Pennsylvania today, Mitt Romney retreated from his planned bus tour route when faced with having to answer for his failed record as Governor of Massachusetts. Rather than address the assembled crowd at his planned stop in Quakertown, lay out a single new idea to create jobs now, or answer reporters’ questions about the issues of the day, Romney instead posed for photos with cows and joked about how his administration systematically destroyed public records when he was Governor.

Romney Leaves Supporters in Quakertown, Goes Elsewhere to Avoid Dems

Mitt Romney left hundreds of his supporters waiting in the heat at a Quakertown Wawa today as he went elsewhere to avoid about 100 Democrats who also showed up. Ed Rendell headlined a counter Democratic event beforehand and could now write a book about the wuss Romney. Ironically a Republican walked over to the Dem event with a sign calling the former Governor “a big, fat wuss.” It didn’t faze the Governor nor any of the other Democratic leaders there to speak about the Romney record. I did notice the man, along with an apparently drunken guy with a Santa hat on, leave as Rendell recited actual facts about tax cuts and jobs. It was as if they couldn’t absorb actual facts.
Congressional candidate Kathryn Boockvar, Auditor General candidate Eugene DePasquale, Treasurer Rob McCord and former Congressman Patrick Murphy spoke. A local teacher also spoke about cuts to education. I interviewed both Boockvar and Murphy following the event.
The Wawa convenience store by the Turnpike entrance was host to hundreds as folks began descending on it around 10 AM. When I arrived at 10:40 I secured one of the last open parking spaces and the managers inside were surprised to discover they would be hosting dueling events. A bit overwhelmed the asked the Dems to move next door to an empty produce stand. As I covered that I could see more and more conservatives packing into the Wawa lot. A man with a large Romney sign put flags on his truck and drove around the parking lot. State Police showed up, I believe at the store’s request and blocked off the entrances.

Looks like Mitt Romney’s campaign bus ran to hide out at another location in Pennsylvania.
The Romney bus tour hit a speed bump today when more than a hundred protesters showed up at a gas station where the presumptive GOP presidential candidate was scheduled to make a stop, and the candidate’s motorcade quickly rerouted to another location just three miles away…..
…According to local reports, Rendell, along with 150 to 200 anti-Romney protesters, had shown up at the original gas station to tout Obama’s message, speaking ahead of when Romney was scheduled to arrive.
About 50 people greeted Romney at the new location, including a little league baseball team,….
I guess Romney, who hid out in France rather than go to Vietnam, found another location to take his large bus and his music that is appropriate for an arriving rich potentate. According to the article at YahooNews, the Democratic protesters of 150 -200 was larger than the crowd of 50 waiting for Romney.
Have you noticed that when Romney appears at a campaign location that his audience is 99.9% white and mostly men? NO SHIT, SHERLOCK!

ORLANDO, Fla. — Mitt Romney pledged Tuesday that no matter what the Supreme Court does about President Barack Obama’s health care law, he’ll still push for a repeal of the whole thing.
Romney’s remarks to supporters at Con-Air Industries, a heating and air conditioning filter factory, didn’t mark any change in his health care policies — but they did acknowledge that the upcoming Supreme Court ruling is what’s on everyone’s minds right now. The court ruling could come in the last week of June — just two weeks away.
Romney drew a sustained standing ovation from the crowd when he repeated his promise to grant waivers from “Obamacare” to all 50 states on the first day of his presidency.
“You know, regardless of what they do, it’s going to be up to the next president whether to repeal or replace Obamacare, or to replace Obamacare. I intend to do both,” Romney said, pretending to pull a copy of the Supreme Court decision out of his pocket.

He believes that if you take away protections for consumers and workers and cut taxes even more for the wealthiest Americans, the market will solve all our problems on its own. It didn’t create good jobs or pay down our debt — it caused the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
Americans don’t want to go bact to that.

This is only the beginning of Romney running away from having to face real people with real questions about his plans for the country. He’s really going to want to run when he has to face PBO in the debates. He’ll stand on the stage, but it won’t be pretty when PBO exposes that Romney is an empty suit who is running for POTUS only because he believes it’s “his turn.”
LOl I kept having nightmares of McCain wandering around the debate stage., whild PBO was speaking. Just pitiful. Romney won’t know what hit him, while he’s mocking the President’s orator skills.
It’s a deflection and dogwhistle for his ignorant base. They won’t listen to the actual message. All they see is the black boogey man who replaced their image of who SHOULD be POTUS.
The photo clearly shows that Mitt did meet with some of his voters.
