The Killing of #TamirRice | Prosecutors were openly snickering with Grand Jurors during expert testimony

Tamir Rice 12 yrs oldAttorney Jonathan Abady says witnesses stated prosecutors were openly snickering with Grand Jurors during expert testimony. A child is shot dead and prosecutors are snickering? Who does that except a savage monster without a care about human life?

We are in trouble in this country. Racist juries are wreaking havoc across America. The Grand Jury system needs to be abolished. The deck is stacked against African Americans and fixed to fail. Time for this failed system to end.

Wickedness is running rampant. Police are executing little boys and Grand Juries are refusing to indict them. God help us.

White men with gunsBut white men can aim guns at federal agents & live to tell about it and not see a day in jail but 12 year old Tamir Rice plays with a toy gun in a park and is shot dead.

How long will the US Justice Department ignore the sufferings of black citizens? Tired of their damn reports. We want police held accountable for their crimes. No one is above the law.  Or is it?

The emotional and mental suffering African Americans have to go through & still no justice at any level of GOVERNMENT.  We are on our own.

  2. If a black cop shot a 12yr old white boy in the park w/ a toy gun, there’d be outrage across the country & he’d be charged in 3-2-1. You see how fast black cops were charged in the killing of the 6yr old in Louisiana?

Make no mistake, Kathleen Kelly is the “rural voter” that gets as angry as the GOP when PBO says “Trayvon could have been my son.

It’s laughable when Blackademics like Dyson write Hilary can save us Blacks articles. Save us for whom, her own ignorant supporters?

So Hillary Clinton’s new version of Harriet Christian has already reared her head. Hillary and Bernie sure attract the GOP-lites.

      Monie @MonieTalks_1
To have a supporter of HRC feel the need to take a quip at PBO in order to lift her up solidifies that many Dems have never had his back.

      Monie @MonieTalks_1
You have Donald Trump taking shots all up and through of his former homies, Bill and Hillary but her supporters are taking shots at PBO.

The system is working as intended. Reform is not a solution. Rehabbing a racist??? Find that kinda hard. I care not for the DOJ. This will only change with massive boycotts. Hit the pockets and go after sponsors and backers of these police unions that enable criminal behavior by those entrusted to uphold the law. We are not looking at “lone wolves” in this situation; we are looking at a pack mentality and they seem out for blood. When the murder of an innocent child is spun to make an incompetent adult seem reasonable the scales of justice have been irreparably broken. The prosecutors who without compassion and with bias and prejudice erode justice and take away lives, we sit here trying to explain our rage and sadness to racists. Wtf???!!!

A lot of these deaths hurt, but I know why Jordan, Trayvon and Tamir hurt me so much…..

YOU CAN LITERALLY SEE THAT THEY WERE STILL BABIES!!

They had not grown out of their Baby Faces.

You take a picture of them when they were 1 or 2, side by side with a picture of when they were MURDERED…and it’s only older…

They hadn’t grown out of it.

Which is why the evilness of them trying to perpetrate that that MURDERER thought he was ‘OLDER’ than what he was..

    PHUCK THAT WAS A LIE.

    A DAMN LIE!!

Their Baby Faces are right there.

    • eliihass says:

That the adults in these instances were so removed and incapable of seeing these children as children is heartbreaking enough…

But the idea that ones humanity only matters – and one should not be murdered – only because they are children, is frightening…

The argument that in an open-carry state, an officer shot and killed a non-threatening lone figure – sitting all alone in a park – because he mistook them as an adult, is still madness…

But it is all about that permanent detachment that freely aids and enables the denial of humanity to those who look different…

Tim McGinty just couldn’t relate…he couldn’t see Tamir Rice as his child, grandchild, his neighbor’s child or grandchild…He saw this kid only through the prism of every negative stereotype he could muster to ensure that the white murdering cop got off – He saw and framed Tamir Rice as a disposable nuisance the community was rid off…oops…When murdering an innocent child – any human being for that matter – is reduced to an oops…and explained away as ‘reasonable’…

Not even McGinty’s oops was convincing or cared to be…As long as they had the darkest they could find in their ranks uniformed spokesman reiterate the official line…oops, but justice has been served..and ‘closure’…

One wonders if these senior black officials in Cleveland ever worry that their children or grandchildren could be next…if they do, they sure aren’t showing it …

Or perhaps they seem to care more about riding with the status quo to preserve their positions – or for whatever reason, including the indifference and the it could never happen to my kid stance Tyren alluded to – simply being good boys, keeping their mouths shut, weasling out and playing along…

This from Bernie, nothing yet from Hillary. I think that calling for a federal investigation is weak sauce. Of course there should be a federal investigation and it should already be complete. The murder happened over a year ago. And there should be federal indictments by now. This whole idea that the state should be allowed to play its hand before the feds think about investigating is flawed. The prosecutor deliberately stalled and it was very clear that he wasn’t seeking an indictment. I want to know how these candidates intend to use the DOJ to enforce civil rights laws. Are they going to investigate PDs, write reports, and maybe a consent decree? Or are they going to indict cops who are criminals and have trials? And what are they looking for in their Attorney General? What is the DOJ’s role in this crisis, as they see it? I want that question asked and answered in a straightforward manner by each candidate.

After No Tamir Rice Case Indictment, Bernie Sanders Calls For Federal Investigation Of 12-Year-Old’s Killing
BY ABIGAIL ABRAMS @ABBYABRAMS ON 12/29/15 AT 9:19 AM

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has criticized an Ohio grand jury’s decision Monday not to indict two police officers in connection with the death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice. “I think we need to have a federal investigation to take a hard look at that. But I will also tell you that we need, nationally, to take a hard look at the use of force,” Sanders told MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry Monday.

Sanders, who is running for the Democratic nomination for president, has spoken out about police shootings before and has made criminal justice reform an important aspect of his platform. Earlier this month, he called for an investigation into the Chicago Police Department after a video of police officers shooting 17-year-old Laquan McDonald was released in November. The Vermont senator also called on Chicago officials to resign if they were involved in suppressing the video, and questions continue to arise about how long Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel knew the details of the video.

While he acknowledged Monday that police have a difficult job, Sanders said that he sees a need for a cultural change within police departments in the U.S. “As a nation, what we have got to recognize is that lethal force should be the last response, not the first response — and we’re seeing too much, I think, of shooting in this country,” he said.

When Harris-Perry asked Sanders about gaining the trust of black voters, he talked about how his economic policies would help African-American communities disproportionately affected by issues like low minimum wages and graduation rates. He added that these are the same kinds of issues that make him think Donald Trump supporters would like his policies.

“There is enormous anxiety within the middle class of this country,” Sanders said. “What Trump is doing is saying, okay, I have the solution. We should hate Latinos; we should hate Muslims. Vote for me.’”

There’s no black demographic to court in the New Hampshire primary…

The pre-packaged bag of tricks contain only that which is deemed relevant and effective to winning over the immediate New Hampshire audience who will be voting shortly – and determining who ‘wins’ in the end..

It is all about what they think Iowa and New Hampshire voters want to hear…or what might otherwise offend them…

This is not about a principled, whole and human response that sees fit to enter a broader conversation – engaging an audience that comprises American citizens who though not black, are still parents, grandparents, citizens…engaging them to understand that we’ve got to do better as a country together…that we can’t tackle what they see as their own separate priorities, immediate concerns in isolation of basic human rights for fellow citizens – even of a different race – right here in our country…

(Yes, it’s fantastic that some in these communities are being applauded for reaching out to Syrian immigrants arriving in their communities, but it’s time to also extend some of that humanity, neighborly love, caring and outrage at ‘cruelty’, to the black American child, woman, man murdered in cold blood and deprived of their humanity in forever in cities around this country.)

Making a broader and principled argument about why we should all care..why this is wrong, and why and how we’ve got to do better…

But isn’t that why our union will continue to be imperfect…and why we’ll keep electing self-serving opportunists who only tell us what they think we want to hear to get them elected, humoring and bamboozling those who want to be bamboozled – long enough to get them to aid their political ambitions…We always opt for the myopic…politicians and all…

An empathetic, caring, principled person running for political office will always find a way to have that broader conversation that touches on what matters with all audiences…linking those glaring issues and human stories that may not be of any concern at first to the immediate audience – A real human being will find ways to insist that their audience not ignore the huge short-circuiting fluorescent pink elephant burning a huge hole in the middle of the room…

No matter how fantastic the new paint job requested for the house turns out in the end, if those huge leaks in the roof aren’t addressed – and quickly – and everyone keeps pretending not to notice the swelling walls, sagging ceilings, warped doors…sooner than later, the roof caves in…

    • There must be justice for #TamirRice. I’m beginning to feel bitterness against Loretta Lynch & I don’t want to. We want cops prosecuted. Tired of damn reports and then nothing.

      • eliihass says:

Sorry to break it to you SG, but Ms Lynch simply isn’t it…I said it from the start, she simply isn’t …

There’s a reason Rudy Giuliani was and remains one of her biggest endorsers and cheerleaders…Always, always look at who the vocal allies are, and who’s doing the endorsing and cheering on…It pretty much tells you all you need to know…

Besides working to keep the support and ‘respect’ of these dubious folks, she wants to ensure that a lucrative post-attorney general future awaits her. So she can’t risk offending those who’ll be controlling those lucrative offers and bank books, by being too vocal on what is termed ‘controversial’ issues…or in common parlance – black folks being murdered in cold blood by tax-paid ‘law enforcement’…

It’s a shame…but we’re at the point where reaching the pinnacle of ones professional career no longer even frees one to do the right thing…The hustling continues to the grave..

The cops executed Tamir Rice, a 12 year old child, and left him to bleed out and die alone without knowing what happened to him, why he was fatally shot, just like Trayvon Martin bled out on the ground and didn’t know why.

“What Trump is telling the American people is that low wages are good,” Sanders told Harris-Perry. “That’s good for America. What he is telling the American people is he wants to see hundreds of billions of dollars in tax breaks for the 0.2 of 1 percent, and that’s the word we have got to get out to working-class people who are inclined to support Trump: It’s old-fashioned trickle-down economics — the rich will get richer under Trump’s ideas, and the middle class will continue to decline.”

This is for the kids who die,

    Black and white,

    For kids will die certainly.

The old and rich will live on awhile,

    As always,

    Eating blood and gold,

    Letting kids die.

Kids will die in the swamps of Mississippi

    Organizing sharecroppers

Kids will die in the streets of Chicago

    Organizing workers

Kids will die in the orange groves of California

    Telling others to get together

    Whites and Filipinos,

    Negroes and Mexicans,

All kinds of kids will die

Who don’t believe in lies, and bribes, and contentment

    And a lousy peace.

Of course, the wise and the learned

Who pen editorials in the papers,

And the gentlemen with Dr. in front of their names

    White and black,

Who make surveys and write books

Will live on weaving words to smother the kids who die,

    And the sleazy courts,

    And the bribe-reaching police,

    And the blood-loving generals,

    And the money-loving preachers

Will all raise their hands against the kids who die,

Beating them with laws and clubs and bayonets and bullets

    To frighten the people—

For the kids who die are like iron in the blood of the people—

And the old and rich don’t want the people

To taste the iron of the kids who die,

Don’t want the people to get wise to their own power,

To believe an Angelo Herndon, or even get together

    Listen, kids who die—

Maybe, now, there will be no monument for you

    Except in our hearts

Maybe your bodies’ll be lost in a swamp

Or a prison grave, or the potter’s field,

Or the rivers where you’re drowned like Leibknecht

    But the day will come—

You are sure yourselves that it is coming—

When the marching feet of the masses

Will raise for you a living monument of love,

    And joy, and laughter,

And black hands and white hands clasped as one,

And a song that reaches the sky—

The song of the life triumphant

    Through the kids who die.

  20. Faith Letter to Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Tamir Rice

    http://www.showingupforracialjustice.org/faith_lynch?recruiter_id=8790

    Dear Attorney General Loretta Lynch:

We are writing to express our profound concern over how Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty has handled the case of the murder of Tamir Rice. As white leaders of faith, our traditions teach us that justice is central to the building of beloved community; that justice is sorely lacking in how Tamir Rice’s case is being handled.

As you know, last year twelve-year-old Tamir Rice was shot and killed in Cleveland, Ohio by Officer Timothy Loehmann while playing in a park. It has been over a year since Tamir’s murder, and neither of the officers involved in this shooting have been charged with a crime. County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty has openly criticized Tamir’s family as having economic motives in seeking justice for Tamir, leaked evidence to the public, and has yet to press charges against the officers. Timothy McGinty has mishandled Tamir Rice’s case at every turn, and has proven himself unfit to serve the public in this matter.

Faith Letter to Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Tamir Rice

Showing Up for Racial Justice is a national network of white people working for racial justice as part of a multi-racial movement for justice. As white faith leaders with a common commitment to the sacred dignity and worth of all people, we are deeply disturbed by how Black people are being treated by the police and criminal justice system.

We urge you to use the power and influence of the US Department of Justice to ensure that a special prosecutor is appointed to Tamir’s case.

    Sincerely,
