Memo from a key congressman outlines plan to gut Dodd-Frank bank rules
    Thursday, 9 Feb 2017 | 12:49 PM ET

House Financial Services Chairman Jeb Hensarling is strengthening his attack on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and scaling back regulations on bank living wills and stress tests in new legislation expected to be introduced soon, according to a memo obtained by CNBC.

The bill is more aggressive than the version of the Financial Choice Act passed by the committee last fall, with some of the biggest changes directed at the CFPB. The bill would turn the head of the consumer watchdog agency into a political appointee who can be dismissed at will rather than the director of an independent agency, the memo states. The previous bill called for a five-member commission to lead the CFPB.

According to the memo, the bill would strip the agency of its authority to bring cases against financial institutions under a provision known as unfair, deceptive and abusive practices, and eliminate databases of consumer complaints.

He NEVER wanted to do THE WORK of the PRESIDENT
He just wanted TO BE President

    ………………………..

He doesnt like this sh*t: Trump reportedly hates his job and his staff after less than a month.

    Source: Rawstory

After just three weeks on the job, President Donald Trump is reportedly frustrated with the realities of trying to run the U.S. government the way he manages his family-owned business.

Politico interviewed nearly two dozen people who have spent time with the former real estate developer and reality TV star since his inauguration — and they said Trump’s “mood has careened between surprise and anger as he’s faced the predictable realities of governing,” according to the report.

“The interviews paint a picture of a powder-keg of a workplace where job duties are unclear, morale among some is low, factionalism is rampant and exhaustion is running high,” Politico reported. “Two visitors to the White House last week said they were struck by how tired the staff looks.”

Trump would like to shake up his White House staff less than a month into the job but knows it’s too soon, the website reported, and aides joke that the president would like to spend even more time golfing at his Mar-A-Lago resort.

Me and my husband saw ” Am Not Your Negro” last weekend.

Powerfully profound. This generation of youth really need to read and contemplate on Baldwin’s works & words.

      Hey, Y’all,
I have a surgery date, February 23. Two weeks from today I’ll be flying back from Tampa, God willing, on the other side of this parathyroid disease and hopefully cured. I’m not expecting anything unusual. Somewhere around 70 percent of the people who have this only have one tumor. And I’ve already had an ultrasound of my thyroid so I’m not expecting any surprises there. But I’m so anxious, especially at night.

I just read a small part of James Baldwins writing in toast weeks New Yorker. He was a very interesting man. Unfortunately most of these films will never make it to our local theater. Hidden Figures did though. Hopefully they will be on cable or Netflix someday.
    Thanks so much for sharing.

What you & our fellow Repubs are doing is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, Jason C. You stand behind 45, and now you and Kellyanne have to take the hits for this jackal, while he DEFENDS his grifting daughter.

  10. Good morning, everyone!
