REPORT: NY State is Investigating Trump Modeling Agency

IR.NET

As we all know, Donald Trump has run many businesses over the past several decades, so for anyone in charge of investigating any potentially illegal business dealings, there is plenty to siphon through. As has been reported in the past, Special Counsel Robert Mueller is looking at many of the Trump Organization’s business deals over the years, as part of his attempt to figure out if the 45th President of the United States may have been involved with any illegal activity.

The latest report from former White House staffer, and veteran of three presidential campaigns, Claude Taylor, shows that not only is Mueller investigating Trump, but the State of New York is as well. Taylor’s sources, while anonymous, have been surprisingly accurate over the past few months, and this time they have informed him that Trump Model Management, a Trump-owned modeling agency, is now under investigation.

Yesterday afternoon, Taylor tweeted: “There are a number of investigations being coordinated by NYAG Schneiderman office under both the Financial Crimes Bureau and the Organized Crime Task Force. According to my source one of the more intriguing ones is an [investigation] into the Trump Modeling Agency.”

It is unknown what this investigation could entail, but Taylor did follow up these tweets with additional information this morning, which read:
“‘Enterprise Corruption’ you’ll be hearing this term a lot. It refers to NY state’s version of the RICO statutes. #Schneidermanscoming. Keep in mind Preet Bharara was building a strong case against Trump on money laundering & financial crimes. Schneiderman has all his files.”

Alexia Palmer

“Enterprise Corruption” is a charge that involves organized crime, and for those unfamiliar with Schneiderman, he is the current Attorney General for the state of New York. If there was an ongoing investigation into Trump’s modeling agency or other businesses, at the time Trump fired Preet Bharara, then like Taylor mentioned, there is a good chance that Scneiderman is now the individual responsible for continuing the investigation.

As for the Trump Model Management business, back in August of 2016 several former models alleged that they were working for the agency without the company ever obtaining legal work visas for them. Then in April of this year, it was announced that the agency would be shut down, although it still remains active today. As for the investigation, we assume they could be looking into possible financial ties to Russia or potential mechanisms the business used for money laundering, but as of right now these are just wild guesses.

Former Trump model Rachel Blais appeared in this Elle fashion spread, published in September 2004, while working for Trump’s agency without a proper visa. Read Mother Jones‘ complete investigation here.

Additionally, Taylor’s source explained to him, “I am aware of at least one sealed indictment targeting multiple Trump Organization Principals”.

Regardless of what ends up happening, it will be very interesting to see where these alleged investigations go, and what, if anything comes of them and President Trump.

  5. Inside Donald Trump’s One-Stop Parties: Attendees Recall Cocaine and Very Young Models

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/inside-donald-trumps-one-stop-parties-attendees-recall-cocaine-and-very-young-models

The morals of Donald J. Trump, as a longtime model lover and then a modeling agency owner, were forged in another era, one in which young girls were used as a sort of currency between men doing business with one another.

It’s not a time that Trump, who once blew up gossip reporters’ phones to dish on his own sexual exploits, real and imagined, is eager to remember now. But after I wrote for The Daily Beast earlier this year about the parties he hosted in the 1990s where “his wealthy friends, high-rollers from his Atlantic City casinos, and potential Trump condominium buyers could meet models” from second-tier agencies, several men who attended those parties at the Plaza Hotel emerged to share scandalous specifics about Trump’s presence and behavior at events where illegal drugs and young women were passed around and used.

Trump’s assistant referred a request for comment about the two men’s claims, detailed below, to his campaign, which didn’t respond to several inquiries.

I’ve been covering Trump since 1985, when I worked for The New York Times’ women’s pages. He endorsed one of my books, about real estate, and was a character in two more of them. He talked to me about sex and substances and the substance of the arena in which he made his name, real estate. I published all of it. In 1999, he told me that in 1995 he’d been worth about negative $900 million. I didn’t have the chops to think to ask for his tax returns.

I also wrote a book about the modeling industry and heard stories about Trump but didn’t write them because he wasn’t important in it, just another rich guy buying a date farm, perhaps for his friends, perhaps for himself. This wasn’t pejorative, just how things were. (Leonardo DiCaprio, at the height of his “Pussy Posse” fame, thanked Trump for offering “one-stop date-shopping.”)

Now, those stories seem to matter more, and so I spoke in recent days with two Trump pals, both reluctant to talk about the man they once partied hard with who’s now the Republican nominee to be president of the United States. In that capacity, Trump has vowed to sue people who have come forward in recent weeks with allegations about his bad behavior.

One of the two men I spoke with, a fashion photographer, requested anonymity because he has fathered several children since his Trump days and doesn’t want his past dredged up. “There’s no upside for me,” he says.

The other man… well, you’ll read his words. Both confirmed that Trump, as I’ve reported, used to host parties in suites at the Plaza Hotel when he owned it, where young women and girls were introduced to older, richer men. This is hardly aberrant behavior in the modeling business. Indeed, it is standard operating procedure.

But both men also put Donald Trump in the room with cocaine, very young women and underage girls, and rich, old men there to—pardon my language, but if the Times can say pussy on its front page, I can say this—fuck them.

I’m sorry, Ivanka, I really am, because your mother raised you well and I can’t blame you for supporting your father (even if he did give—at the least—his blessing when you were 15 and signed on as a model yourself with Elite, the hard-partying high-end agency founded by notorious teen-fucker John Casablancas) but here’s the sad truth: Your dad’s not a dog. He’s a pig.

The photographer says he attended Trump’s parties with one of the owners of the hair salon, Pierre Michel, that operated in both the Plaza and Trump Tower. The salon owner, Pierre Ouaknine, says his memories of those Plaza parties vanished after a recent surgery. But the photographer’s memories are crystal clear. Trump would take over “suites on the corners” of his hotel with views of Central Park and Grand Army Plaza, not to mention lots to look at inside, and wow his guests.

The attraction for the men “was young girls assuming they’d get somewhere” by joining the party, the photographer says, “Of course, it never happens.”

Young models were attracted to the fêtes with a simple, time-tested pitch. “You’ll meet rich guys who will help you,” says the photographer. “It was networking, but on a weird, bizarre scale.”

The girls were as young as 15, he says, and “over their heads, they had no idea, and they ended up in situations. There were always dramas because the men threw money and drugs at them to keep them enticed. It’s based on power and dominating girls who can’t push back and can be discarded. There’s always someone to pick them back up. Nobody wants to call home and say ‘Help me.’”

  7. Judge calls former NKY judge accused of sex-trafficking a ‘potential danger’

    CAMPBELL COUNTY, Ky. —
A former Campbell County judge facing human trafficking charges won’t be released from jail.

More victims have come forward recently, investigators said, leading to more charges for 70-year-old Timothy Nolan.

The total number of victims now stands at 12: two juveniles and 10 adults.

Campbell County police are still asking anyone who thinks they may have been a victim to come forward.

Nolan was arraigned Monday on the new charges.

His attorneys asked for a lower bond, but Judge Elizabeth Chandler said based on the volume of people coming forward, he is considered to be a potential danger to the community.

The alleged crimes involve prostitution, rape and the unlawful transaction with a minor.

Nolan’s attorney said some of the alleged victims are tenants of his that live on his property.

The former judge was also a school board member and resigned after being charged.

  8. Former Trump official charged with child human trafficking

Timothy Nolan — a retired judge who chaired Donald Trump’s electoral campaign in Campbell County, Kentucky — will appear in court Friday on charges of human trafficking and unlawful transaction with a minor, according to reports.

Nolan, 70, allegedly forced a minor to perform commercial sex in August and was arrested last month, Reuters reported. Rape, human trafficking and giving alcohol to a minor are among the nine felonies and two misdemeanors Nolan has been charged with.

    Nolan has denied all charges.

He was assigned an ankle-monitor at his arraignment in April and forbidden from any contact with his alleged victims.

A former district court judge in Campbell County, Nolan has reportedly been active in conservative politics and the tea party movement in recent years. He served as the chair of Trump’s campaign in the northern Kentucky county last year and in July helped select delegates to cast votes for Trump in the party primary.

Nolan was elected to the Campbell County school board in November. He resigned from that post on Thursday, thanking his colleagues in a statement and saying did not want to “[distract] from the board’s important business.”

The statement from his lawyer also dismissed the charges as “baseless and set up.”

In May 2016, Nolan was removed from the state’s Boxing and Wrestling Commission after an anti-Republican website posted what was purported to be a picture of Nolan wearing a Ku Klux Klan robe. Nolan filed a defamation lawsuitin June saying the person in the robe was not him, but a friend posing in them as a “joke” a few Halloweens earlier.

“It’s a joke in the neighborhood because every year [Nolan’s friend] dresses up as a Klansman and he has two black grandchildren that he loves to death,” Christian Dennery, a lawyer representing Nolan, said.

The lawsuit said the Trump campaign did not dismiss Nolan because he assured them he was not racist.

Nolan could face up to 20 years in prison for the human trafficking charge, a Kentucky Department of Corrections spokesperson told Reuters ahead of the preliminary hearing Friday.

  9. Trump’s labor nominee reportedly made court deal with notorious billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/trump-labor-nominee-made-court-deal-billionaire-sex-offender-article-1.3005099

President Trump’s labor secretary pick once cut a non-prosecution deal with playboy pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, according to a report.

Epstein, a billionaire money manager and a onetime acquaintance of Trump’s, served 13 months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution in 2008, court papers show.

The relatively light sentence prompted widespread outrage, as federal prosecutors had alleged that the 64-year-old Epstein sexually abused at least 40 girls, some of whom were apparently as young as 13.

Epstein’s brief prison stint was the result of a non-prosecution agreement drawn up by Trump’s labor pick, Alexander Acosta, who at the time served as the U.S. attorney in Miami, the Washington Post first reported on Tuesday.

Trial date set for lawsuit against billionaire sex offender Epstein

WEST PALM BEACH: A trial that promises to offer the first public airing of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s activities with teenage girls at his Palm Beach mansion is to be held in December, a Palm Beach County circuit judge agreed Thursday.

The malicious prosecution lawsuit that attorney Bradley Edwards filed against the Palm Beach billionaire has been on hold for years while various appeals were filed. With the issues resolved by the Florida Supreme Court last month, Circuit Judge Donald Hafele said the jury trial should begin Dec. 5.

While attorney Jack Scarola, who represents Edwards, had put President Donald Trump on the witness list, he has said he won’t need Epstein’s fellow part-time Palm Beacher to prove his case. The legal hurdles he would face to try to force a sitting president to take the witness stand are unnecessary, he said.

“We can prove our case without Donald Trump’s testimony,” Scarola said in May.

Scarola claims Epstein sued Edwards in 2009 to punish him for representing roughly a half-dozen women against Epstein. The women claimed Epstein paid them for sexually charged massages at his mansion when some were as young as 14. Epstein eventually dropped his lawsuit against Edwards, but the state Supreme Court recently ruled Edwards could still pursue the 64-year-old politically connected money manager for malicious prosecution.

As part of a plea deal in 2008, Epstein settled the lawsuits that more than two dozen young women, including Edwards’ clients, had filed against him. The settlement agreements were confidential.

When he agreed to plea guilty to charges of solicitation of prostitution and soliciting minors to engage in prostitution, he also agreed not to contest the women’s claims. In what Edwards and others have described as a “sweetheart deal,” Epstein served 13 months of an 18-month sentence. He was allowed to leave the Palm Beach County jail during the day to work, but he has been forced to register as a sexual offender.

That deal is the subject of a separate lawsuit now pending against the U.S. government in federal court. Edwards claims the U.S. Attorney’s Office violated the federal Crime Victims Rights Act by signing off on the deal, which allowed Epstein to plead guilty to minor charges in Palm Beach County Circuit Court. In exchange, federal prosecutors said they wouldn’t pursue charges against him.

In court papers, federal prosecutors recently disputed Edwards’ claims, insisting they kept victim’s informed as the nonprosecution agreement took shape. They said many of the victims refused to testify. They claimed they negotiated the deal because they wanted to assure that the traumatized young women received money to rebuild their lives and that Epstein would be forever branded a sex offender to protect other young women.

Edwards is to file his response to their claims by the end of the month.
