“To really change the world, we have to help people change the way they see things. Global betterment is a mental process, not one that requires huge sums of money or a high level of authority. Change has to be psychological. So if you want to see real change, stay persistent in educating humanity on how similar we all are than different. Don’t only strive to be the change you want to see in the world, but also help all those around you see the world through commonalities of the heart so that they would want to change with you. This is how humanity will evolve to become better. This is how you can change the world. The language of the heart is mankind’s main common language.”

In a letter to African regional leaders, President Donald Trump has said he “deeply respects” the people of Africa and that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will make an “extended visit” to the continent in March.
The letter — a copy of which was obtained by NBC News — is dated Thursday and was sent ahead of the African Union summit this weekend in Ethiopia.

Coal Mining Deaths Double in 2017 After Hitting Record-Low in 2016

The number of workplace deaths in the coal mining industry nearly doubled last year after hitting a record-low in 2016, The Hill reports.
According to the Mine Safety and Health Administration, 15 miners died on the job in 2017 compared to 8 deaths in 2016.
The 15th death of the year came Friday at a mine run by Revelation Energy in West Virginia.
West Virginia saw eight mining deaths last year. Other deaths were reported in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Kentucky, Montana, Alabama, and Wyoming.
Last month, the Senate confirmed David Zatezalo, a former coal mining executive, to head the Mine Safety and Health Administration.
Zatezalo’s company, Rhino Resources, was hit with a number of enforcement actions by the Mine Safety and Health Administration while he was its chief executive.
