Christmas candles 84Silver Bells” is a classic Christmas song, composed by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans.

“Silver Bells” was first performed by Bob Hope and Marilyn Maxwell in the motion picture The Lemon Drop Kid, filmed in July–August 1950 and released in March 1951.[1] The first recorded version was by Bing Crosby and Carol Richards, released by Decca Records in October 1950.[2] After the Crosby and Richards recording became popular, Hope and Maxwell were called back in late 1950 to refilm a more elaborate production of the song.

“Silver Bells” started out as the questionable “Tinkle Bells.” Said Evans, “We never thought that tinkle had a double meaning until Jay went home and his [first] wife said, ‘Are you out of your mind? Do you know what the word tinkle is?'” The word is child’s slang for urination.

Doesn’t necessarily ‘encourage’ his incendiary language, but Loves his ‘hardline stance’..

Pray tell what’s the difference between not encouraging, but loves ‘hardline stance’..

can you retweet me to those female Senators, asking them…
WHY can’t they WAIT for the ETHICS investigation?

WHY, do they insist, on playing THE FOOL FOR REPUBLICANS EVERY DAMN TIME!!

    • eliihass says:

      Thank you..

Dems always, always fall for the trap …Always let the republicans outmaneuver them..

And in the end, there will be no awards or reward or praise for their faux-highmindedness and mostly aggrandizing and hollow grandstanding and showboating and preemptive throwing of their folk under the bus.. All while republicans mutter under their breath …duck and dodge until it all blows over and their worst pedophiles are greeted as heroes as they arrive in Congress in their numbers..

Listen, I’m all for cleaning house, but there’s just so much hypocrisy, double standards and ridiculousness going on right now …I just can’t..

I do still have a lot to say about this whole sexual harassment/#metoo thing..

      But it’ll have to wait..

    Shyt don’t make sense.

Let me make this clear, in care you don’t see it.

THEY WANT FRANKEN TO RESIGN BECAUSE FRANKEN ASKED FOR AN ETHICS INVESTIGATION.

IFFFF Franken Resigns, then NO Ethics Investigation.

If there is a FRANKEN Ethics Investigation, then how the phuck you NOT gonna have a ROY MOORE ETHICS INVESTIGATION (if he gets elected)?

See the Banana in the Tailpipe, you craven, weak muthaphuckas!

The politics behind the GOP’s reversal on Roy Moore
    12/06/17 10:45 AM—UPDATED 12/06/17 11:13 AM
    By Steve Benen

    …………………………………..

The vote-counting arithmetic is pretty straightforward.

The Senate Republicans’ tax bill passed the other day with 51 votes, leaving GOP leaders will very little room for error. Members are now starting to realize, however, that the just-passed Senate bill is a mess that will need to be largely rewritten in conference committee. Republicans are determined to advance the negotiations quickly, but the Senate special election in Alabama is just six days away – and it’s probably unrealistic to think the final version of the GOP tax plan will be ready for a vote by then.

If Doug Jones pulls off the upset, the Senate Republicans’ majority will shrink from 52 members to 51. At that point, if any two GOP senators balk at the party’s priority, it fails.

    ………………………………………..
What caused Republicans to discover that they’re not that concerned about Roy Moore’s child-molestation allegations anymore? It’s hardly a stretch to think the vote on the party’s tax plan had something to do with it.

The government shutdown deadline is just two days away
    12/06/17 10:09 AM
    By Steve Benen

There’s never been a federal government shutdown when one party controls both the White House and Congress. That may change this week.

As Rachel noted on the show the other day, when there’s a possible shutdown looming, the political world is ordinarily fascinated by the drama. It’s a testament to just how frenetic the current environment is that the federal government will run out of money in two days, and much of the country probably isn’t aware of the pending deadline.

The first step in preventing the government from shutting down will be a spending bill in the House. Politico reports that Republican leaders appear to have settled on a plan.

House Republican leaders have promised conservatives that they won’t grant concessions to Democrats to get enough votes for a stopgap spending bill – gaining GOP support but also raising the specter of a government shutdown later this month.

I was watching LarryO last night, and guess what….

Guess who’s had a change of heart since they voted FOR the GOP Tax Scam?

Those 11 or 12 GOPers from California.
They were all big and bad when they voted FOR it..

But. they went home and heard from their constituents.

    I’ve said from the beginning..
These are not the folks that give two shyts about the Little Baby Jesus, or Abortion, or Guns..

    They are the IGMFY Republicans.
They are Republicans because of TAXES.

And, rarely, if ever, can you attach something happening in your life DIRECTLY to a single vote.
Their constituents are like – Muthaphuckas, you best not even think about raising my taxes….

So now, they want to resinstate the state and local tax deductions..

    Uh huh
    Uh huh
