing these jobs are dispensable, but for the rest of us, they provide essential services. I hope that firefighters, teachers, and law enforcement personnel are listening because Romney is telling them that if they have to lose their jobs so that the rich and corporations prosper in a Romney Administration, he’s all for it. It’s sad to say, but many people in these professions will vote for Romney because they think that he doesn’t mean what he says. Anyone who can take over a company, drive it into the ground, deprive the employees of their jobs and pensions, and walk away with millions of dollars in his pocket is fully capable of destroying the jobs of millions of teachers, firefighters, and law enforcement officials.
DING, DING, DING! We have a WINNER! Hi majiir, that’s the primry goal of the GOP. Romney’s spewing the GOP’s script and game plan for the country. The GOP governors are already demolishing PUBLIC SECTOR jobs. Ask the teachers, firefighters and cops in those RED STATES.

This time, however, Romney deserves points for honesty: He has forthrightly declared that the class of government workers holding back other Americans does include cops, firefighters and teachers. And in so doing, he has singlehandedly reframed the debate from one over despised government bureaucrats to one over whether we should hire more cops, firefighters and teachers to get the economy going. This is a debate the White House will be happy to have.

In Iowa today, Mitt Romney shockingly promised to cut jobs for firefighters, police, and teachers if elected. As President Obama urges Congress to pass his plan to put cops, firefighters, teachers, and construction workers back to work — after they left as many as 1 million jobs from his plan on the table — Mitt Romney has decided we need less jobs for middle class Americans, not more. That’s the message he received this week.
