A firefighter was among those arrested on suspicion of participating in the Huntington Beach riot over the weekend, authorities said Tuesday.
Michael John Lytle, 30, of Anaheim was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest., Fullerton city officials said. He has been placed on administrative leave.
“With firefighters, it’s especially tough because we hold ourselves to such a high standard,” Fullerton Fire Chief Wolfgang Knabe told NBC4.
Also on Tuesday, Chase Scott Christman, 19, of Simi Valley, pleaded not guilty to vandalism and other charges. A Superior Court judge ordered him not to return to Huntington Beach.
Authorities were focusing on a man who was photographed smashing a bike shop display window with a stop sign Sunday as a violent crowd stormed the community after a surfing contest.
Police asked for help identifying the man seen in the image (right) and another in which he appears to be celebrating with arms raised. The photo is one of several used by investigators as they attempt to identify individuals involved in Sunday’s violence along Main Street.

Maybe someone already discussed it but I read that Faux News showed video of a Vancover riot in an attempt to pass it off as riots associated with the Trayvon Martin verdict.

Whites have a long history of rioting….yet there is a huge cover-up by the media of this fact. The media should be condemned for this!
The media is part of the white power structure that stereotypes Blacks for what individual Blacks might have done, and yet NEVER stereotypes whites for what individual whites have done.

@Ametia. Satire is a way of showing the double-standard. The only thing missing was motivation. For instance, Blacks saying “Whitey got away with it again” and then breaking store window, as opposed to “That damn surfer made me so mad I want to break this window.” The difference is violence in response to social injustices as opposed to violence for the sake of violence.

Another Unarmed Black Man Shot In Florida… Cops Fire On Innocent 60-Year-Old In His Own Damn Driveway!

Two Escambia County sheriff deputies have been placed on paid administrative leave after they opened fire early Sunday morning and shot an unarmed black man in his own driveway.
Roy Middleton, 60, had gone to find cigarettes in his mother’s white Lincoln Town Car, which was parked in the driveway of the man’s home in a quiet neighborhood in the town of Warrington.
A neighbor, who apparently didn’t recognize Middleton, called 911 to report a possible robbery, and police arrived at the scene at approximately 2:40 a.m.
Their guns drawn, deputies Jeremiah Meeks and Matthew White told Middleton to put his hands where the officers could see them.
Middleton told the Pensacola News Journal that he initially believed that the voices were from a neighbor who was playing a joke on him. When he got out of the car, however, the deputies began shooting.
“It was like a firing squad,” Middleton told PNJ from his bed at Baptist Hospital. “Bullets were flying everywhere.”
