Video Update: Minnesota Senate Approves Same-Sex Marriage Bill | Governor Dayton Signs Into Law

I’m so GRATEFUL that Minnesota has joined the other 11 states in passing the Same-Sex Marriage bill. When we went to the polls on November 6, 2012 and voted “NO” against the Marriage Amendment, Minnesotans made their voices clear, where our thoughts and hearts lay. Minnesota will become the 12th state, and the first mid western state to make same-sex marriage LEGAL. Remember the Iowa Supreme Court voted on their same-sex marriage bill.

BREAKING STAR TRIBUNE: After about 4 hours of debate, the Minnesota Senate has voted 37-30 to approve a bill legalizing same-sex marriage in the state.

The House approved the measure 75-59 last Thursday. The bill will now head to Gov. Mark Dayton, who is likely to sign it into law Tuesday. If he does, that would make Minnesota the 12th state to legalize same-sex marriage.
