Christmas Candles 56“Blue Christmas” is a Christmas song written by Billy Hayes and Jay W. Johnson. It is a tale of unrequited love during the holidays and is a longstanding staple of Christmas music, especially in the country genre.

The song was first recorded by Doye O’Dell in 1948,[3] and was popularized the following year in three separate recordings: one by country artist Ernest Tubb; one by bandleader Hugo Winterhalter and his orchestra; and one by bandleader Russ Morgan and his orchestra (the latter featuring lead vocals by Morgan and backing vocals by singers credited as the Morganaires).

    You couldn’t really make this stuff up if one tried..

    Just caught a segment with Don Lemon and 3 ‘black republicans’ sent out with marching orders from the buffoon and his folks, to ‘take the gloves off’ and take down Omarosa..

    The premise: that these 3, unlike Omarosa, are true ‘ideological’ believers .. But these ‘true believers’ like others, were specifically blocked by Omarosa from getting gigs to ‘advocate the black perspective’, with the treasonous buffoon and his Alt-Right cohort, screwing over America in general, and black folks specifically..

    LOL..

    Please someone find the video if you can..

    You can’t decide if you want to laugh or cry..

    The state also failed to teach poll workers how to deal with “inactive” voters. The correct procedure is to simply let them vote after identifying themselves. But some poll workers refused to give them a ballot.

      There should not be talks of ‘team’ .. diverse or no..

      We should be hastening the permanent end to this entire farce.. and the ridding of the greedy, treasonous crazy that has besieged us..

      With the never ending shenanigans and endless ridiculous gimmicks …’ribbon cutting’ with an oversized pair of golden scissors, of piles of paper representing the ‘cutting of regulations’… As if that is somehow a good thing …and the necessary and significant protections offered consumers, children, adults, the country and our world as a whole, thanks to these regulations, aren’t in fact the measure of a more advanced, educated, informed and consequently, a healthier, safer, fairer world and people…

    If you live in Lowndes County and are of voting age, it’s a safe bet that Perman Hardy has spoken with you about voting at some point in the past 25 years.

    As one of the thousands of sharecroppers who worked white men’s land in Lowndes County over the years, 59-year-old Hardy recalls picking cotton after school growing up. She eventually finished her education, bought her own home, and had a successful career as a home health nurse.

    But for the past two-and-a-half decades, Hardy has dedicated much of her free time to another pursuit: trying to ensure that every single person in Lowndes County shows up to the polls for every election in Alabama. A native of the unincorporated community of Collirene, she has done about as much as one person possibly could to boost turnout in the impoverished, majority-black county with a population of just 10,458 people.

    “That’s my goal is to make sure everyone votes. That’s always been my goal. This is what I do every election,” she said as she steered her forest-green Chevrolet Tahoe through Collirene, a rural area that was once home to several cotton plantations that employed generations of slaves and sharecroppers.

    “We’re in an epidemic poverty county so it’s so important for us to vote today,” she told AL.com. “I took some people today who’ve never cast a ballot before.”

    There has to be a reason why from Day 1 the Trumpies pursued an I heart Russia policy. The starting premise has to be that the entire crowd saw big money in Russian deals. Manafort, Flynn and the info re Russian financing for Trump business activities – they all point to this corrupt motive. How Pence figures in is interesting, since how can this apparent pinhead end up being connected to everything.

    The Russian interference in the election appears to be of purely Russian origin, and is just the Russian state weaponizing the Russian credit card scammers. If anything, the Russian meddling was overplaying it, and has created a problem for Trump since they would have been happy to perform favors for the Russians for business deals without regard to election meddling. The Russians dangled election meddling as additional bait, and the naturally corrupt Trump crew jumped at that. Just how much they jumped is unclear, but they were clearing willing to collude. Someone came up with the idea of using Wikileaks as the intermediary in order to give everyone deniability, and Assange was more than happy to give cover to Russian espionage in order to fuck with Clinton.

    I dont think the Trumpies gave much thought to the blowback that would result from Russian election meddling, or their involvement in it. Like many craven business people, they were nosing for deals, and pulling on threads to see what profit might result from it. Blowback is just not a concern cause its almost never an issue in their world.

    Winning the election meant pursuing these Russian deals in exchange for lifting sanctions on Russia. They knew this was radioactive. Its why Kushner was caught trying to set up secure communications through the Russian embassy. They knew they had to keep this secret from US intel. It shows the corrupt motive. What I wonder is who gave Kushner the idea to do this – Kushner was acting pursuant to someone elses plan.

    Its also why they have lied non-stop about endless contacts with Russians. They knew they were persuing dirty deals, and assumed they could just lie their way out of it. After all, that usually works in their business world. Flynn had to go first cause he got caught – not because anyone was surprised or unaware of the lie. Imagine what Kushner thought, since he repeated the same lies endlessly for his security clearance.

    Trump himself knows all this, and went into damage control with Comey. When he realized Comey would not heel like an obedient dog, the Trumpies started to freak. They decided jointly to fire him, and its clear Kushner was part of this obstruction since he could clearly see that he had the same problem as Flynn, only much worse.

    Trump gleefully acted like this act, akin to a mafia hit, solved his problem. And who does he brag to about this? The Russian foreign minister the very next day in the Oval Office. You can sense the Russians waiting with some unease for the Trump promise of sanctions rollback to come to fruition, and the Trumpies saying wait until the smoke clears.

    This issue exposes the corruption and lying of the Trumpies right to the core. They would sell out US interests for Russian money, and claim that is good policy.

        I’ve paid attention, watched and listened very closely, since the weird campaign started 2 years ago, and until now …And I can categorically say that even in all the crazy, and even with some so-called ‘allies’ bashing and insulting and attacking, not once has Omarosa ever badmouthed or attacked the Obamas.. or black folks as a collective ..never..

        Which ironically is much more than I can say for some of the very gleeful folks now running around ramping up the racial insults and stereotypes in attacking her and pushing for her to be burnt at the stake..

        Same folks who consistently treat as ‘delicate’ and as merely an ‘innocent bystander’ ..and quick to jump in to excuse, protect and defend the ‘honor’ of the very complicit, vapid, lying, hollow, racist Birther 3rd wife who not only is a willing accomplice of many years to the geriatric megalomaniac buffoon whose pocket books she burrowed her way into …And for many, many years, the direct beneficiary of some of his ill-gotten spoils which she continues to enjoy uninterrupted to this day..

      Farenthold should never have been elected to Congress in the first place because he’s an immature buffoon with a frat-boy mentality. I’m not buying his excuse that he’d never run a congressional office before. Any mature adult should know the difference between appropriate and inappropriate workplace behavior. I think the truth is that he won the seat, it went to his head, and he went wild with the new power he’d acquired. I’m glad the persons he abused and sexually harassed decided to expose his corrupt, lying behind.

      I can well imagine that what bothers him the most is that it is black women who really possess and live true Christian values. He has long run a religious con game that has convinced most Alabamians that he’s a Christian and lives the life of a Christian when he isn’t, and doesn’t. Black women in Alabama have shown him that being a Christian involves more than just talking about Jesus—it involves walking the walk, a walk we know very well.

      “..Maranda Richmond, now 21, told KyCIR that Johnson, who’d been her pastor and a close family friend, sexually abused her in 2012 when she was 17. She said she’d been spending the night with Johnson’s daughter when the pastor, apparently intoxicated, returned home and groped her breasts while she was sleeping on a sofa.

      “He stuck his tongue in her mouth. Then, he forced his hands down her pants, underneath her underwear, and penetrated her with his finger,” the report said.
