      These days extremely cynical and rather cautious about blindly cosigning anything about ‘women power’…especially as most of it is now being slyly – and even brazenly – appropriated (misappropriated) to singularly advance Hillary Clinton and her self-serving political ambitions and quest to be the first woman ..

      Until I hear people speak up for poor, oppressed women – especially of women color – black women…without a voice…and those who are temporarily given voice to be exploited for massa’s purposes…and that unceremoniously taken away when their services are terminated – as is often the case…and not that I exactly feel bad or empathize with them…

      Until I hear these pronouncements of ‘women power’ honestly encompass so much more than the white ‘feminist’ agenda – whatever that is at any given moment…I will pass on these hollow gestures that only serve to advance the dubious agenda of white ‘feminists’ …an agenda that has no care for – or has absolutely nothing to do with any of the stuff that really matters…the stuff that cuts down and kills black women….the stuff that black women constantly suffer from and are up against in a society that not only overlooks, disregards and devalues them – no matter how accomplished…but one that blatantly dehumanizes them, and in word and deed declares them unworthy and undeserving of love, respect, chivalry – and even their most basic rights – and their proud and rightful place in their marriage, in the family as wife and mother…and in society in general..

      Hey, SG2. I’ve been helping the guy who is installing laminate flooring in my family room. I’ve been cleaning the concrete floor and staining and putting polyurethane on moldings and “reducers”. Tomorrow I have to fix dry wall and paint. Oh, yeah, I also had to help move everything out of the room. I logged on to rest, I’m really tired. We’ll be done by Tuesday, hopefully.

      I’ve been reading you on Twitter.

    Republican blames Trump’s rise on Obama’s level-headedness

    If something bad happens, anywhere in the world, chances are pretty good that some creative Republicans will come up with a way to blame those developments on President Obama. It’s a skill the GOP has honed over the last seven years, and the party has become quite adept in this area.

    Naturally, then, it was sadly predictable that Republicans would even manage to blame Donald Trump’s rise on the rascally Democratic president. Obama, we’re now supposed to believe, is even responsible for the attitudes Republican primary and caucus voters have towards their own party’s candidates.

    The argument has been slowly percolating in GOP media circles in recent weeks, touted by the New York Times’ Ross Douthat and the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal, among others. Blaming the radicalization of Republican politics is hard; blaming the president they hold in contempt is easy; so many on the right are naturally gravitating towards the latter.

    But leave it to Bobby Jindal – a failed presidential candidate, a prominent Marco Rubio supporter, and one of the worst and least effective governors in modern American history – to write an op-ed taking the argument to its silliest conclusion.
    Let’s be honest: There would be no Donald Trump, dominating the political scene today if it were not for President Obama.

    I believe that voters tend to act in open-seat presidential elections to correct for the perceived deficiencies of the incumbent…. After seven years of the cool, weak and endlessly nuanced “no drama Obama,” voters are looking for a strong leader who speaks in short, declarative sentences.
    At a certain level, picking on Bobby Jindal almost seems cruel. The man’s failures were so humiliating, his governing agenda bombed so catastrophically, his electoral defeats were so crushing, that he’s probably better left ignored – except to serve as a model to others as how not to be a competent public official.

    But this notion that Obama must be blamed for Trump will probably linger for a while, so Jindal’s debacles notwithstanding, let’s go ahead and note the most glaring flaws in the former governor’s argument.

    Harlem teacher with history of hurting kids busted for assaulting 7-year-old special needs student

    A teacher at a troubled Harlem elementary school with a long history of hurting kids has been arrested for his latest violent outburst, this time against a special-needs student, police allege.

    Osman Couey, 53, was busted on Tuesday and charged with assaulting a 7-year-old student at Public School 194.

    Cops said the young victim was kicked out of a classroom on Dec. 23 and started banging on the door to try to get back in. Couey then tossed the boy, Ka’veon Wilson, across a hallway, police said.

    The child is still traumatized, his grandmother, Verlynn Phinazee said. “He’s still scared of the dark. He still needs a nightlight in his room.”

    Virginia seventh-grader ordered to remove dreadlocks: ‘It’s a form of not being culturally aware,’ his dad claims

    A seventh-grade student at a private school in Virginia was told he must remove his dreadlocks — even though he has had them at the school since third grade.

    Isaiah Freeman, 13, was pulled out of West End Christian School in Hopewell by his frustrated father when officials threatened to discipline his son for the dreadlocks.

    The school said the hair was too long and was against school rules, but even when Isaiah pulled the dreadlocks back behind his head, officials would not bulge.

        Hi there, Southern. I hope your eye is better and gets all the way healed and whole! Are you drinking plenty of water and taking a natural Vitamin C among other things? Also are you eating blueberries and other eye helpful foods and maybe blending them? Not trying to interfere with your doctor’s care but maybe you could do this in addition .Also vitamins A and E. OK enough of my interfering mothering. Joe Biden is a very loyal and devoted friend to President Obama.

            The reason I can relate to your eye issues is because a few years back I was having, watery eyes, gummy in the morning eyes, sensitive to light eyes, swollen shut eyes and so on. What the eye doctor prescribed did get rid of an issue I had with infection but nothing lasted long So stated researching and doing blending of different eye helping foods. Blueberries, kale, watercress, dark cherries, carrots cucumbers pineapple, super greens, lemons, limes chia seed, flax seed and would blend them well with kefir or buttermilk or tart cherry juice or water. I would change it up with every batch I made. Now about two years later I promise I am having no eye trouble. Sometimes and occasional itch that may last a minute or two every two or three months but what an improvement! Hope I am helping you because I also had eyestrain from being on the computer too much so I wasn’t helping myself. Well I am still on the computer a lot but my eyes are fine. Praise the Lord!

            Thank you so much. It’s good to know. I will certainly try this. I’ve never had this much trouble with my eyes. It was getting to be embarrassing going into a store and it looks as if you’re crying. I got stopped by the cop in my area for a headlight out and when he came to the truck he asked “are you alright, are you crying”? He gave me a warning. But it was just awful having to constanly wipe my eye and then it made it sore. So I will try this and I love cherries and cucumbers so that is a plus
