Donald Trump mocked Mayor Sadig Khan b/c he is Muslim. No other reason. He also attacked a Gold Star family, Khizr & Ghazala Khan, who lost their son in the Iraq war. What kind of monster insults & mocks a friend who has suffered a horrible tragedy? When you’ve had no home training & been an ignorant bully all of your life, then it’s no surprise what the ignoramus did to people in the UK & the Khans. If someone mocked, insulted & piled on to my pain after I’ve suffered a tragedy, I’d cut them off for good. I hope you’re listening, UK? Cancel the visit.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan is calling on the British government to cancel a state visit from President Trump after Trump criticized his response to this weekend’s terror attacks in London.
“I don’t think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the USA in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for,” Khan said in an interview with Britain’s Channel 4 News.
“When you have a special relationship it is no different from when you have got a close mate. You stand with them in times of adversity but you call them out when they are wrong. There are many things about which Donald Trump is wrong.”
Trump criticized Khan for his comments following the weekend terror attack in London that killed at least seven people and wounded dozens more.
“At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!'” Trump tweeted Sunday morning.
Trump appeared to be referencing Khan’s comments earlier in the day in which he said there was no reason to worry about the increased police presence in London.
Khan’s spokesperson said Sunday that he wouldn’t respond to Trump’s tweet, saying he had “more important things to do.”
“He has more important things to do than respond to Donald Trump’s ill-informed tweet that deliberately takes out of context his remarks urging Londoners not to be alarmed when they saw more police — including armed officers — on the streets,” the spokesperson said.
Khan has previously called for Trump to be denied a state visit in Britain. He pointed to Trump’s executive order barring refugees and people from seven predominantly Muslim countries from entering the U.S. as his reason, calling the order “cruel.”
“In those circumstances, we shouldn’t be rolling out the red carpet,” he said.

White House pretends Trump didn’t ‘pick a fight’ with London mayor

At the White House press briefing today, Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked a very good question: “Why is [Donald Trump] picking a fight with the mayor of London right after his city was hit with a terrorist attack?” As TPM’s report makes clear, the president’s spokesperson didn’t have much of an answer.
The reporter noted in response that the president, by taking London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s words out of context, “directly misrepresented” what was said. Sanders replied, “I don’t think that’s actually true.”
It is actually true.
The facts are unambiguous. Early yesterday morning, while much of the Western world was still coming to grips with what transpired the night before in London, Donald Trump thought it’d be a good idea to declare via Twitter, “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed’!”
Even for Trump, this was cheap and lazy. London’s Sadiq Khan told locals there’s “no reason to be alarmed” by an increased police presence in the wake of Saturday night’s attack, not by the brutal murders themselves.
Like father, like son…they’re all thugs.

Anyone who didn’t understand this previously really should get it now that Trump’s motivations are deeply rooted in his white supremacist beliefs. That is the source of his seething hatred for President Obama and it keeps showing itself now in his so called “presidency”.
The London mayor Sadiq Khan is now on the list of great people who are standing up to Trump. The list will grow, of course, and standing up to Trump will become commonplace. But the early ones are the heroes and some of them we don’t even know their names yet.
But Trump is most assuredly being watched the world over and they don’t like what they see. And his supporters look more stupid by the hour.
Count on Trump to keep doing what he does while the US mainstream media keeps waiting for him to become “presidential”. After all, they own him. He’s where he is because of them.
And Trump’s children are no better than he is, just younger.
Trump will probably trash the WH and have all of the WH staffers running for “safe spaces” after he learns about the great reception PBO received in Canada today, especially after he learns what PBO said in his speech.
