After a Central Texas man falsely claimed anti-police vandals had attacked the family pickup truck and tagged the vehicle with ‘Black Lives Matter’ graffiti, he received a great deal of cash and support. The story gets worse. Three family members are now facing charges.
On Sept. 8th, Scott Lattin, a disabled veteran, told Whitney police someone tagged his truck with “Black Lives Matter” and other graffiti because he displayed pro-police messages and symbols on his pickup truck. $6,000 in donations poured in from around the country.
In a new development, Cindy Lattin, who is Scott’s wife, and their 18-year-old son, Jason, were arrested Monday and charged with false report of a police officer.
Scott Lattin claimed previously that he was targeted because of the ‘pro-police’ stickers he displayed on his truck.
But after Fox 4 News reported on the alleged incident, the police compared the footage with photos they had taken. Due to discrepancies, like the inside suddenly ripped apart when it was previously intact, police discovered that Lattin was lying and he later confessed, according to the police.
Fox 4 News reports that it was after the family’s stories changed several times and investigators found evidence of a black spray paint can at the home, that Scott admitted to doing the damage to the truck.
The donation site GoFundMe is refunding contributions and the link is no longer active.

I believe they cooked this little scheme up for the purposes of smearing the members of BLM and to make money. I also suspect that they knew that once their lie became public, some gullible tool would set up a gofundme account for them. I’m glad their *sses got caught. It serves them right. Hopefully, they learned that it’s not a good idea to engage in despicable behavior, but I’m not holding my breath. I can imagine that if the Lattins or any of those who donated to their gofundme account is asked if they possess racist attitudes toward others, they’d be highly offended, and they’d be lying. I think that the fact that they were so easy to send these tools their money based on a lie about BLM proves it.
They could have gotten folks killed and just didn’t care.

They are simply despicable. Takes a seriously hateful and hardened heart – and an unbelievable dishonesty, to not only contemplate, but to carry out such an act;
But somehow they’ll end up playing and being seen as the victims…
