Almost Christmas looks like a fun way to spend a couple of hours in the movie theater. If you and the family want to go see a movie this weekend, why not give it a try?

    And Leonard Cohen has died at the age of 82 at his home in Los Angeles. The wildly influential singer and songwriter was a force in the music world for more than 50 years. Famous for the songs “Hallelujah,” “Suzanne,” “Dance Me to the End of Love”, “Famous Blue Raincoat” and “Tower of Song,” Cohen was born September 21, 1934, and lived throughout his life in New York City, London, on the Greek island of Hydra and in a monastery east of Los Angeles.

    Leonard Cohen: “Now I’ve heard there was a secret chord, that David played, and it pleased the Lord. But you don’t really care for music, do you? It goes like this: The fourth, the fifth. The minor fall, the major lift. The baffled king composing Hallelujah. Hallelujah…Hallelujah…”

    The Canadian-born singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen released his final album, “You Want It Darker,” less than a month ago.

    Hillary Clinton’s closest aide Huma Abedin wept openly in the street on Friday as she returned to the place where the Democratic candidate’s campaign was fought – and lost.

    Abedin looked like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders as she visited the campaign headquarters of the failed presidential candidate – after her own stumbles and her husband’s sexting habits helped contribute to Clinton’s historic defeat.

    Abedin ventured out of her Manhattan apartment and went to the office three days after President-elect Donald Trump shocked the world by defeating Clinton.

    She approached the tall building with stunning views which had until Tuesday been filled with staff an volunteers carrying a bag and a purse.

    The pain and emotion of the situation were clearly visible on the face of the long-time loyalist, despite the dark large-frame sunglasses that covered her eyes.

      The DNC chair has suddenly become prime real estate…it’s slim pickings now as far as job prospects since everyone was previously jigging and auditioning for a spot in Hillary’s admin.. Instead we now have what looks to be the start of what will be many food and cat fights, as folks scramble for crumbs and what few spots will be available for a little while…it’s all about them and their gigs fam…it’s never been about ‘service’ or the ‘good of the voiceless and the downtrodden’…it’s always been about cushy gigs and hook-ups…

      And these folks are all so mind-blowingly narcissistic…so incredibly petty, greedy, Self-serving, corrupt and small…and pathetic..

      Don’t be surprised if some Dems sell-out too for a spot with Trump …many of these folks have no shame..

      One wonders where Artur Davis is these days…

      But I digress..

      I’m sure poor FLOTUS was looking forward to finally shedding a whole bunch of the hangers-on who had sunk their opportunistic claws into her husband for far too long…but now that most wont be immediately absorbed by a Hillary White House after all, so many will be hanging on for dear life…clinging even tighter…and will be even harder to shed…as they make sure to keep their wagons hitched still..

      Meanwhile, Trump is stocking his pretend ‘presidency’ with all manner of looking to be resurrected, previously sidelined evil fossils …and splashes of arrogant and unabashed expressions of nepotism…with dramatic betrayals already on play with Chris Christie out of favor in just 72 hours…and Newt Gingrich making the rounds desperately doing the equivalent of wearing an ‘I talked back and my mother is making me wear this sign in front of the grocery store as punishment for calling her names’…and Larry Kudlow low-key threatening Trump who he says he hasn’t heard from since he ‘won’…talking about how he wants a spot in the admin as reward for his ‘sweat and blood’…his exact words… expended putting together Trump’s tax plan…Pray, did anyone even know Trump had a ‘Tax plan’..

      So with all the long-ostracized repug fossil pariahs demanding their place in the pretend admin, and threatening a blood-bath if overlooked… and folks already stabbing each other in the front…and openly threatening to squeal if Trump doesn’t pony up a position for them, it’s shaping up to be quite a comedic spectacle …if it weren’t for the fact that it’s our democracy and country on the line…

      It almost feels like God is setting Trump up…and a few others too…

      Or more like he’s just chilling and letting them all hang themselves with the long rope they stole

      Never have so many previously seemingly invincible and arrogant kings and kingmakers been so unceremoniously rubbished and vanquished – poof- just like that..in a blink of an eye.. In such a short space of time…as we’ve seen repeatedly happen in the past few years…

      Most of the so-called heavy-hitters that loomed large pre-2008…are all now shells of their former selves..if even that…so many mighty have fallen..

      It’s all so surreal..

      God with that quirky sense of humor..

        What a spectacle. And don’t forget the pundits are chumming up to the TRUMPSTER-***LOOKING@TWEETBIRD MATTHEWS And the are dropping all kinds of little turds on Hillary, for those emails that splattered all over the news weeks before the election. She didn’t get the college vote, not enough black votes, blah, blah, blah!!!!!

        Trump’s the king now their big white daddy, ALL IS WRITE IN WHITE AMERICA. I see it as I go about my day, the mug smile, so self assured these folks. It’s going to be one HELL of a RIDE for them. I feel it.

        Well, times have changed. These young folks are different. They are not going to be marching across the Edmund Pettus bridge with cops beating the hell out of them.

        Trump’s supporters can be as smug as they choose, but it isn’t going to help them when he causes some major debacle. They will learn. By the time Dubya left office, right after the stock market crashed and people were starting to understand what that meant, I don’t recall anyone singing his praises.

        I watched MSNBC for about ten minutes yesterday and they were actually reporting on the people protesting Trump. I was amazed. Maybe it’s an aberration.
