(Reuters) – The polarizing debate that followed the killing of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in Florida last year means it could take up to two weeks to pick the six jurors needed to try the case. Prosecution and defense lawyers in the trial in Florida’s Seminole County are entitled to subject potential jurors from a pool of hundreds to detailed questioning about their knowledge of the case and whether they have formed opinions about it.

SANFORD, Fla. – George Zimmerman’s attorneys have confirmed on Wednesday that they have eliminated a possible juror in Zimmerman’s second-degree murder trial over a Facebook post.
Zimmerman attorney Mark O’Mara said that potential juror, 55-year-old unemployed painter and guitar player Jerry Counelis, told attorneys that he only decided Zimmerman should have been arrested after he was arrested. The posting was found on Facebook more than two weeks before Zimmerman was arrested.
The March 21, 2012 posting was on the Facebook page called “The Coffee Party Progressive,” a website brought up to “bring justice to Trayvon.”
I hope they’re going to sift through the six jurors and 4 alternate jurors emails, facebook pages, blogs, to see if they’re telling falsehoods!

@Jerry. If you support justice for Trayvon or ever posted anything about a needed investigation into his killing, it is nothing to be ashamed about. My concern is that White Supremacists who use this case to promote their hatred have used doxing and posted the personal information of others. This includes the personal information of witnesses, bloggers who support justice for Trayvon, and anyone associated with them.
Wherever you find your personal information posted on the internet by others, please, please, keep a record. Get a lawyer and discuss whether you have a legal option to file suit for “doxing” to embarrass, defame, and cause you fear and emotional distress. A lawyer might be able to get those sites that have posted your personal information to remove it.
Doxing is actually a federal law and based on my experience, even law local enforcement agencies are unfamiliar with it. The FBI does understand it. You, or the lawyer you retain, should file a report with the FBI office in Jacksonville. It is my understanding that they are knowledgeable of the illegal doxing that has been done in this matter.
No matter what you said or didn’t say in court; what you remembered posting, why and how, it still does not justify the violation of doxing.
