      There’s very little that separates that woman from the likes of Lynn de Rothschild..

      Ok…maybe several million dollars; But the mindset and motivation, practically the same –

      Except that Lynn expects to directly benefit and profit from her investment, in contract dollars, White House sleepovers and Oval office access, whereas Miss Ripper can’t quite tell you what she expects from a Trump presidency except that he’s white and rich – and at the moment is the only candidate who eschews code and explicitly validates her dumb, raw hate in ways Jeb and the rest who though staunch believers, are too cowardly to speak as plainly…

    Black Women, Girls Trigger My PTSD: Iowa Man Who Called Black Girls Racial Slurs
    Patrick Tomkins, 43, has been charged with disorderly conduct after he reportedly told several black girls to “get out of my [expletive] school and to get out of my [expletive] town.”

    Patrick Tomkins, 43, was arrested at his Iowa home Sunday after he reportedly approached several African-American girls at a school playground and began calling them racial slurs, asking if they wanted to fight and holding himself.

    According to the Dubuque Telegraph Herald, Tomkins told police that Saturday’s reported incident at Prescott Elementary School took place because black women and girls trigger his post-traumatic stress disorder.

    Tomkins admitted to police that he told the girls to “get out of my [expletive] school and to get out of my [expletive] town,” the Herald reports.

    Tomkins has been charged with disorderly conduct, the Herald reports.

    Box Office: ‘Perfect Guy’ Narrowly Beats ‘The Visit’

    It’s the fifth weekend in a row that a movie featuring African-American actors in the leading roles has topped the North American box office.

    Romantic thriller The Perfect Guy looks to have narrowly beaten M. Night Shyamalan’s horror-thriller The Visit at the North American box office with $26.7 million from 2,221 theaters.

    The Visit took in an estimated $25.7 million from 3,068 theaters, the top opening of 2015 so far for a horror film. The final weekend order of the two films could change if Sunday projections are off. Both titles, kicking off the fall box office, exceeded expectations — thanks to females of all ages.

    Perfect Guy, from Screen Gems, marks the fifth weekend in a row that a movie featuring African-American actors in the lead roles topped the chart. Universal’s Straight Outta Compton won three consecutive weekends, followed by Sony/TriStar’s Christian drama War Room over Labor Day.

        And isn’t it fair to say that we all tend to be much too effusive in our defense and full- throated support of those we deem hero, and love and respect – especially when we feel they haven’t been fully acknowledged – or even acknowledged – and worse still, have been denied the recognition and respect we absolutely believe they deserve…

        We each have our heroes – and not everyone will necessarily concur with our choice of hero…But the assertive supporter will see to it that those who don’t recognize the greatness in their particular hero, are repeatedly ‘enlightened’…

        And the rest of us can still choose to reject said hero being touted, and refuse to embrace any of their visions or the biography that supposedly argues their greatness –

        In much the same way they too can refuse to see why we continue to cling to what they probably think is on our part too, delusions and overly exaggerated renditions of what makes our particular hero great…

        That’s what happens when human beings in our varied opinionated forms, no matter our level or source of knowledge/information, indulge in politics, free speech, individual interpretations, bias, manipulation, ego, and the need to be right and to win…

        When our particular hero ‘wins’, we tend to think that we too have ‘won’ – or at least we revel in our bit of satisfaction that we were spot on in our discerning were others weren’t – It’s more than good judgement, we might even attribute a bit of spiritual, otherworldly quality to our abilities – and even to that of our heroes –

        We could also claim foresight, but most importantly, we were right…

        So much truth there, eliihass. But, for me, there are no heroes in 2016, there’s no candidate I can be really excited about. I dread the election. But if I have to choose, it’s definitely Bernie.

        Lol…Liza;

        ‘Hero’ I used rather loosely here for lack of a better word to convey all that we pour into politicians and public figures we hardly know, but will fight to the death for…making enemies and severing friendships and all that…

        If only it were aways honestly, just about things that really matter like we often insist: our Democracy, our country and our world…and making sure that our votes and allegiances count specifically for policy: tangible, executable, progressive policy – like civil rights, economics, world peace, a fast declining humanity and planet…

        2016 and beyond will be tough but not because the pickings aren’t just slim, but embarrassingly anorexic – if even that..

        It will be tough because our Democratic party missed a rare and fantastic opportunity to consolidate, strengthen and to push *forward*…

        Instead of harnessing the interest and excitement, engaging and locking-in the many new voters we added to our fold, and more importantly our rosters in 2008/2012, grooming new Democratic talent for the future, and solidifying and pushing forward our shared progressive vision, the party poobahs instead dug in their archaic me first, pay to play, tuk in their old ways, terribly uncreative heels…wielded huge egos, dubious character, and what we found to be mostly empty heads with too few good ideas…publicly threw tantrums as the nursed hurt feelings and resentments – and once again fell prey to the machinations of the Clintons who’ve for all intents and purposes, completely paralyzed the entire party – and frankly, set us back, returning us to the old and not so constructive or progressive ways, and only to solely and selfishly focus on installing one, yes, one, mostly entitled, self-serving woman president…

        And arguing that the GOP is worse off than we are, is no consolation… In the best sense, and in our modern incarnation, we are a far superior party and much better than they’ll ever be because we for the most part, care – and though we have our issues and fair share of bigots and screwballs, we unlike the GOP, aren’t entirely crazy, hard-hearted, selfish racists..

        What the party leaders have done with this attempt to force-feed us Hillary by preemptively knee-capping all competition, and even trying to eliminate at first, but fearing an all out anti-coronation revolt, low-keying what ought to have been a vibrant and necessary primary, debate and nominee selection process; And then having the temerity to alternately coax and threaten us to fall in line – is tantamount to dirty politics of yore, and of the lowest and most regressive sort – and in no way represents or resembles the modern, progressive, inclusive, visionary and smart Democratic party we thought we were becoming after the 2008 elections…

        Sadder yet, who would have believed in 2009, that our very own Democratic party – the forward-looking party of progress and idealistic youth, would be – wittingly or unwittingly – helping to set us on a path to a gerontocracy…

    Kasich: Republicans shouldn’t push government shutdown

    Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) said Sunday that congressional Republicans shouldn’t shut down the government over funding for Planned Parenthood.

    Kasich, the GOP presidential candidate who was a top House Republican during the shutdown of 1995, said the approach pushed by conservatives has no clear path of success.

    GOP: Defund Planned Parenthood even if it didn’t break the law

    Congressional Republicans say they are determined to shut Planned Parenthood down, regardless of whether it broke any laws.

    In more than two months of investigations, members have yet to turn up evidence that Planned Parenthood acted illegally, the same conclusion reached by a half-dozen state investigations. The Department of Justice has so far declined to launch a formal probe.

    Several Republicans acknowledged this week that they may never find proof of wrongdoing at Planned Parenthood — but said it doesn’t matter.
    “I don’t know whether we’re ever going to be able to answer that question, whether it was illegal for them to do what they were doing,” Rep. Raúl Labrador (R-Idaho) said during the House’s first hearing on the topic Wednesday. “I don’t know if it was illegal … but it was immoral, what was seen on that video.”

    Republicans have long been fierce critics of Planned Parenthood, which is the nation’s largest provider of abortion services. Under the law, the organization is banned from using federal funding for abortions, except in cases of rape, incest or medical necessity.

    “The issue is not whether there’s been a crime committed or not,” Rep. Ted Poe (R-Texas.) told the same group at the hearing. “This issue is whether or not taxpayers should fund Planned Parenthood. That’s the issue before this committee.”

    Poll: Trump tops GOP field in California

    Billionaire Donald Trump leads the crowded 2016 Republican presidential field in California, according to a poll released Sunday morning.

    The USC Dornsife/LA Times Poll found that 24 percent of Republicans said they would support Trump.

    Retired pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson is in second place with 18 percent.

    Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) each received 6 percent support.

    Pollsters found that Carson would beat Trump in a head-to-head matchup, however, 43 percent to 32 percent.

    Once, and only once, in 2011, have I attended the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in Washington, D.C., on the grounds, as I explained then, that Voltaire is said to have cited when he declined a second invitation to an orgy: once a philosopher, twice a pervert. Luckily for the philosopher in me, it turned out to be an auspicious night. Not only, as we did not know then, was President Obama in the midst of the operation that would lead shortly to Osama bin Laden’s killing; it was also the night when, despite that preoccupation, the President took apart Donald Trump, plastic piece by orange part, and then refused to put him back together again.

    Trump was then at the height of his unimaginably ugly marketing of birther fantasies, and, just days before, the state of Hawaii had, at the President’s request, released Obama’s long-form birth certificate in order to end, or try to end, the nonsense. Having referred to that act, he then gently but acutely mocked Trump’s Presidential ambitions: “I know that he’s taken some flack lately—no one is prouder to put this birth-certificate matter to rest than the Donald. And that’s because he can finally get back to the issues that matter, like: did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And—where are Biggie and Tupac?” The President went on, “We all know about your credentials and breadth of experience. For example—no, seriously—just recently, in an episode of Celebrity Apprentice”—there was laughter at the mention of the program’s name. Obama explained that, when a team did not impress, Trump “didn’t blame Lil John or Meatloaf—you fired Gary Busey. And these are the kinds of decisions that would keep me up night.”
