As promised, here are a few pics from outside the Charlotte Convention Center.

Hello Everyone! Ametia here. Today was a day to unwind and have fun with the locals. Hubby & I arrived at CarolinaFest just in time to catch Janelle Monae knock us all out with her fusion of jazz/funk/rock performance.  CarolinaFest is a Charlotte annual event.  The DNC  planning committee couldn’t have chosen a more fitting venue and time of year to hold the convention.  This event is free to the community, and folks from surrounding states attend as well.  Charlotte is thriving with the influx of convention attendees too!

Ametia chilling in the Specialty Media Area. You all have been very patient, as I try to navigate my way through the new technologies of camera phones, etc.  Today was a day to take in the city and meet a few folks.  Having a great time, and  I’m so glad hubby’s along for the ride.

There’s a request for photos of Obama mechandise sold by grassroots vendors.  I’ll take some tomorrow.  Are there any more requests?  Let me know, and I will do my best to honor them. FYI:  Saw my Mayor R.T. Rybak and took pics with D.C. Newsman Jim Vance today.  I’ll post them later.  Good night all.
