    Is Hillary speaking now? She can miss me.

    I feel that this is a stolen nomination, that Bernie Sanders and his supporters have been treated with unprecedented hatred and disdain and disrespect by the Democratic Party, and that Bernie was basically robbed.

    What would have happened if this were a fair fight?

    Well, the superdelegates were going to give it to Hillary, that was always the plan.

    So, it’s official, the die hard Democrats got their nominee and she will most likely be the next president. I feel absolutely NOTHING for this so called historic moment.

    Sorry, but I just don’t think that this is one of those things that will “work out fine.”

      I’ve been watching Hillary without sound. Her facial expressions are absolutely horrible, especially the look in her eyes.

      She is devoid of humor, always has been.

    By the time a Marine and a Navy man had both validated Hillary Clinton’s Commander-in-Chief card, it was over.

    But then came Uncle Joe Biden, roaring out on his Harley and red-white-and-blue jumpsuit, whipping his Ray Bans off and and leading the crowd in a rousing chorus of “USA!USA!”.

    And then the Invisible Hand of the Marketplace made itself manifest in the person of Michael “No Labels” Bloomberg. And the Invisible Hand was swinging a 100 foot Vorpal Sword with which he proceeded to gleefully lay about the Terrible Orange Jabberwocky:

    The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!

    He went galumphing back.

    Then came Tim “Martin Minivan Buren” Kaine who made us all scrambled eggs and cracked us up with his goofy-dad Donald J. Trump impressions while cheerfully name-checking…

    It was over. It was over. It was so over.

    And then the sweetest, funniest, feistiest Gold Star Mom and school board member straight from Frank Capra central casting in the world walked up to the microphone to introduce her president. The speech that President Obama delivered after her introduction is already being translated into every language on Earth, shared on every media site and will be studied by school kids on our Martian colonies a century from now, so since you can find it anywhere (and rightly so) let us instead give the floor of this tiny blog to Mrs. Sharon Belkofer of Rossford, Ohio:

    …It was over. It was already so over.

    And then President Obama delivered what I can best describe as the “Morning In America” speech Abraham Lincoln might have given at the end of his second term had a radical Christian white supremacist not cut him down in one of the greatest acts of domestic terrorism in American history.

    Day Three of the DNC was, collectively, the most comprehensive political beat-down I have ever seen….

      In this season when some want to harden and stop the heart of our democracy, we are being called like our foremothers and fathers to be the moral defibrillator of our time. We must shock this nation with the power of love. We must shock this nation with the power of mercy. We must shock this nation and fight for justice for justice for all. We can’t give up on the heart of our democracy. Not now. Not ever.

      And so I stop by here tonight to ask – Is there a heart in this house? Is there a heart in America? Is there somebody that has a heart for the poor? and a heart for the vulnerable?     Michelle Obama has been on a roll.

    After delivering a lauded speech at the Democratic National Convention and absolutely slaying “Carpool Karaoke” on The Late Late Show with James Corden, the first lady made us potentially love her more by participating in the ultimate sign of pop culture renown: showing up in a Funny or Die video.

    The comedy website’s Instagram account posted a picture from Obama’s Snapchat of her filming the video with former Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman, decked in purple and pink neon tights and looking like they’re about to get physical.

    The video was taped at the White House Tuesday in honor of the 60th anniversary of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, according to the White House. The video will also feature Megan Mullally, who will hopefully be wearing equally bright neon tights.

    Funny or Die and the White House have not confirmed when the video will be released.The comedy website’s Instagram account posted a picture from Obama’s Snapchat of her filming the video with former Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman, decked in purple and pink neon tights and looking like they’re about to get physical.

    And in New Haven, Connecticut, Yale University has placed a gag order on dishwasher Corey Menafee, who broke a stained-glass window depicting smiling enslaved Africans carrying bales of cotton. Menafee broke the window in Yale’s residential dorm Calhoun College, named after former Vice President John C. Calhoun, one of the most prominent pro-slavery figures in American history.     Sounds like the Democrats had a great night at the convention thanks to POTUS. I didn’t hear the speeches, I’ll listen to them later today.

    Well, sorry to be the fly in the butter milk, but at the end of the day, the nominee is Hillary Clinton.

    After the election, I’m changing my voter registration to unaffiliated. If the Democrats want to get rid of the superdelegates and learn how to run fair and unbiased presidential primaries and keep wretched little power seekers like DWS out of their leadership, they might see me again. Otherwise, I guess I’ll die as an unaffiliated.

    I’ve said many times that folks would see the two Obama Administrations as an oasis in a desert. I still believe that.
