Issa Subpoenas Seven Million Americans Who Signed Up for Obamacare
    Posted by Andy Borowitz

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Accusing them of involvement in “a widespread conspiracy to save President Obama’s failed health-care program,” Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) today subpoenaed the approximately seven million Americans who have signed up for Obamacare so far.

Arguing that the impressive enrollment numbers “don’t pass the smell test,” the House Oversight Committee chairman told reporters, “Any rational person would come to the same conclusion that I have: namely, that this is a well-orchestrated conspiracy of seven million people trying to make Obamacare look good.”

At 12:01 AM, White House Chief Technology Officer Todd Park acknowledged to QSSI, the Columbia, Maryland firm tasked with fixing Healthcare.gov that the ACA enrollments have surpassed the 7 million mark.

Park and QSSI employees celebrated with champagne after the early morning announcement in the lobby of the building as they are not allowed to drink alcohol in the offices at QSSI. Park led the countdown into the end of the enrollment deadline and preceded with a speech to the workers where he acknowledged a the number set out by CBO was surpassed.

Park said “Everyone thought that was impossible…you actually exceeded the seven million goal.”

Some of these folks cannot & will not get the FACT through their thick skulls that the ACA is the LAW OF THE LAND. They’d rather see it fail then see a large swath of Americans being insured. It’s despicable.

  6. Nearly 7,000,000 Enrolled For Healthcare as Today’s Deadline Looms

Nearly 7 million people have signed up for private insurance plans under President Barack Obama’s beleaguered health care law, reflecting a crush of enrollments just days before Monday’s deadline, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The surge comes even after federal officials announced Tuesday evening that all consumers who have begun to apply for coverage on HealthCare.gov, but who do not finish by March 31, would have until about mid-April to ask for an extension, the Washington Post reports.

The Post says the extension applies to the federal exchanges operating in three dozen states. It does not technically alter the deadline but will create a broad new category of people eligible for what’s known as a special enrollment period.

Obamacare Enrollment Could Hit 7 Million As Signup Enters Final Day

with one day left to sign up for health coverage under the Affordable Care Act, the Obama administration said Sunday the healthcare.gov website has supported more than 8 million visits since last Sunday.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, which is handling rollout of the law, last week said more than 6 million had signed up but the agency was not prepared to say whether the final tally would exceed the original projection of 7 million. But the last-minute surge of customers could put the 7 million number within reach if the calls and site visits turn into people actually selecting plans, according to statistics released this afternoon. The final day of open enrollment is Monday, March 31 to obtain coverage yet this year.

“Over the past week the site has handled record consumer demand well –supporting more than 8.7 million visits since last Sunday, with 2 million alone this weekend,” the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services said in an “operational update” released this afternoon. “The site continues to perform well under the largest sustained period of volume to date with average response times less than 400 milliseconds and an error rate of 0.5%.”

Great photos, SG2. We’d never ever expect the CORPORATE OWNED MEDIA to highlight the SURGE of Americans signing up for OBAMACARE.

Let’s call it OBAMACARE. It really doesn’t matter now does it? ACA/OBAMACARE, the GOP are still trying to repeal/bash/trash the law of the land.

    GO OBAMACARE, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • The media has an ACA surge blackout. But when there were glitches in the website, they reported it nonstop.

      • Ametia says:

And I’ll add that ABC, CBS, and NBC all think Americans are interested in the “Blade Runner” murder trial, and other infamous murder trials by white folks or a celebrity in rehab, or a sit com series finale to report on a major HEALTHCARE LAW that is benefiting AMERICANS.

        See how they roll, folks?
