Meet the Mothers Of The Movement Speaking at the Democratic Convention
Will Drabold @WillDrabold 5:18 PM ET

Sybrina Fulton, Lesley McSpadden and other “Mothers of the Movement” will speak Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention. These mothers of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland and other African-American men and women who died at the hands of police, in police custody or from gun violence will tell their stories to millions of Americans.

The focus on the Black Lives Matter movement and the deaths of black Americans at the hands of police is in contrast to the Republican National Convention, where speakers used the phrases “Blue Lives Matter” and “All Lives Matter.”

In four years since the last convention, the movement has grown from nonexistent to active in dozens of cities nationwide. Black Lives Matter protesters regularly lead marches all over the country, most recently after two black men were killed on camera in Minnesota and Louisiana.

        I’ve been watching all day, and only V.P Joe has really given the President props…everyone seems to be leap-frogging from what feels like a George Bush era to a potential Hillary in the oval office scenario…Very little reference to the progress made under the still current, still historic President..

    President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have chosen Jackson Park on Chicago’s South Side as the site of the Obama presidential library, according to multiple media reports.

    The Chicago Tribune and Associated Press reported the news on Wednesday.

    A formal announcement has not been made by the Obama Foundation, but the selection caps a highly competitive campaign by numerous cities to host the library.
    The Obamas chose their home city of Chicago over New York City’s Columbia University, where the president earned his undergraduate degree, and his birthplace of Hawaii.

    The Obamas selected Jackson Park, near the University of Chicago, over a rival site, nearby Washington Park. The Jackson Park site was thought to be more accessible than the other location.

    The president is expected to use the center as a platform to work on issues such as criminal justice reform and education for underprivileged children.

    The library site is located near Chicago’s historically African-American Woodlawn neighborhood, which has seen recent gentrification.

    Obama has not yet started to personally raise money for the construction of the museum, archives and library complex, which is expected to cost $500 million.

    The project is expected to be completed in 2021.

    At this point, we don’t know if WikiLeaks is planning on releasing more embarrassing and inconvenient emails or if all the emails that get dumped will be stolen from the Democrats. Perhaps some problematic Republican emails have been pilfered, too. What we do know, though, is that prominent Republicans are setting Hillary Clinton up to take the blame if more evidence of hacking takes place. Here’s RNC Chairman Reince Priebus talking on the Hugh Hewitt radio show:

    Asked whether he expected some of Clinton’s personal emails to leak from her server, Priebus said, “Boy, I don’t know.”

    “Certainly it seems like we hear these rumors that they have these emails,” he said, referring to hackers. “Quite frankly if it’s national security you don’t want to see that happening. Hillary Clinton put our country at grave risk, and hopefully we don’t get to the point where those are released. But her sloppiness could lead to something very bad.”

    Of course, the DNC wasn’t using a server in Hillary Clinton’s house, and there’s no reason to believe that her emails have been hacked by the Russians. According the forensic investigation, there’s no evidence that they were, anyway. But Priebus wanted to blame her “sloppiness” for any future thefts regardless of where they were stolen from.

    Reince also made a curious prediction to reporter Andrea Mitchell at the Democratic National Convention on Monday:

    Reince said, “I believe that here are more emails coming. I think this is just the beginning. I don’t believe Wikileaks or these folks, whoever they are, simply released the emails all at once without more to come. I think there’s more to come and I think they should be prepared for more excitement in the email world this week.”

    Mitchell followed up,”Do you know something about it?”

    Priebus denied knowing anything, but speculated on the motives of people that “like to play games” and said usually more do follow.

    The Russian-born fraudster who Donald Trump has claimed he would not recognise was a key player in several of the billionaire’s business ventures, the Telegraph can disclose.

    Mr Trump signed off on paperwork which made clear that Felix Sater was one of the figures in “control” of Bayrock Group, the property firm building three developments using his name, an investigation has found.

      I vehemently disagree. This wasn’t a fair fight. The emails just simply support that fact with proof of what Lil’ Debbie and her buddies were up to.

      And, yes, the people at the convention AND outside the convention have the right to peacefully protest. If they want to protest the nomination of Hillary Clinton, so be it.

      The Democrats better not be praying for undecided voters to swing toward Hillary. That theory would be more applicable if Hillary were not already a household name. Same is true of Trump. People feel as though they know these two. What is going to happen on October 1 that turns this into a landslide for Hillary? Suddenly, a majority of voters in battleground states realize through Divine intervention that Hillary must win? God will speak from above? He will validate Hillary and declare that Trump is a Demon from Hell?

      Democrats better put down the bong pipes and start banging on doors in Florida and Ohio.
