Breaking: Mueller Subpoenas Trump Deutsche Bank Records

Special prosecutor Robert Mueller zeroed in on President Donald Trump’s business dealings with Deutsche Bank AG as his investigation into alleged Russian meddling in U.S. elections widens.

Mueller issued a subpoena to Germany’s largest lender several weeks ago, forcing the bank to submit documents on its relationship with Trump and his family, according to a person briefed on the matter, who asked not to be identified because the action has not been announced.

“Deutsche Bank always cooperates with investigating authorities in all countries,” the lender said in a statement to Bloomberg Tuesday, declining to provide additional information.

Deutsche Bank for months has rebuffed calls by Democratic lawmakers to provide more transparency over the roughly $300 million Trump owed to the bank for his real estate dealings prior to becoming president. Representative Maxine Waters of California and other Democrats have asked whether the bank’s loans to Trump, made years before he ran for president, were in any way connected to Russia. The bank previously rejected those demands, saying sharing client data would be illegal unless it received a formal request to do so. Trump has denied any wrongdoing.

Calls and emails to the White House weren’t immediately returned. Handelsblatt reported the subpoena earlier on Tuesday.

    I’ve been thinking about that solitary 2005 tax return that was leaked ..

    We already know that the buffoon and his devious cohorts leaked it.. And for a reason..

    We also know it was a ‘joint filing’ …the first, and probably last – or just a maybe one of few if even that, such ‘married filing jointly’ tax filings between the buffoon and his imported, then green card holding 3rd wife looking to become a citizen ..an immigration naturalization status change application which was subsequently filed, and citizenship granted in 2006, a year after the 2005 wedding.. (Green card/resident permit was obtained in 2001 ..a year after she moved in with the buffoon..)

    It occurs to me that this was the one tax filing that was very carefully put together .. it was also the tax filing that was submitted to the government as part of the requisite documentation in support of the 3rd wife’s citizenship/naturalization application..

    Besides this particular tax return being necessary to establish ‘continuous’ residency of the applicant 3rd wife, showing ‘stable, sufficient’ income/‘moral’character as evidenced very narrowly in this instance by non-delinquency re: taxes ..

    Knowing the actual characters involved, it was also probably seriously embellished to impress, and for self-boosting and vanity purposes …knowing well that the submitted document was going be used to dazzle (and bamboozle) those charged with reviewing and approving the immigration status change application request, and subsequently preserved as part of a permanent government immigration record …and seen and possibly reviewed over the years, by a variety of people and agencies..

    It’d be curious to see if they’re still filing jointly …doubt it very much… Besides the obvious …paranoia etc. …there are serious fiscal implications inherent …for a multiple-divorced, dubious ‘business’ guy with various dubious entanglements and multiple children (of varying importance and relevance), from different women..

    It’d be curious too to see how his other tax returns drastically differ from this particular one that was obviously put together to also support an immigration status change/naturalization application..

      When one is so terribly compromised, so in over his head … and so in debt and terrified of the unsavory benefactors that own his debt .. and running so scared, he can’t think straight..
