ATLANTA — A top African American adviser to president elect Donald Trump says he is not troubled by Trump’s White House appointments. This, in spite of reported ties to white nationalism on the part of his chief strategist Steve Bannon, and his appointment of Jeff Sessions to Attorney General.
Trump’s racially charged campaign for president bothered a lot of his critics and even some of his supporters. And his appointment of Bannon and Sessions — have added to the angst. But Bruce LeVell sees something else.
“I just think (the criticism) is totally crazy. I do,” LeVell said Monday, when asked about Bannon’s ties to white nationalism. “I’m troubled with those people in general but no I don’t see that” In Bannon.

Argentine President Mauricio Macri says he spoke with President-elect Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka during his recent phone call to America’s new leader.
“In the call, I also talked with his daughter,” Macri told The Asashi Shimbun in an interview published Monday. “I have known her since her infant days.”
Questions have swirled about how the president-elect will handle his business empire as he takes office. He’s said his children will run things in a “blind trust,” but because they are also serving on his transition team it’s unclear how that separation would work.

White people make a sweet potato casserole with marshmallows on top. Children love it.
When I was growing up everyone used that canned cranberry sauce. Just open the can, let it slide on to a dish and slice it. I don’t think very many folks use that anymore, but I’m not sure. They still sell it.
I never do this but I think a lot of white folks use those boxed dressing mixes.
I will admit to using Trader Joe’s ready made gravy in recent years.
I love pumpkin pie and it’s easy to make, but sweet potato pie is the way to go on Thanksgiving, for sure.
I never eat cranberry sauce but my kids ask for it. I love love Sweet Potato pie. My Mom always made it. I buy them.
I think I’ll try that cranberry sauce again but not on Thanksgiving. When I cook Thanksgiving dinner, I make a cranberry relish with fresh cranberries, mandarin oranges and walnuts.
My mother loved making desserts too, that was her favorite. Always from scratch, never once used a mix. I did not inherit those skills.
I didn’t inherit my mom’s baking skills either. She made everything from scratch…bread, cookies, pies, cakes. I didn’t get that. LOL
I sold my Kitchen Aid mixer on Craigslist. It was in “like new” condition.
