    Hillary has a real nerve!

She who has spent the last 8 years insulting, mocking and stabbing the President in the back – and coordinating with her husband and flunkies to undermine and blunt the President’s accomplishments – and trying to steal his accomplishments as hers…

A woman so callous that even after she was giving a role she was ill qualified for – one that has significantly boosted her resume even when she was the most mediocre in modern history…continued to begrudge and resent and sneakily undermine the President who hired her and tried to rehabilitate her and her husband’s image after the 2008 elections…

A woman so unkind, vindictive, desperately entitled and conniving – who may conveniently name-drop the President today to advance her political aspirations, but who is so transparently full of shit…

The fact that there is no real relationship between this woman and her first Democratic successor – the historic first black First Lady – and the wife of the President she now tries to wrap herself around to win an election…The fact that there is that glaringly cold and awkwardly marginal acquaintance…tells me everything I need to know…

President Obama may support this candidate out of duty to Party…he might even get FLOTUS to play along…But I know what my lying eyes and ears have seen and heard these past 8 years…and not even FLOTUS acquiescing to POTUS’ to rally and close ranks for this undeserving candidate whose only motivation to the presidency is entirely self-serving, will move me…

    • eliihass says:

To hear her tell it, you’d never believe the President has a V.P who was the Chairman of the Foreign Relations committee in the Senate – and oodles of Defense and National Security Advisers whose counsel the President values and prioritized those over that of the woman that was given the SoS position as a compromise deal, and who spent the vast majority of her time in that role, competing and undermining the President – delighting in his mishaps and the low moments in his presidency – and encouraging her staff and friends to do the same…

Yep, she’ll hang on to President Obama’s COATTAIL, take credit for making all those tough decision in his administration, before she ducked out to run for POTUS, but will let go and stab him in the back at every turn, when she feels or thinks it SERVES HER

PBO’s a MAN, a good man, not flawless, but smart, savvy, deliberate, and has a kind heart and a consience. I’m not worred about his legacy, and seriouly, I don’t think he is either.

The majority of Americans will notice the difference, once he leaves the House. It will be intensely PALPABLE. I sincerely believe that if the Clintons get back in the WH, they will do everthing in their power to co-opt, erase ,PBO, and his family, but they will FAIL.

The Obamas will leave INDELIBLE FOOTPRINTS, not only in America, but the entire world.

      • Ametia says:

I’m going to keep saying this, OVER & OVER.

I will speak, lend my voice to the process as much and as OFTEN as I want, and there is not a damn thing anyone can say or do to shut me up or change my mind.

We survived the Bush years and all the POTUSs prior to PBO, and whomever comes in after him, I’ll survive them too.

I will not be harrassed, cajoled, threatened, bullied into voting for ANYONE.

        • eliihass says:

          You and me both.

The days of trying to scare us into submission are over…

I have no more illusions when the first black First Lady of these United States even as she lives in the White House, is still as vulnerable, threatened, and still very much subjected to the very same disrespect, insults, attacks, dehumanization and worse – as any other black woman in America…

Not even living in the White House has exempted our first black First Lady from the non-stop sting of racism – even from the likes of the Clintons and their vile and malicious foot soldiers…

Ametia, Rikyrah, Liza, Eliihass help me out here. We’ll do another thread on this. I want your input.

      • eliihass says:

It may be a generational thing—I was born in 1967—but this is what Hillary and Bill Clinton will always mean to me: Sister Souljah, Ricky Ray Rector, welfare reform, and the crime bill. And beyond—really, behind—all that, the desperate desire to win over white voters by declaring to the American electorate: We are not the Party of Jesse Jackson, we are not the Rainbow Coalition.

Many of the liberal journalists who are supporting Hillary Clinton’s candidacy are too young to remember what the Clintons did to American politics and the Democratic Party in the 1990s. But even journalists who are old enough seem to have forgotten just how much the Clintons’ national ascendancy was premised on the repudiation of black voters and black interests. This was a move that was both inspired and applauded by a small but influential group of Beltway journalists and party strategists, who believed making the Democrats a white middle-class party was the only path back to the White House after wandering for 12 years in the Republican wilderness.

But for me, it’s as vivid as yesterday. I still remember Clinton pollster Stanley Greenberg’s American Prospect article (reposted in 2005), which claimed that the Democrats were “too identified with minorities and special interests to speak for average Americans.” Black people not being average Americans, you see. This article, American Prospect co-editor Paul Starr proudly proclaimed last year, is “widely recognized for its influence on Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign” in 1992. Starr, incidentally, just penned a defense in Politico of Hillary Clinton as the only serious Democratic candidate.

Or the fact that in their 1992 book, “Putting People First,” Bill Clinton and Al Gore only mentioned race once. And that was to oppose the idea of racial quotas.

Or the fact that their chapter on civil rights was mostly about people with disabilities.

Or the fact that Clinton’s real target in his Sister Souljah speech was Jesse Jackson, who was blind-sided and humiliated by Clinton’s tirade as he sat next to Clinton on the dais. (So embedded in the Clinton psyche is this Jesse Jackson boogeyman that Bill couldn’t resist calling it up in 2008, when Hillary was tanking in South Carolina. And why not? It had worked in 1992.)

Or the fact, which Frymer doesn’t mention in his book, that Hillary Clinton in 1996 resorted to the worst sort of animal imagery to describe teenage criminals:

They are not just gangs of kids anymore. They are often the kinds of kids that are called ‘super-predators.’ No conscience, no empathy. We can talk about why they ended up that way but first we have to bring them to heel.

As one wag said on Facebook the other night—in response to the question “Bring them to heel? Who says that shit out loud?”—“Dog trainers.”

What’s more, white people got the message: According to polls, white voters were more familiar with Clinton’s attack on Sister Souljah than they were with his economic plan. So did black people: Though they voted for Clinton, their share of the total voter turnout fell by 20 percent from 1988, when they cast their ballots for Michael Dukakis (and accounted for 20 percent of the vote for him and 10 percent of total turnout), and 1992, when they cast their ballots for Clinton (and accounted for 15 percent of the vote for him and 8 percent of total turnout).

Declassified U.S. documents show the Clinton administration refused to label the 1994 mass killings in Rwanda as a genocide. One State Department document read: “Be careful … Genocide finding could commit U.S.G. to actually ‘do something.'” At a press briefing in 1994, Reuters correspondent Alan Elsner asked: “How many acts of genocide does it take to make genocide?” State Department spokesperson Christine Shelley responded, “Alan, that’s just not a question that I’m in a position to answer.” Samantha Power, who is now the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, described the U.S. inaction in her 2001 article, “Bystanders to Genocide.” She wrote, “The United States did much more than fail to send troops. It led a successful effort to remove most of the UN peacekeepers who were already in Rwanda. It aggressively worked to block the subsequent authorization of UN reinforcements.”

Hillary slams Obama for ‘stupid’ foreign policies

    http://nypost.com/2014/08/10/obamas-plan-to-stop-isis-panned-by-both-sides-of-aisle/

WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton blasts President Obama’s foreign policy in an interview published Sunday, saying her former boss’ failure to have a clear strategy for the Middle East has spawned the current Islamic State crisis in Iraq.

“Great nations need organizing principles, and ‘Don’t do stupid stuff’ is not an organizing principle,” said Clinton, who was Obama’s first secretary of state and who is said to be mulling a run for the White House.

She was responding to a question about one of the administration’s infamous catchphrases — “Don’t do stupid s- -t” — which Obama staffers reportedly use privately to describe their foreign policy.

In the interview with Jeffrey Goldberg for The Atlantic, Clinton distanced herself from her former boss and that philosophy.

Clinton’s slam comes at a time when Obama’s popularity has bottomed at 40 percent and his foreign policy is under fire from members of both parties amid a proliferation of crises overseas.

In particular, she trashed the administration’s “failure” to arm Syrian rebels in the early phase of their uprising against President Bashar al-Assad — a policy she says she tried to change.

“The failure to help build up a credible fighting force of the people who were the originators of the protests against Assad — there were Islamists, there were secularists, there was everything in the middle — the failure to do that left a big vacuum, which the jihadists have now filled,” Clinton said.

The former first lady gave the interview early last week, just as the administration was mobilizing to take on the Islamic State, which has seized a huge swath of terrain in Syria and Iraq.

During Obama’s first term, Clinton backed a more aggressive posture to help Syrian rebels. The administration held back airstrikes and avoided intervention in part out of concern that terror-linked groups might benefit.

Now, CFED has announced a new partnership with JPMorgan Chase & Co. to bring asset building initiatives to multiple cities across the country, starting with New Orleans and Miami this spring.

The idea, here, is that JPMorgan Chase will invest $2 million dollars in developing leadership in local nonprofit organizations, in order to address racial and financial equity issues.

Rubio eyes brokered convention after NH setback
    By STEVE PEOPLES
    Feb. 11, 2016 2:03 PM EST

OKATIE, S.C. (AP) — The best hope of the Republican establishment just a week ago, Marco Rubio suddenly faces a path to his party’s presidential nomination that could require a brokered national convention.

That’s according to Rubio and his senior team, who told The Associated Press that the Republican nomination fight will likely go on for another three months, if not longer. It’s a worst-case scenario for the Florida senator and many Republican officials alike who hoped to avoid a prolonged and painful nomination fight in 2016.

But after a disappointing fifth-place finish in New Hampshire, a long delegate slog to the party’s July presidential nominating convention may be the only chance Rubio has left.

“I don’t think it necessarily is negative,” Rubio said Thursday when asked about the possibility of a so-called brokered, or contested, convention. He cited the Democratic Party’s 2008 clash between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama that went deep into the primary season.

Fox News Settles in for a Long Campaign With Donald Trump, a Candidate Who Proves the Network Has Lost Its Power

    By Gabriel Sherman

With his decisive win in New Hampshire, Donald Trump dashed the GOP Establishment’s hope that skipping last month’s Fox News debate would sink his campaign. By claiming more than a third of the New Hampshire vote, Trump not only exceeded expectations and more than doubled the vote tally of any of his rivals — but also demonstrated that disregarding Fox News doesn’t spell political ruin for a Republican. The grip that Rupert Murdoch, Roger Ailes, and Co. have held on the GOP for nearly a generation got a little looser Tuesday night.

Inside Fox there is confusion about what role the network should play in this altered media ecosystem going forward. According to three insiders I spoke to, the channel’s hosts and producers are split over how to cover Trump. Historically, in moments like this, the strategy would be clear: Punish the person who publicly crosses Fox. But network boss Ailes has tried that, and Trump not only survived the PR assaults, including one last month, but he seems to have emerged stronger than ever. The situation is even more dire because Marco Rubio, a favorite of many high-profile voices at the network, fared badly in the New Hampshire primary, only a few days after political analysts were floating the possibility that he might even beat Trump. Tuesday night, Fox’s pundit class had to accept that his robotic performance during ABC’s debate may have destroyed his candidacy. Charles Krauthammer even compared it to Ed Muskie’s 1972 implosion.

IF BEYONCÉ HAS GONE FULL BLACK, I’M HERE FOR IT.
    Panama Jackson, 2/9/16

Based on the events of the past weekend related to Beyoncé, it’s entirely possible that she’s trolling America, all of it.
Beyoncé dropped the video for the song “Formation” on Saturday, converting (my) Facebook into a de facto Beyoncé fan site. “Formation” is an unapologetically black- and Southern-ass song and video. The words to the song (as has been covered here) invoke the nostrils of the Jackson 5, baby hair and Afros, Red Lobster, and hot sauce in a purse, which I think we can all agree is about as black a list of things to mention in one song as possible. The video includes braids, slave imagery, New Orleans underwater after Katrina, Beyoncé sinking a police car and graffiti that says “Stop Shooting Us” as police throw their arms up.
It’s impossible to triple down on this blackness, right?
    Wrong.
Her Super Bowl 50 performance included black fists, Black Panther berets, multiple on-air mentions of the word “Negro” and an X formation that I’m guessing was a dedication to Malcolm. Then she announced a 40-city Formation World Tour and launched an initiative to help with the water crisis in Flint, Mich., which is absolutely going through the shit right now. If nobody goes to prison, it will be an even more significant miscarriage of justice than has already occurred.

Report: The Trump Campaign Is Tearing Apart Fox News

NY Mag Highlights Fox’s “Confusion” About Trump Coverage And Its Role in 2016 Elections

    February 10, 2016 11:15 AM EST
    DAYANITA RAMESH

New York magazine’s Gabriel Sherman highlighted the “confusion” at Fox News about the network’s role in the “altered media ecosystem going forward,” in particular over the coverage of GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

Trump has been a regular fixture on Fox News since 2011, which paved the way for his presidential run. The relationship between Trump and Fox became tumultuous following Fox’s first GOP primary debate in August 2015, during which moderator Megyn Kelly questioned Trump about his history of sexism. Yet, Fox continued to give Trump more than double the airtime of any other candidate. Trump ultimately skipped Fox’s second primary debate in January after the network released a mocking statement in response to his demand that Kelly be removed as a moderator. Fox chairman Roger Ailes and network personalities have since struggled with their coverage of Trump.

A February 9 article from New York magazine’s Gabriel Sherman highlighted the internal “confusion about what role” Fox News “should play in this altered media ecosystem going forward.” Sherman argued, “Historically, in moments like this the strategy would be clear: Punish the person who publicly crosses Fox.” But as Sherman pointed out, “network boss Ailes has tried that” and Trump has “demonstrated that disregarding Fox News doesn’t spell political ruin for a Republican.” Sherman also highlighted how the Trump-Kelly spar has now forced Ailes to “broker peace between Fox’s biggest stars, Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly”:

the key part of this for me is
” It’s possibly a sign that Murdoch wants to keep Kelly in the fold that last week his book publisher HarperCollins signed her to a reported $10 million book deal.

5 REASONS MAURICE WHITE STAYED WINNIN’
    Dhiraj Naseen, 2/10/16

By now you’ve heard that musical impresario Maurice White, 74, has gone on to the great “Boogie Wonderland” in the sky. Damn, damn, damn—I’ve been breaking crystal punch bowls all week!

White was the iconic co-founder of Earth, Wind & Fire, the premier live funk band for, like, 89 summers. And if you’re over 30, he was the ’70s soul gawd who masterminded the beats playing in the background when your daddy successfully laid his mack down to obtain your mom’s digits—leading to your eventual conception. By my calculations, that makes him your play uncle!
I grew up with the type of parents who didn’t believe that good music was made after the Carter administration. So even though I wasn’t alive at any point in the ’70s, EWF and Maurice White were musical fixtures in my early childhood. Parkinson’s disease largely diminished his stage presence in later years, but White was a bad momofoku in his prime. Here are five reasons Maurice White stayed winnin’ for, like, two decades.

Rocked a pushback Afro and didn’t care.

It says plainly in the Bible (check the index!) that an acceptable Afro shall be perfectly symmetrical, with equal proportions of sheen, billow and rotundancy. Enter Maurice White. It wasn’t that his ’fro lacked domage or appropriate billow. But his hairline was pushed way back. As a child, I was super confused about this. (Internal dialogue in 1984: “Why is that one guy so much older than the other guys? He looks young, but he’s got that George Jefferson hairline. I dunno, time for a glass of juice.”)

As an adult, however, I figured out that this was just his hairline and you had to deal with it. And you know what? It totally worked for him! Like the banged Afro of the Ohio Players’ Sugarfoot, White’s throwback hairline Afro just came to suit him. Could you imagine him with anything else? White said fuck a Bigen and we loved him for it!

Pray tell…when did Hillary Clinton ever tackle racism…? When..? These people think just saying random stuff with a straight face makes it so…

Trayvon Martin was murdered in 2012…and it took until Hillary started running for president in 2015 and needed a black firewall, for her to be concerned or care to commiserate with his mother…But she found time to give paid speeches to Wall Street fat cats…

Neither her husband the former president who’s always quick with unsolicited opinion, had anything to say about Trayvon or any of the innocent black kids murdered…Sandra Bland wasn’t a feminist so Chelsea had no opinion…even as she continues to work hard to ensure that her friendship with Ivanka Trump is protected and survives their parents political contest…

  31. eliihass says:

    Here’s then Senator Obama campaigning for Bernie Sanders in 2006;

I see nothing different from what President Obama was saying he and Bernie believed back then that’s any different from what Bernie is still advocating and arguing for today…

It’s not only ridiculous and amusing, the idea that the same people who feign outrage at the slightest of Bernie Sanders words…effusively defend and support the treacherous Clintons who have in fact said and done infinitely worse – not just to the President, but to his wife our First Lady..

Even the the most hateful PUMAs who endlessly maligned and undermined the Obamas are feigning outrage and disgust at Bernie Sanders’ supposed distancing from the President…

The whole thing is so glaringly disingenuous ..

    Don’t be fooled black folks..

    • Ametia says:

Oh to have been a FLY on the wall at the White House, when Sanders met with President Obama, eh?

      • eliihass says:

Deep down the President knows – and V.P Biden knows that Hillary and her husband are no good..That they are not deserving of inhabiting that White House again..

I fear that by the time this is all over, a lot of damage would have been done by all these resurrected sleaze-bags – not just to the new Democratic party The Obamas so painstakingly built – and sacrificed so much for…But to the overall psyche of the many previously removed citizens the Obamas attracted to the Democratic party and process …

If the Clintons, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and the Dem hierarchy succeed in pulling of this most undemocratic dirty shenanigan, they will have set back the party for another generation…it will be hard to convince millennials to believe in the process, least of all, the politicians that’ll need them to vote for them in the future..

    STILL SLAVES, the LOT-OF-THEM

  34. eliihass says:

Does anyone recall any time the CBC came out and effusively talked up the black President and his policies – or defend the black First Lady all these years as they were obstructed, undermined, viciously maligned and dehumanized..?

Does anyone recall the CBC rallying voters during the midterm elections of 2010 or 2014 to help build a firewall for the Presidents initiatives..?

But here you have them today standing in line in their sunday best and wide smiles, each cheesing and testifying harder and louder than the one before, trying to prove their loyalty to Hillary…

      • eliihass says:

Look at them Rikyrah…Not once did they speak up about the disrespect and dehumanization of the black President and First Lady..

But they call a press conference to line up to praise and endorse Hillary and effusively defend her against the evil, evil Bernie …They are offended that Bernie has the nerve to challenge their leader Hillary Clinton …

And not one of them spoke up these past 8 years as the historic black President was obstructed and he and his wife, the historic black First Lady, were continuously disrespected and dehumanized…And not a peep from this bunch of shameless losers…

  35. eliihass says:

    Ugh…

John Kasich is the phoniest and corniest with his fake modesty and fake happy warrior schtick..

Well, if the Democratic leadership wants to hand pick the candidate and ram her down our throats, maybe they should stop asking for money from the ranks and volunteers to phone bank, canvass, etc.. Maybe they should just do it all themselves.

My head hurts from thinking about this. What a terrible mistake they have made.

        • eliihass says:

Exactly! If I get one more email solicitation from the DNC, DSCC, DWS etc…I’ll scream…

But Ayanna Pressley was worse…On Chris Hayes show 2 days ago, she actually agreed with Hillary that some black kids needed to be brought to heel…She used the same words too..

You know her new husband got hooked up with a job with the Boston Mayor Marty Walsh…the same one who boasted about invading New Hampshire with 1000 volunteers knocking on doors for Hillary…

Doesn’t look like that worked out well for them…

Anyhow, Ayanna is cooning hard to keep the political gravy train going…

I think at some point black folks have to really start re-thinking the support they give some of these flimsy folks who ride the ‘only black’ train and hound the black community for votes and support – yet spend all their time using that position to support and benefit Hillary and Hillary and Establishment type coronations…And never seem to have time to speak out or do anything for oppressed and downtrodden black folks…

I’m still looking at you Cory Booker, Kamala Harris and Ayanna Pressley…Not one of these currently ‘only black’ elected officials have justified the support of black folks in their mostly cowardly – or entirely MIA – performance since taking office…

Black voters only seem to be good for votes and nothing more… then subsequently thrown under the bus..

    Thomas Jefferson mourned his wife.

Tour Guides at Monticello Now Offer Hemings Family Tour

    ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va (WVIR) –

Tour guides at Monticello are revealing more of the story behind Thomas Jefferson’s enslaved workers during Black History Month.

Monticello now offers a Hemings Family Tour, which tells the story of the plantation’s enslaved workers.

Visitors on the tour are able to follow the footsteps of Sally Hemings and her family through the kitchens, tunnels, and even up a hidden staircase normally closed to the public.

Tour groups normally begin at the main entrance, but the Hemings family tour follows the path the enslaved workers would have taken into the home.

Historians say Hemings and Jefferson had six children together. Many researchers believe that Hemings and Thomas Jefferson’s wife were even half-sisters.

“Normally we don’t talk about Sally Hemings as, uh, use the term mistress, the term that was used at the time was to talk about her as a concubine,” said Gary Sandling, the vice president of visitor programs and visitor services.

On the tour guides share stories of horrible violence committed against the Hemings family.

As a teenager, Sally’s nephew Jamey Hemings was severely whipped three times for not showing up to work, even though he was very sick. When he recovered, he ran away and Jefferson gave an order to not pursue him.

“The Hemings family was an important family at Monticello, there were over 70 people in that family over 3 to 4 generations, so we’ve highlighted a few of those stories to tell because it really puts a human face on the people who lived and worked here,” said Sandling.

Sandling says that Monticello has acknowledged the relationship between Jefferson and Hemings for 17 years, but this is the first time it’s been highlighted with a tour.

FBI Arrests Cliven Bundy As Pressure Mounts On 4 Remaining Wildlife Refuge Occupiers
    Published February 11, 2016

The father of two men who were among the occupiers of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge and are now in jail, was himself arrested in Portland, Ore., Wednesday night.

Cliven Bundy, a Nevada rancher prominent in protests to end federal control of western lands, is being held in the Multnomah County Detention Center. His sons Ammon and Ryan were arrested Jan. 27 and are there as well.

Bundy had said earlier this week that he intended to travel to Oregon to support the four men still occupying a government building on the refuge.

On Wednesday at the refuge in southern Oregon, the FBI moved to further restrict the movement of the four militants and is actively negotiating with them, Oregon Public Broadcasting reports.

In the report talking about the Domestic Terrorists in Oregon, the reporter was like,

‘ They didn’t think it had to come to this. They thought that they would negotiate to go home…but, I guess that can’t happen since they were named in a federal indictment.’

YOU take over – WITH FIREARMS – FEDERAL BUILDING…
and, you think you should just be able to ‘ negotiate to go home.’

    really?

    seriously?

and, folks say that Black people are using WHITE PRIVILEGE for everything.

Never, in the history of America…

would an ARMED BLACK PERSON believe that any encounter with law enforcement…

    THAT THEY INITIATE….

would wind up with anything other than arrest…and, that’s the glass half full scenario.

    I’ll say it again….
