How convenient that Hillary is focusing on black on black gun violence even as there’s no mention of the rampant cold blooded murders of innocent black folks at the hands of police…

She still obviously has her mind on those ‘super-predators’…and bringing them to heel…

  4. eliihass says:

Nothing funnier than hearing a woman who had no qualms ascribing to racism when it suited her purposes, suddenly get applause for saying that ‘we need to be talking more about how unfair racism is’…and how ‘white people like her should be part of having that conversation’…

This woman who just a few years ago was employing every vile racist tactic to smear and torpedo the historic black President..

    LOL..

Hillary lies too easily…She cannot help herself …and she will never change…

    She’s completely dishonest and untrustworthy..

She just told Rachel Maddow with a straight face that she immediately dropped out of the race in 2008 so as not to hurt then Senator Obama’s chances…and that she immediately got to work getting her supporters to support and vote for then Senator Obama…

    LOL…

You can’t make this stuff up…

Somebody please remind Hillary that she and her ‘friends’ and flunkies not only didn’t support really ever support then Senator Obama…

That even after the President graciously gave her the unearned and undeserved SoS position she now wields as evidence of her ‘qualifications’ and ‘closeness’ to the President, she and her PUMAs continued to undermine him…at Foggy Bottom… and outside it…So much so that even her black flunkies had to prove their loyalty to her by being extra hostile to the Obamas..

And don’t get me started on her friends and supporters like Anne-Marie Slaughter and Lynn de Rothschild…

“…Clinton voters overlook money lust, shadowy surrogates, sociopathic policy shifts, horrific overseas record. Why?

…As a lifelong Democrat who will be enthusiastically voting for Bernie Sanders in next week’s Pennsylvania primary, I have trouble understanding the fuzzy rosy filter through which Hillary fans see their champion. So much must be overlooked or discounted—from Hillary’s compulsive money-lust and her brazen indifference to normal rules to her conspiratorial use of shadowy surrogates and her sociopathic shape-shifting in policy positions for momentary expedience.

Hillary’s breathtaking lack of concrete achievements or even minimal initiatives over her long public career doesn’t faze her admirers a whit. They have a religious conviction of her essential goodness and blame her blank track record on diabolical sexist obstructionists. When at last week’s debate Hillary crassly blamed President Obama for the disastrous Libyan incursion that she had pushed him into, her acolytes hardly noticed. They don’t give a damn about international affairs—all that matters is transgender bathrooms and instant access to abortion…

Hillary’s road map to the Democratic nomination was written by “Tricky Dick” Nixon, who after his acrimonious defeat in the 1962 California gubernatorial race doggedly restored his standing in the GOP by doing the “rubber-chicken circuit,” building up the grass-roots connections that allowed him to win the White House six years later. Similarly, Hillary has spent the years since her 2008 loss to Obama in deepening and tightening her relationships with state and local Democratic politicians, community leaders, and urban ministers nationwide—for whom she has assets of infinite largesse.

When pro-Hillary media taunt Bernie Sanders about what his campaign has or has not financially contributed to lower-level Democratic races, they are foolishly exposing Hillary’s modus operandi. Nixon’s rubber chicken has turned into one mighty gilded bird…”

Fed-up GOP mega-donors sitting on their checkbooks
    04/24/16 10:30 AM EDT

Republican mega-donors, increasingly fed up with their party’s circus-like presidential primary, are sitting on their checkbooks until the nominee is decided.
    […]
Interviews with major Republican donors and fundraisers reveal that many are fed up after early enthusiasm for unsuccessful candidates. Many of these donors spent millions on the super-PACs supporting former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, former favorites who dropped out of the race after getting throttled by Donald Trump.
    […]
“I have been called and asked for money, and I said, ‘Once we pick a nominee, then I will give money again,’ ” said Minnesota billionaire Stanley Hubbard, who gave an early $50,000 donation to a pro-Scott Walker super-PAC but has made no significant investment since.

“The problem is that nobody prefers either of those two candidates [Trump or Cruz], and the third candidate [Kasich] no one thinks he has a chance, so why waste your money?” Hubbard told The Hill.

Doug Deason, a multimillionaire Texas businessman whose family spent $5 million supporting Rick Perry and has now thrown $200,000 behind a Cruz super-PAC, said the feeling among his donor friends goes beyond exhaustion.

He said many establishment donors believe their money has been wasted this cycle, with the only winners being the high-priced consultants who have gotten rich by charging commissions on ad buys.

Donors “are upset about how their money was spent and the bang they got for their buck. … They are suspicious, and rightfully so,” Deason told The Hill.
“Somebody should be indicted over Right to Rise,” he added, referring to the super-PAC that spent more than $100 million in a failed attempt to make Bush the Republican nominee.
“I would sue them for fraud.”

Cruz and Kasich hatch scheme as latest polls bolster Trump

    By Steve Benen
The conventional wisdom has shifted more than once about Donald Trump’s chances of locking up the Republican nomination before the party’s convention, but as things stand, his odds aren’t bad at all.

There are five primaries tomorrow, and Trump is well positioned in all of them, including a big lead in Pennsylvania, this week’s largest prize. Next week is Indiana’s primary, and two new polls show Trump ahead there, too. For good measure, the GOP frontrunner even has a sizable advantage in California, which has more delegates available than any other state.

The road ahead for Trump isn’t easy, but if these polls are correct, and he wins by sufficient margins, it’s hardly unrealistic to believe the New York developer will secure the necessary delegates by the time voting ends in early June. If Ted Cruz and John Kasich are going to prevent that outcome, they’re going to have to do something.

So, they’re doing something. NBC News reported:
The campaigns of Ted Cruz and John Kasich announced an agreement Sunday night to coordinate their efforts to prevent Donald Trump from winning the GOP’s presidential nomination before the Republican National Convention.

“To ensure that we nominate a Republican who can unify the Republican Party and win in November, our campaign will focus its time and resources in Indiana and in turn clear the path for Gov. Kasich to compete in Oregon and New Mexico,” Cruz’s campaign manager Jeff Roe said in a statement late Sunday.

The Kasich campaign sent its own statement minutes later.
For his part, Trump accused his rivals of “colluding” against him, which seems fair, given that his rivals really are “colluding” against him.

It’s not Obama’s — on ANY Black person’s — responsibility to end racism or “heal racial divisions”. White people created racism, so it’s their responsibility to end it.

Cleveland settles lawsuit over Tamir Rice shooting for $6M
    Apr. 25, 2016 9:38 AM EDT

CLEVELAND (AP) — The city has reached a $6 million settlement in a lawsuit over the death of Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old black boy shot by a white police officer while playing with a pellet gun outside a recreation center.

An order filed in U.S. District Court in Cleveland on Monday says the city will pay out $3 million this year and $3 million the next.

The wrongful death suit filed by his family and estate against the city and officers and dispatchers who were involved alleged police acted recklessly when they confronted the boy on Nov. 22, 2014.

Video of the encounter shows a cruiser skidding to a stop and rookie patrolman Timothy Loehmann firing within two seconds of opening the car door. Tamir wasn’t given first aid until about four minutes later, when an FBI agent trained as a paramedic arrived. The boy died the next day.

    • Liza says:

What a contradiction. Pay the family (an admission of guilt) but let the killers go free because they are cops. Well, I certainly agree that the family must be paid, but these wrongful death lawsuits are supposed to eventually lead to the admission that actual crimes are being committed.

    • The Rice family need the money but the cops need to held accountable for their crimes.

Grassley: FBI could leak Clinton email investigation
    Jason Noble, jnoble2@dmreg.com 11:38 a.m. CDT April 22, 2016

U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley suggested on Friday that the FBI might leak reports of its investigation into presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state.

Grassley, Iowa’s senior senator and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said an anonymous and unauthorized release of FBI investigative materials could result if officials at the agency believed prosecution of Clinton was stymied for political reasons.

“Is there going to be political interference? If there’s enough evidence to prosecute, will there be political interference?” Grassley wondered aloud during a breakfast meeting with the Des Moines A.M. Rotary club on Friday. “And if there’s political interference, then I assume that somebody in the FBI is going to leak these reports and it’s either going to have an effect politically or it’s going to lead to prosecution if there’s enough evidence.”

The senior senator’s musing came in response to a long answer to a very general question from one of the Rotarians about the status on inquiries into the email server and Clinton’s handling of the 2012 terrorist attack on a diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya.

Kerala mosque breaks 1,000-year-old tradition, opens its doors to women
    April 25, 2016 14:40 IST
For the first time in its history, the 1,000-year-old mosque at Thazhathangady in Kottayam, Kerala famous for its rich architecture and wood carvings, has thrown open its doors for Muslim women.

Women were allowed to enter the mosque on Sunday to take a look at its famed architecture.

Thousands of Muslim women, including tourists, flocked to the mosque from various parts of Kerala and abroad. The move comes at a time when the demand for permitting women at places of worship is gaining ground.

“This is a 1000-year-old mosque. Our women had not seen it so far and had a great desire to visit the holy place. So the mosque committee decided to allow women to visit it on April 24 and May 8,” Advocate Nawab Mulladom, president of the mosque committee said.

The mosque was not opened for “any celebrations or for offering prayers. It was only to allow women to see the place”, he said, adding the men were asked to leave the mosque before the women were allowed in.

Muslim women wore their traditional attire during the visit.

Joe Biden’s 2016 campaign: The Senate

The vice president has quietly embarked on a year-long legacy project to win back a Democratic majority.

    By Edward-Isaac Dovere

    04/25/16 05:30 AM EDT

PHILADELPHIA—Not long after putting a final pin in his presidential plans in the Rose Garden last October, Vice President Joe Biden started talking to staff about a different mission for 2016: helping put his beloved Senate back into Democratic hands.

Within weeks, incoming Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) was at the Naval Observatory for breakfast, talking over the details. Not long after, he returned with Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee chair Jon Tester (D-Mont.) for a 90-minute briefing on their top races.

Ted Cruz and John Kasich team up in deal to stop Donald Trump

The Ohio governor will give the Texan senator a free run in Indiana in exchange for the same favor in Oregon and New Mexico

Ted Cruz and John Kasich have announced that their campaigns will cede certain states in an attempt to keep Donald Trump from reaching the 1,237 delegates he needs to clinch the Republican nomination.

In a pair of coordinated statements released on Sunday night, the Cruz and Kasich campaigns said that the Texan senator would concentrate his resources in Indiana while the Ohio governor would put all his effort into Oregon and New Mexico.

Both have already stated that they expect there to be a contested convention in Cleveland in July and are already preparing for a second ballot.

However, for that scenario to come to pass, they first need to stop Trump. This apparent agreement seems to be an admission that only way to do so is for his opponents to finally cooperate against him. Under current rules, delegates are only bound by the results of their state’s primary or caucus for the first ballot. On any subsequent ballot, delegates are free to vote their conscience and, since delegate selection is often an entirely separate process from a primary, there is likely to be a significant shift in votes on a second ballot.
