Serena: “Venus is my TOUGHEST competitor EVER!” LOL

Serena has paid tribute to her older sister: “She’s the toughest competitor I’ve ever played.. and my best friend. She’s the greatest person I know. When I’m playing her I don’t think of her as a sister – she’s such a tough competitor.

The fact that #Venus is 35 years old + battling an autoimmune disease makes her abilities even more amazing. Pure talent. Both of them.

Sjogrens, and I was diagnosed with it 2 years ago.

Venus looked strong tonight, at the beginning, but she tired easily.

I fell asleep as I wrote you a response after re-reading your comment Ametia..
I’d assumed you were writing about Venus’ diagnosis, but realized you shared about your own diagnosis…

You’re such a wonderfully strong soul…we would never have guessed that our fiery, funny sis was going through this…

Do take good care of yourself ok..? Keep your eyes moist with a safe *natural* eye drop like Similisan Dry Eye Relief eyedrops (they often go on sale at Walgreens, CVS etc. which is a good time to stock up); Also, Refresh Tears Lubricant Eye drops which are great too – (these always come with coupons in the box which is helpful as they can be a tad overpriced for the tiny bottle you get.)

A *natural* mouthwash/rinse (fluoride, alcohol and preservative free) such as
The Natural Dentist Healthy Balance All Purpose Mouth Rinse, Nature’s Answer PerioWash mouthwash – or even a home-made version with aloe vera juice, tea tree and peppermint oils if you have the time. There’s a great rinse but I can’t remember the name right now – I’ll call our Natural Grocery store later to get the name, and I’ll share it…

Lots of long walks with your honey, and plenty of green leafy organic vegetables – spinach, chard, kale lightly sautéed in olive oil, and lots of wild salmon. Lots of good sleep, water and good food-based, filler-free vitamins (New Chapter makes a great one specifically for women of different ages and needs)..

Most importantly, take good care of yourself ok..

      • Ametia says:

Thank you, eliihaas. You’re spot on with the measures for this. I’m working the program. the dry eye thingy was just such a nuisance, until the eye drops. that’s been the most challenging, that and the joint pain.

We eat organic as much as possible. Hubby does all the cooking! LOL

Appreciate your kindness and wisdom, lady.
