Holiday candle 4Jingle Bells is one of the best-known and commonly sung winter songs in the world. It was written by James Lord Pierpont (1822–1893) and published under the title “One Horse Open Sleigh” in the autumn of 1857. Even though it is commonly thought of as a Christmas song, it was actually written and sung for Thanksgiving.[1] It was mistakenly branded as a Christmas song because being extremely popular at Thanksgiving, it was sung again around Christmas.

    NONE DARE CALL IT COLLUSION

    ……………………….

We know that Russian spies approached the Trump campaign offering assistance in the election multiple times. At least twice, Russians dangled the lure of “dirt” on Hillary Clinton, including stolen emails, and both times, Trump campaign officials (George Papadopoulos and Donald Trump, Jr.) expressed interest. Trump, Jr. was particularly enthusiastic about the idea of cooperating with the Russians, and shortly after he welcomed Russian spies to Trump tower for a meeting about “dirt” on Hillary Clinton, he coordinated messaging with Wikileaks, which operated last summer and fall as a cutout for Russian hackers.

After repeatedly communicating to Russia (in public and in private) that they welcomed interference in the election, Trump and his aides cast public doubt on whether the saboteurs were Russians at all. When Trump went on to win the election after benefiting from this interference, members of his inner circle, through Michael Flynn, secretly connived with Russia to subvert the countermeasures the American government had undertaken as penalties for Russia’s interference.

Last Call For The Zombie-Eyed Granny Starver

Looks like Paul Ryan is reading the GOP tea leaves in a post-Roy Moore future and is realizing he won’t be Speaker of the House much longer and is pulling a Boehner and i heading for the exits.

Despite several landmark legislative wins this year, and a better-than-expected relationship with President Donald Trump, Ryan has made it known to some of his closest confidants that this will be his final term as speaker. He consults a small crew of family, friends and staff for career advice, and is always cautious not to telegraph his political maneuvers. But the expectation of his impending departure has escaped the hushed confines of Ryan’s inner circle and permeated the upper-most echelons of the GOP. In recent interviews with three dozen people who know the speaker—fellow lawmakers, congressional and administration aides, conservative intellectuals and Republican lobbyists—not a single person believed Ryan will stay in Congress past 2018.

  11. BLACK WOMEN!!!!!!!!!!!! Y’all see this ish? WaPo trying to dismiss black women voters. But we’re NOT going to let you take anything from black women and give it to someone else. Black women voted for Doug Jones 98 percent. The numbers don’t lie!

No, you will not dismiss the Black women vote!

      White evangelicals? No way.

    • Ametia says:

      THIS COMMENT RIGHT HERE:

Stop trying to give whites credit for not electing a pedophile when the 2/3 of whites who actually voted in that election voted for him.

The nature of whites in America having the numbers and political power that they do means that they will be both the heroes and the villains, often. However, you would have to be dishonest to pretend that it was whites who swung the election away from Roy Moore when his base is the evangelicals. I mean, who else was voting for this guy? It wasn’t the liberals and “heathens”. No, it was the religious people who oddly enough have convenient morals.

No, they didn’t swing the election to Doug Jones. I don’t think sitting out or doing write-in votes count as a positive affirmation of Jones.

All this kind of writing does is pretend that the Alabama electorate is made up of decent people. Sorry, not all of them are that decent if it was this razor-thin a margin in electing somebody who ISN’T an accused pedophile. I’d like think it’s because they find it hard to vote for a man who put Klan in jail who bombed a black Christian church… but that doesn’t make it much better, either, that it was this close.

No, 2/3 of the whites voted for Moore. You don’t get to run past that to act like white religious people are the main reason he lost. They’re the main reason he was as competitive in this race as he was. Sorry.

      • Liza says:

“They’re the main reason he was as competitive in this race as he was.”

Yep. They are selectively moral which is the same as being immoral.

The answer to the WP’s question is hell, no! I’m sick and tired of the MSM trying to undermine black females’ political power, and the other very important contributions we make to this nation {Hello, “Hidden Figures”.} Some journalists will never believe that our votes count just as much as the votes of white evangelicals. They have to believe/convince themselves that Jones won because thousands upon thousands upon thousands of white evangelicals voted for him, but, as you stated, the statistics don’t lie. I want them to keep thinking this as we continue to rise up, vote, and bring much-needed change to America. Moore didn’t think he needed any blacks to vote for him. He didn’t even try to appeal to them. It was only after he lost that he probably realized that he could have used them to win that senate seat if he had stopped telling us how much “better” our lives were when our ancestors were enslaved. The old tool isn’t smart enough to know when his racist, bigoted, homophobic, Islamophobic, behind insults millions of his fellow citizens while expecting them to vote for him. It’s time for him and Kayla to sit down and STFU.

  14. rikyrah says:

As I was reading some post mortem articles about the Alabama Senate race, it came to me another group who had egg on their face:
The ‘ earn this vote’ /hotep crowd that didn’t learn SHYT from 2016, and believed those bullshyt articles about Black people not being interested in the Senate race. Will say it again- there is no more pragmatic voter than a Black Southern voter. They can have issues with Jones, but when the other muthaphucka says that there shouldn’t be any Amendments to the Constitution after the 10th..they know what that means.
