Channel 2 Action News talked to the DeKalb County 911 operator who was involved in the McNair school shooting incident last week.
Monday was Kendra McCray first day back at work.
“Was I nervous? Absolutely. Gunshots in your ear, someone’s life in your hands. Yes, very nervous,” McCray told Channel 2’s Erica Byfield.
McCray has worked as a DeKalb 911 operator for eight-and-a-half years.
She said within 30 seconds of answering the phone on Aug. 20, she knew it was a life-and-death situation.

2. He Was Arrested Earlier this Year for Terroristic Threats
According to arrest records, Michael Hill was arrested in McDonough, Georgia, about 32 miles south of Decatur, on March 12, 2013.
According to ABC, he entered a negotiated plea and was sentenced to three years of probation and anger management.

This incident didn’t produce any dead white kids so the media is in ‘move along folks, nothing to see here’ mode.
Antoinette Tuff was afforded the protection, because of her great LOVE & COMPASSION for another Soul. The Holy Spirit guided her through the whole ordeal. I get chills listening to her directing this man to surrender his evil.
Her ability to reach past normal flight or fear into a state of courage and grace is almost unbelievable. Hopefully, she will receive the citizen’s equivalent of a Purple Heart.
Ms. Tuff’s courage and grace is something she lives with on the regular. She earned it by walking the talk. But the NRA and the rest of the gun-toting idiots can’t grasp that reality. Courage and grace doesn’t bring them profits.

All of the gun nuts are trying to downplay this incident claiming that he was never going to follow through on his mission to kill but he just wanted some attention.
They can’t accept the fact that their theory that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun didn’t apply in this case and they are pissed.
All it took was calm, communication, common sense and compassion –something the knuckle dragging gun nuts know nothing about in their play world of supped up hypermasculinity and penis extenders (guns)– to difuse this situation.
