      They are all Tories…

      There’s no difference in their basic outlook and perspectives …

      Theresa May might be a woman, but she’s no different from David Cameron and Boris Johnson…Like our own politicians – Democrats and Republicans alike – these party mates are only momentarily separated from each only when their egos are at war…and they are all vying for a single position – or have a difference of opinion regarding a particular stance like Brexit – the outcome of which will impact a specific vested interest …then and only then do they for a fleeting second part ways…but they soon reunite…

      This idea that because some of these racists are ‘friends’ with or ‘like’ President Obama that this means that they stop holding their intrinsic racist views, and suddenly become all-embracing and extend their ‘warmth’ and ‘benevolence’ to all black folks…that idea is not only laughable, but naive and very erroneous…

      Heck, the historic black First Lady isn’t even immune from or protected from racism right inside and within her own husband’s White House…or from within the President’s own staff and party ‘allies’ in the DNC, DCCC etc..

      We need to stop pretending not to notice…

      We need to clean up our own country and spaces…take the the boulder out of our eyes, before we start concerning ourselves with what’s happening in other countries…or looking to judge the questionable choices other countries are making…

    Yesterday, I published a post on what Black folks will take with us if we decided to make our exit (BLAXIT) from the United States. It was jumped off by Ulysses Burley III at The Salt Collective and basically, we are taking EVERYTHING awesome. Because we created/invented/brought them.

    My white readers realized that they will be left with emptiness, and their comments made me howl. Some negotiated, some hit their wall slide, and some insisted we bring them with us. My Asian and Latinx sisters replied too, because they will be on our side: because minority solidarity.

    Here are some of the conversations, from my comments and my Awesomely Luvvie Facebook Page.

    Melissa: Heavens, I think us white people are down to dried peas and smallpox.

    Josh: I’m just a white dude but I will miss most of this too much. Can I come along if I promise to be cool?

    f you haven’t already, I hope you’ll find some time to watch or read President Obama’s remarks at the memorial for the five slain officers in Dallas yesterday. I’ve spent some time this morning perusing what various pundits are saying about it. To give you some context, here are a few:

    Dallas Morning News Editors: “President Obama’s powerful speech was full of truth, pain and hope”

    Mike Barnicle: “In Dallas, Our President Meets the Moment”

    John Podhoretz: “How Obama ruined his Dallas memorial speech”

    Charles Hurt: “Obama tramples on high ideals of America, fuels Black Lives Matter racism”

    I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. That isn’t anything new to our politics today. People hear what they want to hear and their opinions are reinforced by news outlets that cater to the divide.

    That last article by Charles Hurt wasn’t simply about the President’s speech yesterday.

    Again and again and again, this president, who was so uniquely positioned with the credibility to do more than any president in history to quell the discord and unify America, has done the exact opposite.

    Instead of waiting for blind justice to work, he repeatedly jumps to prejudicial — and usually wrong — conclusions.

    Police are stupid; somebody looks like him; things were racially motivated; let’s go after guns. Every opportunity he has had to be the honest broker and reach for the great principles and high ideals that unite America, Mr. Obama has instead chosen partisan divisiveness.

    If he were a real man, if he were a leader or statesman or one ounce of the constitutional scholar he claims to be, Mr. Obama would have already hotly condemned and denounced the Black Lives Matter movement as the racist and anti-American thing that it is…

    Instead, Mr. Obama chickened out. He scrambled for the easy way out. Shirked his duties. He blew his moment to defend the constitution and stand with the likes of Martin Luther King Jr.

    Of course, that’s nothing new. We’ve been hearing that kind of nonsense for the last 7 years. But that critique has been mirrored on the left from people like Michael Eric Dyson, Tavis Smiley and Cornel West – who actually said that Obama was the first n*ggerized president.

    The National Review Nitpicks the President’s Dallas Speech
    He wasn’t just talking about access to guns.

    Over at the National Review, Charles C.W. Cooke says that President Obama was giving a pretty good speech at the memorial for fallen Dallas, Texas cops when he made a critical error. The president made the mistake of introducing divisive rhetoric into a solemn occasion when he asserted that it’s sometimes easier for kids to get access to a Glock than a computer or a book.

    Twenty minutes ago, almost everyone I know thought that the president was doing a good job with his address. Now, at least half of them are irritated and upset. On Twitter, a debate over books and Glocks has broken out. People are shouting at one another. Where there was harmony, now there is discord. This, remember, was a funeral — a funeral for one of the police officers who was murdered last Thursday. It wasn’t a rally. It wasn’t a White House press conference. It wasn’t a public statement, hastily arranged on the airport tarmac. It was a funeral. Presumably, those attending had all sorts of political opinions. Presumably, some of the cops were Republicans. Presumably, there was some serious disagreement in that room as to how the country should move forward. Wouldn’t it have been better to wait until the proceedings were over to call for change? Wouldn’t it have been more politically effective for the president to have made his push somewhere else?

    This is just another example of aggressively missing the point. I don’t know how easy it is for a twelve year old living in the North Philly ghetto to get access to a MacBook Pro, but it’s not an impossible task to find a firearm. But, who really cares about the absolute literal accuracy of the president’s comments?

    The Dallas shooter once bought an AK-47 for $600 from someone he met on Facebook. The sale took place in a Target parking lot. The seller is hoping that it’s not the weapon he used to kill and wound police officers, but that’s his personal business. The rest of us just know that you can go on Facebook and find a semiautomatic rifle in a few minutes, and there’s no regulation of these kinds of sales.

    We’re all supposedly endowed by our creator with the inalienable right to buy or sell highly lethal firearms, and then the police have to deal with the consequences.

    And even this wasn’t the whole point that the president was trying to make. He wasn’t just talking about the easy availability of guns. He was also talking about the lack of positive resources that we provide for our most vulnerable kids.

    To get back to Mr. Cooke’s objection, I have to ask what he’s really objecting to. Is he really quibbling that it’s a bit harder to buy a Glock than check out a book at the library?

        Mr Cooke couldn’t even get the basics right…it was not ‘a funeral for one of the police officers who was murdered last Thursday’..

        Once one gets the basic facts wrong, one must not be listened to…or allowed to write for any publication that expects to be taken seriously …

    I think The Field Negro is actually a little too polite about Roger L. Simon’s essay blaming Democrats for the deterioration in race relations in this country during the Obama Era.

    I just wonder if Mr. Simon is aware of the psychological projection involved in his conclusion.

    Just a few years later, the scab appeared very much healed with the inauguration of America’s first African-American president, a man who would be elected twice. I didn’t vote for him for policy reasons, but his election brought tears to my eyes as a former civil rights worker. America’s long nightmare, as Dr. King might have put it, was over, at least as over as things could be in this imperfect world.

    But it wasn’t – not by a long shot. It went the other way. Driven by what I call in my book “nostalgia for racism,” racial enmity was brought back as surely as Michael Corleone was pulled back in in Godfather III.

    Why?

    Power, of course. The Democratic Party relies on the perceived reality of racism for the identity politics on which it feeds. Racism is the lifeline of the Democrats. Votes lie there.

    I agree that the explanation for our curdled race relations lies in the quest for power, but not in the way that Simon says.

    It was certainly possible to treat President Obama the way that Morgan Freeman asked to be treated by 60 Minutes’ Mike Wallace, as a person rather than as a black person. But that’s not the way he was treated. From at least the time of the Beer Summit with Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., the right chose to attack the president on racial grounds. No white president would have felt compelled to produce their birth certificate just to quell the cacophony of nonsense he was encountering that threatened to drown out everything he wanted to prioritize.

    I’ve been thinking about this lately. Hear me out. You don’t have to agree with it, but it’ where I am right now.

    The death of black men & women and children are been televised like a reality show. These families of the victims go before the media cameras and spill their heart & Soul. They are being asked to forgive the killer of their family members within hours of their death. These folks are vulnerable, and think going on TV will help them. While it give voice to their grief and pain, in the long run, it has not always worked out in their favor.

    I don’t believe this serves them well. The perpetrators of these killings stays silent on the sidelines, while they build up their defenses, gathering information and building up their counter-defenses using the very words the victim families are issuing.

    The media DOES NOT care! It’ only goal is to get a story for ratings.

    I also don’t think thee attorneys representing the victim’s families always have their back. If they did, they would not sanction all these TV interviews, before any charges are brought against thee killer cops.

    Philando Castille’s family has a TV judge as their attorney. I’m sorry, but NO. I would not want someone defending my family who makes a living trying cases on TV. I’m not saying she’ isn’t competent. Just hire someone who Is not in the spotlight and has no agendas and no secondary gains by parading in front of the cameras. These family need better council, and they need it NOW.

    Because after that POS George Zimmermans’ TV trial, we have seen time and again the grandstanding and dismal outcomes. Thee TV trials have become common place and used,

    I believe to appear that justice I coming, when in reality, It has become a sideshow, that serves to insult our emotion, our intelligence, when our eyes and ears have seen the truth.

    Look at the trials of those cops that killed Freddie Gray. It’ absolutely despicable to utter from their dirty, filthy mouths that Freddie killed himself, when we aw him being dragged into the van with hi legs flailing in the wind like clothes on a clothesline.

    I’ll stop here for now, but more to come.

      Co-sign. Media, the cable TV variety, treats all of this as entertainment. Or do they call it “infotainment”? Who knows what they say to the families to get them to be interviewed on TV? I suspect they lead them to believe that it will help the cause of justice for them to tell their story and so forth. But when the questions are asked, all the TV station wants is a gotcha moment, something for the gasbags to kick around for awhile. They aren’t looking for truth.

      I am compelled to praise Amy Goodman of Democracy Now again for covering killings by police and police brutality for many years. Anyone who watches her show will readily see the difference between a highly skilled investigative reporter and the bimbos who pass who masquerade as reporters on the cable “news as entertainment” shows.

    Carlson Speaks Out: Roger Ailes’ Verbal Harassment Was ‘Continuous’

    In her first public interview since she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Fox News chairman Roger Ailes, former anchor Gretchen Carlson said she came forward because she “finally felt it was time” to speak out.

    “I just wanted to stand up for myself, first and foremost,” Carlson told The New York Times in a Tuesday interview at her lawyer Nancy Erika Smith’s New Jersey home. “And I wanted to stand up for other women who maybe faced similar circumstances.”

    The former “Real Story” host stood by the allegations laid out in the lawsuit, claiming that Ailes made sexual advances towards her, oversaw a culture of sexual harassment at Fox News and fired her because she refused him and complained about her treatment at the network.

    She told the Times that she kept quiet about the “continuous” offensive language she heard from Ailes because of the hierarchical structure of the network.

    “Everyone knew how powerful Roger Ailes was,” she said. “I certainly felt intimidated by that.”

    Ailes has denied all of the charges, insisting that Carlson filed the “retaliatory” suit because she was upset that her contract was terminated.

    Donald Trump Says Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s ‘Mind Is Shot’

    Early Wednesday morning, Donald Trump doubled down on his call for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to resign from the court over several comments to the media criticizing the Republican presidential candidate.

    Justice Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court has embarrassed all by making very dumb political statements about me. Her mind is shot – resign!

      I like Ruth Ginsburg, but as we would rightfully be appalled would this have been any of the right-wing Supreme court justices, she really shouldn’t be publicly trading jabs with political candidates…

    Trump Claims He’s Seen Calls For Moment Of Silence For Dallas Shooter

    Donald Trump told Bill O’Reilly on Tuesday that he witnessed people call for a moment of silence for the man who killed five police officers and wounded eleven other people at a Black Lives Matter rally last week.

    Asked by the Fox News host if there was a divide between blacks and whites in America, Trump used this as an example of how “there would seem to be.”

    “It’s getting more and more obvious and it’s very sad, very sad,” Trump went on. “When somebody called for a moment of silence to this maniac that shot the five police, you just see what’s going on. It’s a very, very sad situation.”

    There were no media reports about anyone calling for a moment of silence for gunman Micah Johnson, though groups from Congress to the New York Stock Exchange held moments of silence for the victims of last Thursday’s mass shooting. Searches on social media for people making such calls also came up short.

    Despite this lack of evidence, Trump reiterated the claim at a rally in Westfield, Indiana on Tuesday night, where he criticized Black Lives Matter for holding rallies across the country the weekend after the Dallas shootings.

    “The other night you had 11 cities potentially in a blow-up stage,” he said. “Marches all over the United States—and tough marches. Anger. Hatred. Hatred! Started by a maniac! And some people ask for a moment of silence for him. For the killer!”
