Ferguson official on President Obama: ‘What black man holds a steady job for four years’

Disband both Ferguson and St Louis County police departments and start new to build trust.  Trust with the current departments is broken forever.

TheGuardian: An email suggesting that Barack Obama would not be president long – because “what black man holds a steady job for four years” – is among racist messages uncovered in a federal civil rights investigation into the police department of Ferguson, Missouri.

According to multiple accounts of a US Justice Department report, expected to be released on Wednesday, federal agents uncovered at least two municipal Ferguson emails containing racist language.

The identity of the author of the 2008 email referring to the president was not immediately clear, but the Justice Department report quotes emails between the police department and local court employees, officials told the Associated Press.

The report is said to conclude that Ferguson police officers disproportionately targeted African Americans with traffic tickets and other fines, and that the proceeds were used to balance the city budget.

The Ferguson police department could face fines or federal prosecution based on the report’s findings.

      “Lack of personal responsibility” has been spouted by from the mouths of racist whites for as long as I can remember. It is just an ineffective cover for what they are doing wrong, for how badly they have treated black folks.

      Just remember, anyone who is part of the problem will never be part of the solution. I get a blood pressure spike when folks start talking about better community relations or better policing, etc…Leopards do not change their spots. Never happens, absolutely never.

      Cop heads need to roll and some bureaucratic a$$e$ need to be put on the street. Those people believe they are larger than life, abusing their power, making the lives of other people miserable and enjoying it. And these are public servants. God help the decent, honest folks in Ferguson who have been living under siege.

        Not just in Ferguson, but all over this country. But the people charged with regulating and overseeing these cops are too scared to take them on for fear of being tagged anti-police, or even unpatriotic – and harassed. The power they seem to have over judges, D.A’s, A.G’s and high level politicos is frightening to say the least, and it’s getting completely out of hand. And the longer it takes to nip this madness in the bud, bring police departments under control and return sanity and order to the system, the harder it’ll get. They’re out of control and nobody seems to be willing to take them on and so they keep amassing power and destroying lives. Frankly, they’re no different from ISIS.

        Agreed, this is a nationwide problem with some PDs apparently worse than others. I expected the worst ones to be in the Confederacy but the LAPD appears to be right up there.

    I believe the citizenry should have a police makeup that reflects it’s makeup in percentages. It’s reported to be 67% AA so logic tells me it should be about that number for police AND police officials. Lets face it, it ain’t working with the police policing police and it never did. It may not be the complete answer, but it has to start somewhere.

    I’m thinking whoever sent that PBO e-mail won’t have a job much longer and lets face it, Wilson didn’t either. I’m hoping the investigation goes deeper and he gets what’s coming.

    One thing that has always bothered me is Wilsons story. It’s as bogus as Fogen’s for the most part but his claim that his gun misfired is bs. A semi auto pistol, or any constant feed weapon for that matter can misfire but it is because the chambered round is bad. If it happens you can pull the trigger until the cows come home and it still won’t fire that round. Been there. he never says he had to pull the slide back after that which would require 2 hands. Another lying slimeball.

      Well, it’s not unusual for a murderer, even a killer cop to make up stories to keep their sorry a$$e$ out of prison. But we the people should require that those we pay to uphold the law actually do that. Our institutions intended to provide equal justice before the law should not be allowed to enable murderers and criminals. But that’s what has happened and God knows how long it’s going to take to put this is reverse. It’s been tolerated and oftentimes encouraged for too damn long.

        Exactly……..God forbid if we lie to a cop when we get stopped for the most part, but they have no problem lying like cheap rugs and becoming the victim.

        Sick as it is, there’s a person shot from a distance of more than a few feet and the cop is holding the smoking gun……….literally, and has the nerve to say he was scared and is the victim ??

        Yeah, it is sick. And the list seems endless. Tamir Rice, a 12 year old, has now been officially blamed for his own murder, “by the failure…to exercise due care to avoid injury.”
        I kind of remember being 12 years old or around that age, that was seventh grade. Trying to reconcile that with blaming a 12 year old boy for his own murder is a real brain twister.
        But that’s where we are and they expect us to accept this and/or keep our mouths shut.

    That comment alone about PBO holding down a job is at the very heart of the racist police department in Ferguson.

    How dare Barack Hussein Obama even be President and living in that White House! And that chief and his klan buddies have had their knees on the necks of the black citizens in Ferguson for decades with their shady, unlawful, unJUST charges, arrests, and downright robbery in the guise of tickets and citations.
