Black People don’t OWE Hillary Clinton SHIT!

aquarius_w529_h352

3 Chics is going on the record, WE DON’T OWE Hillary or Bill Clinton JACKSHIT! We’re NOT buckin’, shuckin’, jivin’ for these folks. We’re not paid to shill and cape for anyone.

Throughout the years, and especially the past 7 1/2 years, Hillary Clinton has shown us who she is and what’s she’s about and it’s ALL ABOUT HILLARY.

paul-pierce-the-truth-is-out-there-china

Better get on out there and find it, Hillary Clinton.

We won’t be bullied and whipped into submission to coronate Hillary.

SG2: Why would I want to vote any Clinton back in the White House who gave us failed policies targeting & destroying black families? 1994 Crime Bill, Welfare reform, DADT, DOMA. Stay woke folks!

When Bill Clinton took office in 1992, 845,000 ppl were in prison. When he left there were 1,334,000. Mass incarceration of black people. As an advocate, I can’t say #BlackLivesMatter & then vote for someone whose polices destroyed black families just because they’re a Democrat. Not going to happen!

Hillary Clinton lobbied for the 1994 Crime Bill with right wing rhetoric calling black youths predators. We all remember the dog whistles, fairy tales and mocking President from the 08 campaign calling him naïve.

No more Clintons in the White House. They’ve done enough damage that black people are still suffering from.

And we don’t want to dance with you either

Elihaas:

“You know fam, that whole fake it and wing it until you can make it way of the too slick… that slick con that folks like the Clintons pull to wangle their way into mostly unearned esteem and inevitability…

It’s that slick spin that sells you the Bill Clinton is the ‘greatest’ politician ever (sometimes they qualify that with the word ‘retail’) …That it was all thanks to him and his one speech at the DNC that President Obama was re-elected…

It’s that same slick spin that force-feeds the notion of Hillary as the ‘smartest, most accomplished, most qualified and most experienced’ female politician …at first by virtue of having been first lady for 8 years, then because she carpetbagged her way into the Senate via their same strong-arming tactics, and lately, the laughable and blatantly false assertion that President Obama who declined to make her his V.P twice, somehow made her SoS because he ‘trusted’ her ‘judgement’…(It all boils down to that same ‘extraction of concessions’ she repeatedly talked about last night as she and Bernie Sanders went back and forth on normalizing relationships with Iran. How ironic.)

And don’t forget that it was *she* who advised President Obama on that very tough decision on whether to take Bin Laden out or not…LOL…For the duration of her time as SoS, President Obama mostly conferred with and relied on his National Security team led by Tom Donilon…It was only after John Kerry took over as SoS, that we saw the natural and seamless coordination of high stakes foreign policy between the President and his SoS return..

Everyone seems to forget that we were all watching as it all went down…We know that the President made the SoS offer to not only prevent a splintering of the Democratic party, but to assuage the vindictive Clintons so they wouldn’t outrightly sabotage him and his presidency – which they still did courtesy of their friends – and their own words and actions in some instances-

And yet for all the titles and claimed years in public service, we are hard-pressed to decipher any actual tangible accomplishments…

The concept of choreography, perception, projection, manipulation and exploitation played out to the hilt..

It’s like the conman with $30 to his name, who struts around dressed up in an expensive suit – everyone assumes he’s wealthy and has a lot of his own money – and so, much more is automatically bestowed upon him – he’s afforded the benefit of the doubt…the rich befriend him, pick up the tab as they treat him to expensive meals and fine wines and tee times at the exclusive courses…they fly him around on their private jets, put him up at their luxury mansions and hotels – and pay him huge amounts to be on the board of Directors at their Fortune 500 companies…

And that’s how he becomes rich and influential…

Perception.

It’s that perception that assumes Hillary ‘accomplished’ and ‘qualified’ – and yet have people ‘surprised’ that for all the retroactive and automatic projection of smart and high-flying, she actually flunked the D.C bar exam, and only managed to pass the bar in Arkansas. She had no job offers in Arkansas – none – and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there. She was not hired at the prestigious Rose Law Firm, until Bill became Arkansas Attorney General – and she was made a partner only after Bill was elected Arkansas Governor.

So, here we have the supposed ‘greatest’ politician of our time, who supposedly got President Obama a second term, but couldn’t get his supposedly more accomplished and more qualified candidate wife elected in 2008 against the same no-name black guy who was supposedly wet behind the ears…

And even now, having kneecapped and preemptively cleared the field, and lined up the entire political and economic establishment behind her, she’s still having a tough time beating off the no-name guy from Vermont who only jumped into the race on a whim – and without any advantages and all odds against him..

And now they demand the President endorse her or else…

The inevitable candidate…the supposedly most qualified, most accomplished, most experienced, most ready on day one…the ‘accomplished’ woman who according to Donna Brazille does not need to wrap herself around President Obama to win…

Even with the assist of her supposedly greatest campaigner and retail politics dealing, ‘most popular’ president ‘evah’ husband Bill, out in force wheeling and dealing, strong-arming and campaigning on her behalf…

Even with all of the Democratic Party machine and the Establishment, Wall Street, the media, Hollywood, some of the top Neocon hierarchy, Henry Kissinger et all, all behind her …

We are being told that President Obama must endorse her now or else…that he has to abandon his wise Statesman and Party leader stance to stay out of the primaries, because even with all of her advantages and top assists, and having locked in every possible last adviser, brain trust, political set-up, and every Senator, congress person and even Cabinet Secretaries…she’s still lagging against the unassuming Senator from Vermont…

So much for all those memes of ‘greatness’, ‘accomplished’, ‘qualified’, ‘experienced’, ‘ready’..inevitable…

She’s very curiously, always needed the assist of unusually high numbers of people helping her out, to get ahead…She needs to be constantly choreographed and propped up and defended and talked-up by every high-profile man, woman and group out there – and still, she mostly fails to impress…

And even with all the expensive advisors and outsized high profile help, and for all the heavy choreography and force-fed projections of ‘superior’ ‘greatness’ that has been spun since time immemorial by their spin masters, courtiers, paid mouthpieces and those paid to herald them… and even with her chest-thumping and loud protestations and rehearsed ‘presidential’ affectations in speech and gestures, she still barely manages a mediocre performance and outing – again and again…

One thing I do know is that I greatly resent how the Obamas have been forced again and again to go against their preferences and to even compromise themselves and their integrity in some instances, to accommodate the never-ending antics, demands and needs of the hostile Clintons and their attempts to ‘extract every concession’ – even when none is on offer or owed…

And in the end, after everything, the Clintons take – and are given – all the credit…”

Rikyrah:

The Clintons are messy and entitled.

This entire ‘ process ‘ of 2016 has been about the CORONATION of Hillary Clinton.

They never got over Barack Obama laying waste to her CORONATION in 2008.

There are so many things wrong with Hillary Clinton.

She doesn’t understand what it means to be ‘ THE FIRST’.

Her arrogance about the email server is Exhibit A, B and C in that.

What we’ve found out about with the email server issue is that she continues to surround herself with the same group of sycophants that were there in 2008. And, these people are messy and no good.

The Presidency of Barack Obama has changed a lot of things.

One of the things that I appreciate most of this President and First Lady, is that they’ve known, from the beginning, what the responsbility is for ‘ THE FIRST’, and have acted accordingly. They were humble enough to know what had to be done, and they went on and did it. We never had to defend Barack Obama on unforced errors. You can defend policy choices, but unforced errors, no.

Because, POTUS and FLOTUS didn’t play that, and were not going to keep people around that would make unforced errors.

The Clintons are swarming with people who make unforced errors. I haven’t defended Hillary one iota over the email server issue, because it was her unforced error, and because there are plenty of people, who stayed silent as PRESIDENT OBAMA AND FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA were under attacks -for no reason – that all of a sudden can be anywhere and everywhere defending Hillary Clinton.

And, the Obama coalition isn’t supposed to notice this?

Really?

Seriously?

We’ve had 7 years of No Drama Obama.
We’ve had 7 years of an example of someone who has had unbelievable opposition the entire time that he was President, yet, found a way to get stuff done.
We’ve had 7 years of a man who spent his time trying to NOT get us into war – but, that never meant that he wanted the United States to be weak, and more importantly, HE set the terms of the debate for American Foreign Policy, and didn’t let the Republicans tell him SHYT about what to do, and certainly didn’t let them bully him into doing things that he didn’t want to do.

When it comes to Black people and expectations, we’ve been lectured by the Blackademics about how we didn’t hold President Obama ‘ accountable’ for not coming through for a non-existent Black Agenda. They’ve been silent on the Congressional Representatives who couldn’t be bothered to stand in support for our President. We weren’t supposed to use ‘accountability’ for anyone except the President.

The Blackademics and those in Congress despise our President too – because he ruined their hustle. They spent their time selling books, and doing lectures, and getting on tv, talking about what COULD happen..ONLY IF the perfect storm of things happened.

And, then, came President Barack Obama. In the Senate for a short time, and still accomplishes things. Then, he becomes President, and begins to rack up accomplishment after accomplishment.

Why should Black people settle for people having conferences and selling books, when they’ve been shown what TRUE Black leadership looks like?

Why indeed.

And, why should we remotely accept going back to the same scam, being told by these fraudulent Blackademics that somehow, HILLARY CLINTON will do more for Black people than PRESIDENT OBAMA.

GET-THE-FUCK-OUTTA-HERE.

President Barack Obama has had many accomplishments, but don’t get it twisted. He has spent most of his Presidency cleaning up the messes created by OTHER Presidents: namely George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

Yes, Bill Clinton, who helped usher in the Prison Industrial Complex.
Bill Clinton that gave is DOMA and DADT.
Yes, Bill Clinton of ‘welfare reform’.

Clinton was a spineless, mediocre, triangulating President who lucked into a financial boom fueled by the technology bubble.
Not once did he ever remotely show the nerves of steel and spine and willingness to stand out there alone, because he felt the conviction.

Barack Obama had done that repeatedly during his Presidency.

We are on our THIRD generation of young Black men as fodder for the Prison Industrial Complex…..and, Bill Clinton’s says ‘ oops, my bad’, and it’s all supposed to be forgiven?

PHUCK.OUTTA.HERE.

Don’t step towards Black folks and tell us that we owe the Clintons ANYTHING.

And, I do mean ANYTHING.

Bill Clinton got 90% of the Black vote.

Like, for a Democratic Candidate, that’s such an accomplishment?

What Democrat since Jimmy Carter hasn’t gotten 90% of the Black vote.

Don’t think you can scare Black people into voting for Hillary.

We are the WRONG ONES to try with that. With our history, nothing much scares us, because we’ve been through it all.

We.have.the.receipts.

Don’t come at us with anything BUT respect.

After voting TWICE for a man that we could support with our whole hearts..

With someone that we might not have agreed with all his decisions, but we TRUSTED his judgement…

Turning around, and asking us to vote for someone that nobody with sense could trust on DOMESTIC or FOREIGN POLICY issues….

REALLY?

SERIOUSLY?

NAME ONE THING that Barack Obama has done, in his seven years as President…
that you would turn around and say, ‘ Hillary would have done it better.’

UH HUH.
UH HUH.

And here’s the current VILE TACTIC. Using old Biddy, and former SoS Maddy Albright to THREATEN WOMEN WITH HELL, if they don’t vote for Hillary. Now ain’t that a BTICH! But this is how desperate Hillary Clinton and her minions are to hoist her pasty, lying, ENTITTLED ass in to the Oval Office leather.

Just look at the SMUG, ENTITLLED demeanor on Hillary’s face, her posture. Yes; it really does take a VILLAGE to prop up your AZZ!

albrightFI

Absolutely, PATHETIC, SHAMEFUL, and INSULTING to the ninth degree, REALLY.

EXACTLY! Bill Clinton’s presidency DEVASTATED our black citizens, making it open day on arresting young black men by incentivizing the state’s to build more prisons. Then his criminal law act created a 60% increase in incarcerations. Guess who’s borne the brunt? Yep. And the ramifications of broken families, broken communities and racist city officials and police have resulted in ghetto-izing many minority communities. Their arrogance is stultifying.

Thanks for calling them out on it. They still don’t “get it.” Today’s electorate can check out specious claims immediately via the Internet – then shoot the truth out across social media-all in a matter of minutes.

Got so pissed when someone posted a story about Bill doing a mea culpa last summer over his criminal law act, I put this together:
More Clinton history-sorry so long, but hope you’ll read. It’s my feeling this is very important for being an informed voter.

Bill Clinton admits his crime law made mass incarceration ‘worse
    07/15/15 02:12 PM—UPDATED 07/15/15 08:21 PM
    by Eric Levitz
“Yesterday, the president spoke a long time and very well on criminal justice reform,” the former president said. “But I want to say a few words about it. Because I signed a bill that made the problem worse and I want to admit it.”
In 1994, President Clinton signed the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, which offered states billions in funding for new prisons – but only if they adopted “truth in sentencing laws” that would reduce prisoners’ eligibility for parole. The law also established mandatory life-sentences for people convicted of a third violent felony, among other punitive measures. By the end of the Clinton presidency, the number of people in America’s prisons rose by nearly 60%, according to the Brennan Center for Justice.” …
    …………………….
Perhaps I’m much too cynical, but I find the timing of this “confession”-considering it came after his wife had declared her candidacy for president-to be more than suspect.

I mean, he’s a lawyer. He was the ATTORNEY GENERAL of Arkansas, prior to being elected governor. I was interning with the AG Criminal Justice Division in 1980, and saw first-hand how active and involved he and the CJ Division was int the aftermath of the infamous Holt v Sarver, a 1969 lawsuit which exposed horrific prison conditions in the state – that went well cruel and inhumane. The 1980 Robert Redford movie “Brubaker” was based on this.

Specifically, as Attorney General of Arkansas in 1978, when changes to the prison system were being implemented in the aftermath of the lawsuit, and under federal oversight, Bill Clinton became VERY familiar with criminal law and the prison system.

While AG, Clinton was VERY active with making sure of state compliance with the myriad court decrees that resulted from the lawsuit. In fact, Clinton himself drafted and entered into what was a very unique for-it’s-consent degree in 1978, creating a position of compliance coordinator to assure ongoing compliance with the court.

At the time, Clinton also sat on the board of the New York-based Criminal Justice Institute.
    http://www.nysun.com/national/correspondence-between-clinton-treuhaft/67060/

Please note I provide this background to substantiate my assertion that President Clinton had more than sufficient legal and hands-on real world experience that he could hardly NOT have known the predictable consequences of signing his crime law. And I find his mea culpa to not only be far too late, but to be cynically motivated by his wife’s campaign and a perceived “weak spot” with the African American vote – since our African American community across the country suffered far greater consequences of the act than any other group.
The impact of the bill was a 60% increase in incarceration – thanks to the “incentivized” state promotion to build more prisons and invoke laws such as the “3 strikes” laws. Of that 60% incarceration increase. the greatest percentage of those were/are young African American males.

As a progressive myself, I fully recognize that this decimates families and communities. Many of our already-distressed communities got a government-sponsored roller coaster ride to hell.

So I ask: if, as a progressive, I can foresee this type of impact coming (since this isn’t the first law ever passed to oppress minorities while winning predominantly white-racist approval based on the fallacious belief of “keeping our homes safe” – why couldn’t the highly intelligent, educated, and experienced self-declared progressive see what he was creating? And it’s not like the bill was written in a forced vacuum-there are PLENTY of experts and advisors to advise on effects.

Based on this, I find his mea culpa to be specious at best. Combined with the timing of it, years later and after his wife declared for a presidential attempt, well, – pardon my language,
but it’s complete bullshit. And it’s insulting to our African American citizens, because the reasoning is so flagrantly obvious-to “make up” so HRC can count on the African American vote. Not unlike that ninny Albright’s declaration that all women should vote for her as “sisters.” THAT was a huge turd in the punch bowl!

But both declarations confirm to me that HRC and her rolling coffee-klatch of disconnected women never were actual feminists. They benefitted from it, by becoming successful. But they weren’t there with us during women’s liberation, the establishment of the National Organization for Women, or helping push the Equal Rights Amendment. Because any one of us who did, immediately recognizes that stupid comment for the chauvinist message it conveys.

Fortunately, our feminist movement succeeded-because a lot of self-possessed young women who don’t ever think about “equality of the sexes” now-as well as many of our sons-saw it for the gross insult it is. I’m still appalled at Steinem, but that’s on her.
So given this, I’m betting – and I’m seeing – that African Americans are part of the heaving mass that’s educating itself on the candidates, and NO ONE should assume their support. But the hubris of the Clintons still never ceases to amaze me.

  3. WelfareReform: The Clintons didn’t just throw black ppl under the bus, they ran them over while smiling in their face.

How Bill Clinton’s Welfare Reform Created a System Rife With Racial Biases

    http://billmoyers.com/2014/05/12/how-bill-clintons-welfare-reform-created-a-system-rife-with-racial-biases/

It’s become a political cliché that “red” and “blue” states represent two Americas. But consider how states prioritize programs like health care and education — or how they administer their social safety nets — and the differences are very real. Federal policies help smooth out some of those differences — everyone is eligible for the same Medicare and Social Security programs when they get older — but conservatives have long campaigned to broaden the divide by turning over more and more federally administered programs to the states.

We can see how that might play out by looking to the past. In 1996, Congress “reformed” our existing welfare system in much the same way Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) wants to “reform” Medicaid and other anti-poverty programs: they killed off the federal entitlement and turned the money over to the states to implement new models of welfare as they saw fit. It was a central plank in Newt Gingrich’s “Contract with America” 20 years ago and also considered one of Bill Clinton’s signature achievements.

University of Minnesota sociologist Joe Soss spent a decade studying how those reforms shook out in the real world. With Richard C. Fording and Sanford F. Schram, he co-wrote the book, Disciplining the Poor: Neoliberal Paternalism and the Persistent Power of Race, explaining how race became a determining factor in how states created their own welfare programs — and how that ultimately led to a system that’s rife with racial bias.

  5. Black America, Brown America, & the Clintons

    http://www.rippdemup.com/politics/black-america-brown-america-the-clintons/

For the life of me, I do not understand Hillary Clinton’s popularity with African-Americans and Latin@s. Her positions (which apparently change according to the dictates of focus groups) and her husband’s presidency was, when you examine the numbers, not very good for us. Let us put aside the bullshit concerns regarding “realism” and “electability” aside for just one moment and look at the hard facts:

Under the Clinton justice department, the black incarcerated population rose by more than 250,000. The Clinton years marked the greatest growth in black incarceration in U.S. History — discounting slavery. It was the war on the drugs, initiated by Nixon and put on steroids during the Reagan administration, which ignited the flame. Under the Clintons, it became a full-on raging forest fire. The devastating impact of that on black families today, and on the economic viability of the black community in 2016 cannot be overstated.

At a time when we needed a so-called progressive to stand up to the racist stereotypes fueling America’s insatiable hunger to jail black and brown people, the Clintons instead capitulated and used the backs of Blacks and Latin@s to advance their political careers. Remember the coming of the black “superpredator”? The Central Park Five? The looming “epidemic of crack babies” born of sexually promiscuous black and Latin@ women giving birth to litters of future cop killers? You might think I am exaggerating, but these were the tropes that were used to step up efforts to incarcerate a whole generation of Black and Latin@ youth. The Clintons, confronted with an opportunity to stand on progressive principles, instead threw our people under the bus.

The federal welfare reform bill, The Personal responsibility and work Opportunity act, worked out between Bill Clinton and conservatives in Congress in 1996, has also left major lingering damage. A number of experts agree it has left “a gaping hole in the safety net for poor folks.” While the number of people in poverty fell by 6.4 million under Clinton, welfare reform led to a big spike in extreme poverty. In fact, some research shows (here) that the effects can be measured in lives lost.

In 1995, about 70 percent of poor families with children got cash assistance. By 2010, fewer than 30 percent did. And with federal entitlements gone, eligibility requirements in many states were tightened significantly. Only 11 percent of poor blacks lived in states with the least stringent programs. 63 percent were in areas with the toughest eligibility requirements.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bb9mIxzcxk

The irony here being that, truth being stranger than fiction, her husband’s policies might have the unintended effect of her candidacy as we in Black and Latin@ communities forget the roots of modern day racialized social control and stand with a woman who advocated for the policies that helped create our situation.

  6. Love the article. Since you’re out there with a little truth, I thought you might like to share this truth too. The latest attack is that Sanders faked his civil rights involvement. Hillary slams Obama for ‘stupid’ foreign policies

    http://nypost.com/2014/08/10/obamas-plan-to-stop-isis-panned-by-both-sides-of-aisle/

WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton blasts President Obama’s foreign policy in an interview published Sunday, saying her former boss’ failure to have a clear strategy for the Middle East has spawned the current Islamic State crisis in Iraq.

“Great nations need organizing principles, and ‘Don’t do stupid stuff’ is not an organizing principle,” said Clinton, who was Obama’s first secretary of state and who is said to be mulling a run for the White House.

She was responding to a question about one of the administration’s infamous catchphrases — “Don’t do stupid s- -t” — which Obama staffers reportedly use privately to describe their foreign policy.

In the interview with Jeffrey Goldberg for The Atlantic, Clinton distanced herself from her former boss and that philosophy.

Clinton’s slam comes at a time when Obama’s popularity has bottomed at 40 percent and his foreign policy is under fire from members of both parties amid a proliferation of crises overseas.

In particular, she trashed the administration’s “failure” to arm Syrian rebels in the early phase of their uprising against President Bashar al-Assad — a policy she says she tried to change.

“The failure to help build up a credible fighting force of the people who were the originators of the protests against Assad — there were Islamists, there were secularists, there was everything in the middle — the failure to do that left a big vacuum, which the jihadists have now filled,” Clinton said.

The former first lady gave the interview early last week, just as the administration was mobilizing to take on the Islamic State, which has seized a huge swath of terrain in Syria and Iraq.

During Obama’s first term, Clinton backed a more aggressive posture to help Syrian rebels. The administration held back airstrikes and avoided intervention in part out of concern that terror-linked groups might benefit.

Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), the most powerful African-American in Congress, recalls a 2am phone call he received from Bill Clinton after Barack Obama defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2008 South Carolina primary.

Clyburn stayed neutral in the primary, however Bill Clinton didn’t think so.

“If you bastards want a fight, you damn well will get one,” Clinton said according to Clyburn.

“He was very upset,” Clyburn recalled. “His wife had just suffered a major defeat in the South Carolina primary, and I had not been involved in it, but Bill Clinton thought otherwise.”

There’s a ‘Special Place in Hell’ for Madeleine Albright. Here’s Why
    Nathan Wellman | February 6, 2016

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright is making headlines today after her appearance at a Hillary Clinton rally. Standing beside a laughing Clinton, she said “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other.”

What isn’t making headlines is the irony of someone who was responsible for the deaths of 2,000 civilians, including 88 children, pretending to have any moral judgement whatsoever.

Albright was one of the leading proponents of NATO’s bombing of Serbia in 1999, so much so that many referred to the operation as “Madeleine’s War.”

Years before George Bush declared war on terror without the approval of Congress, Albright and her Clinton administration allies were using phrases like “war on terror” and “humanitarian intervention” to justify bombing Serbia. NATO had never before used military force without the approval of the UN Security Council, and it was the first attack against a sovereign nation that did not pose a threat to any other nation in the UN.

Albright’s airstrikes destroyed more than 300 schools and libraries, and over 20 hospitals.

“Why? Why civilians?” lamented airstrike survivor Dragan Ciric. “It still torments me. If the first rocket was a mistake, what were the next three for?”

Much of the country is in rubble to this day, still reeling from the billions of US dollars in damages that the country has no way to recover from.

Many former top Clinton officials swooped into war-torn Serbia and secured millions of dollars in contracts ironically designed to help “rebuild” Serbia and the new nation they helped to create, Kosovo.

As the New York Times put it, “So many former American officials have returned to Kosovo for business — in coal and telecommunications, or for lobbying and other lucrative government contracts — that it is hard to keep them from colliding.”

Albright’s company, Albright Capital Management, aggressively bid for Kosovo’s telecommunications company PTK — its most prosperous asset. While this purchase would have been worth upwards of $600 million for Albright, it was also discovered that her sister company, Albright Stonebridge Group, held shares in PTK’s only competition.

Critics busted Albright of trying to create a monopoly in Kosovo which would have destroyed all market competition in the fledgling nation. She was forced to quietly pull out of the sale, but she’s still managed to profit quite nicely from the shady business move. Her net worth is estimated to be upwards of $10 million.

I am supposed to have all this sympathy for the opioid abuse happening now with all these White kids?
Suddenly, the War on Drugs should be about Substance abuse and not criminalization?

    REALLY?

When crack ravaged Black communities, we were told to lock them up and throw away the key.

But now, we’re supposed to care that White folks are being ravaged by meth and opioid abuse?

MAYBE, if your come to Jesus moment had happened when we were on our FIRST generation of young Black men as fodder for the Prison Industrial Complex, I would care.

But, we are on our THIRD GENERATION….

AND THAT CAN BE LAID AT BILL CLINTON’S FEET.

I think that a lot of people are surprised by the level of NFTG from Black folks. We have Democratic candidates running around talking about how folks- meaning Non-Whites , need to understand the angst of the White middle-class. Read those pieces, and definitely check out the”reasoning’ behind the White angst. Then, I want you to Google Jesse Jackson speeches from the 1980’s, as he spoke of Urban decay, and its causes.
SHOW ME WHERE THERE IS ANY DIFFERENCE.
I will give you a hint:

    THERE IS NONE.

And thus the source of the lack of phucks to give.
We will tell you what you told Jesse in the 1980’s:
PULL YOURSELVES UP BY YOUR BOOTSTRAPS.

Gloria Steinem, feminist icon and Hillary Clinton supporter, says young women support Bernie Sanders to meet ‘boys’

BY RICH SCHAPIRO NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Updated: Saturday, February 6, 2016, 7:55 PM

“When you’re young, you’re thinking, ‘Where are the boys?’ The boys are with Bernie,” Gloria Steinem added.

Feminist icon Gloria Steinem says young women are supporting Democratic presidential wannabe Bernie Sanders for only one reason — to meet boys.

The outspoken Hillary Clinton supporter made the eyebrow-raising remark in a Friday night appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

Asked why the former secretary of state isn’t doing better among young women, Steinem said females typically don’t start taking politics seriously until they get older.

“When you’re young, you’re thinking, ‘Where are the boys?’ The boys are with Bernie,” Steinem added.

“Now if I said that — ‘Yeah, they’re for Bernie ’cause that’s where the boys are’ — you’d swat me,” Maher said.

“No, I wouldn’t,” Steinem fired back.

In the Iowa caucuses last week, women age 29 and younger voted for Sanders by a margin of roughly 6 to 1, according to exit polls.

Sanders is also winning the support of a majority of young women in New Hampshire, the site of the nation’s second nominating contest on Tuesday.

Clinton, meanwhile, is dominating among older women.

Democracy Now! Confronts Madeline Albright on the Iraq Sanctions: Was It Worth The Price?
    JULY 30, 2004

In May of 1996, 60 Minutes aired an interview with Madeline Albright, who at the time was Clinton”s UN Ambassador. Correspondent Leslie Stahl said to Albright, “We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And — and you know, is the price worth it?” Democracy Now bumped into Albright yesterday and asked for her response.

This week here in Boston, much of the focus of discussion among the delegates on the floor has centered around opposition to the invasion and occupation of Iraq. And while the sentiments among the delegates are overwhelmingly anti-war and anti-occupation, that has not been reflected from the speakers podium. In fact, both John Kerry and John Edwards gave speeches that could be characterized as prowar. And while the democratic base is antiwar, that has not been the record of John Kerry during this campaign. In fact Kerry began his bid for the presidency running as a pro-war candidate. It was only after Howard Dean tapped into the antiwar sentiment that Kerry began adopting antiwar rhetoric.

Some veteran Iraq observers say that it was the Clinton administration that set the tone for the Bush administration”s invasion of Iraq. It was Clinton who began the most sustained bombing campaign since Vietnam, when, in 1998, he began almost daily attacks on Iraq in the so-called no-fly zones. And in 1998, Clinton”s administration made so-called regime change in Iraq official US policy.

During his presidency, Bill Clinton presided over the most devastating regime of economic sanctions in history that the UN estimated took the lives of as many as a million Iraqis, the vast majority of them children. In May of 1996, 60 Minutes aired an interview with Madeline Albright, who at the time was Clinton”s UN Ambassador. Correspondent Leslie Stahl said to Albright, “We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that”s more children than died in Hiroshima. And — and you know, is the price worth it?”

Madeline Albright replied “I think this is a very hard choice, but the price — we think the price is worth it.” Last night as people filed out of the convention after John Kerry”s speech, we spotted Madeline Albright.

    In 2004…

AMY GOODMAN: Secretary Albright—the question I have always wanted to ask’ do you regret having said, when asked do you think the price was worth it—

MADELINE ALBRIGHT: I have said 5,000 times that I regret it. It was a stupid statement. I never should have made it and if everybody else that has ever made a statement they regret, would stand up, there would be a lot of people standing. I have many, many times said it and I wish that people would report that I have said it. I wrote it in my book that it was a stupid statement.

AMY GOODMAN: Do you think it laid the ground work for later being able to target Iraq and make it more acceptable on the part of the Bush administration?

MADELINE ALBRIGHT: What? You’ve got to be kidding.

AMY GOODMAN: The sanctions against Iraq.

MADELINE ALBRIGHT: The sanctions against Iraq were put on because Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait. But there never were sanctions against food and medicine. And you people need to know there never were sanctions against food and medicine and I was responsible for getting food in there and getting Saddam Hussein to pump oil.

    • Liza says:

In 1996, Madeline Albright believed that Bill Clinton’s devastating sanctions on Iraq that killed at least half a million children were “worth the price.” She has since tried to walk back that statement. Yet, she speaks of others having a special place in hell and for what? Not supporting Hillary Clinton?

The Rwanda Genocide: How Does Madeleine Albright Live with Herself?

a member of the OAU panel that did the report. He is the former Canadian ambassador to the U.N. and a former UNICEF official. He joins from Winnipeg, Canada.

    JOSEPH MUTABOBA
Rwanda’s ambassador to the United Nations.

    DAVID SCHEFFER
the U.S. ambassador-at-large for war crimes, joining us from the State Department in Washington, D.C.…

AMY GOODMAN: You are listening to Pacifica Radio’s Democracy Now! I’m Amy Goodman.

An independent panel commissioned by the Organization of African Unity charged this weekend that the United States, France and Belgium, as well as the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches, turned a blind eye to the mass killing of as many as 800,000 Rwandans in 1994. It concluded that the three governments should provide “a significant level of reparations” to the Central African country.

The 318-page report challenged President Clinton’s claim that the United States’ failure to act in Rwanda was due to ignorance of the extent of the atrocities unfolding there. And it accuses Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who represented the United States in the U.N. Security Council at the time, of using “stalling tactics” to prevent a military rescue mission. State Department spokesperson Richard Boucher responded to the report by saying that Clinton and Albright have already voiced contrition for U.S. inaction. He declined to comment on the call for reparations.

    • Liza says:

When I first heard this absolutely ludicrous remark that Madeline Albright made about “a special place in hell” for women who do not support other women, I was immediately reminded of Rwanda. Perhaps Ms. Albright does have some issues with her memory, but if I were her, I wouldn’t be talking about other folks having a special place in hell.

And Cory Booker, shame on you for smiling at that twisted, horrible, pathetic attempt at a joke.
