Hours after the Democratic presidential nominee fell ill at a 9/11 commemoration Sunday in New York, her doctor said in a statement that Clinton “was diagnosed with pneumonia. She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated.”

The weather today in NYC was low 80’s and 33 percent humidity. That is not what most folks would call humid except where I live in the desert. Some of these folks trying to diminish the public concern for Hillary’s episode are saying that the heat was just “stifling.” Actually, it sounds like it was a pretty nice day for weather in NYC.
Also, where was her water bottle? Shouldn’t she have a water bottle with her at all times and shouldn’t she be sipping water especially when outdoors? It’s not a sign of weakness.
Okay, that’s their story. I guess we’ll see.

Okay. I just watched the opening of the Seahawks / Dolphins game. They brought out a giant flag. They played a message from PBO about 9/11, resilience and unity and so forth. Someone in the military (Air Force, I think) sang the national anthem while all of the Seahawks stood with locked arms.
Well, I might agree that today is a bad day for taking a knee. But someone will have to explain to me how this “unity” performance will stop the killing and assaults on black citizens and other POC. And, if we were to factor in the Bush Administration’s response to 9/11, using it to justify the wrongful invasion of Iraq in 2003, we might just want to forego this entire display of how great we are when we are unified.
Seattle Seahawks, are you really that tone deaf? I don’t think that all of you are, but someone over there is grossly out of touch. Today was a fail.

Thx, Yahtzee. She clearly is unable to stand or walk on her own. She can’t step off the curb and they shove her into the van. Awhile back, I saw where she uses a step stool to get into the van. Well, this isn’t “overheating”. People generally do not pass out from heat exhaustion when they are standing still and temperatures are in the low 80’s.
She hasn’t been looking well either. I don’t want to feed the right wing narrative that she is sick, but she’s going to have to be more forthright about what is going on. She may just be severely run down and in need of rest. But they’ve made this an issue by trying to hide it, whatever it is.
Rather than thinking she was feeling faint from the heat, it looked to me as if the motor nerves in her legs were temporarily not functioning.
She is better now, and after spending two hours at her daughter’s apartment, she was able to walk on her own to the waiting vehicle. See:

Yeah, I saw that she recovered after resting or whatever. I’ve read that she has a hypothyroid condition but she should be on medication for that. But if you look at her photos from the last couple of months, she looks terribly run down.
Honestly looks like MS. I have it so I know. I’m prone to coughing fits and when under stress I can lose the feeling in my legs and arms and have even lost my vision. It is also sensitive to the heat so when overheated your symptoms can get worse temporarily

I worked with a woman who had MS. Symptoms started with her falling & dropping things & then speech left.
Also she was one of the only people with sunglasses on at the event. I have to wear sunglasses all the time when my eyes start to go. Any kind of light makes it hard to focus. I really don’t think it’s pneumonia.

Donald Trump’s tale about why he took $150,000 in 9/11 money is as tall as the Downtown skyscraper he says he used in recovery efforts, according to government records.
Though the billionaire presidential candidate has repeatedly suggested he got that money for helping others out after the attacks, documents obtained by the Daily News show that Trump’s account was just a huge lie.
Records from the Empire State Development Corp., which administered the recovery program, show that Trump’s company asked for those funds for “rent loss,” “cleanup” and “repair” — not to recuperate money lost in helping people.

Truth. It seems that the stories of just about all the victims have gotten lost in the aftermath, the Bush Administration’s response to 9/11, the so called War on Terror, the long war in Afghanistan and the unjustified 2003 invasion of Iraq. Looking back, it is incomprehensible, yet it all happened. And the fallout from all of that isn’t over, and probably never will be.
The 9/11 terrorist attack on America changed the world, to be sure. With so much destruction and loss of life in the aftermath, it does seem that all the victims, including the nearly 3,000 American civilians, have become statistics except to their families and friends.
This needs to change.

These claims have been bolstered by recent pictures where she looks very run down and videos of her coughing, etc… I’ve always thought her ship sailed and this wasn’t right for her and it certainly isn’t good for the country. But here we are.
