I know that I seem to be harping on this. But, I believe that I must.

I don’t give a rat’s ass that Dolt45 or Stephen Miller or John Kelly are racist.

That they are racist MUST be brought up in context to the POLICY’S REGARDING IMMIGRATION that they now put forth.

They LIED that they were going to get rid of the CRIMINAL ILLEGALS….

I knew that they were lying by whom surrounded him and was giving him immigration advice.

I knew that Kelly was never the Adult in the Room, but a vicious racist due to the following at his tenure at Homeland Security:
1. Him threatening to leave meetings with concerned Arabs and Muslims in Michigan. Like he wasn’t a public servant and was supposed to sit there, and answer their serious questions.
2. Him not having a problem with SEPARATING PARENTS FROM CHILDREN IN CUSTODY! Who puts forth a policy like that?
So, I never fell for the “Kelly is a decent man” scam.

The GOP spend decades scaring White people with ‘ the Savage Black man is coming to get your White Women.’
And now, it’s morphed to ‘ every Brown person is a member of MS-13, and THEY are coming to get your White Women.’

A Chemistry professor who has been living here and paying taxes for 30 years. Yeah, I can see how much of a threat he is to this country.

“It’s just a devastating situation.”

There’s a sad, somber tone in Jacob Leonce’s voice as he tries to smile. He looks much younger than his 45 years tell you he should look. He wears jeans and a long-sleeved white t-shirt, a casual dress compared to others around him. His skin is a shade of mocha, a reflexion of his Caribbean birth and upbringing. Seated beside him in church this morning sit his two sons, both under the age of 10. Like many their age, they wish they could be doing something else rather than sitting through a Sunday service. All they know is that their Dad wanted them to be there today.

Because this was no average Sunday service at the New England Pentecostal Church in Pelham, New Hampshire. This was a service dedicated to Jacob, an immigrant from the Caribbean nation of St. Lucia, who was facing imminent deportation. Despite community groups rallying to his cause, a campaign to raise awareness by his pastor Bishop Stanley Choate, and a group of nearly 30 community leaders who attended Jacob’s most recent ICE check-in, there seemed to be little hope for Jacob. After having his stay of deportation appeal denied in December, Jacob knew that his time in the United States was limited. Despite the presence of multiple media outlets in attendance willing to share Jacob’s story, there wasn’t a whole lot that could be done for Jacob at the 11th hour.

Jacob is what this administration would refer to as a bad hombre. He came here on a sponsorship from the Caribbean nation of Saint Lucia in 1999. He is gainfully employed as a landscaper. He pays his taxes. He has no criminal record. He has a spouse and two children who are American citizens. He attends church and is active within his church community. As today’s service showed, he is respected and admired by a congregation whose members openly embraced and wept for him when it was announced that today would be his last service. Despite his initial melancholy, Jacob became more and more animated as the service progressed and by the time he spoke at the end of the service, he confided that he believed his deportation was part of God’s plan and he intended to embrace it.

In short, this is the antithesis of what Republicans want you to see when you think of an undocumented immigrant. Yet for ICE, it doesn’t matter. Their one-size-fits-all approach to deportations has no rhyme or reason. They’ve taken an Arizona mother during her required check-in. They deported a Detriot man who lived in this country for 30 years. They deported a New Jersey man who helped rebuild homes after Hurricane Sandy. ICE has even attempted to deport a ten-year-old Mexican girl and a Polish doctor who has lived in this country for 40 years. This administration is not targeting rapists and thieves as was promised to its nativist base. Instead, it is picking off those who do good for their communities. Because for this administration heavily influenced by Stephen Miller, all undocumented immigrants are criminals regardless of the positive impact they have in their communities.

Oh, if you didn’t know, we now have ICE going onto transportation ASKING PEOPLE TO PROVE THEIR CITIZENSHIP.
ICE needs to be completely disbanded. They are OUT OF CONTROL.

BUT, folks see what they’re doing….and, are calling them on it.

    If you don’t think money matters, you’re wrong. We may have the advantage in enthusiasm, but Republicans will try to buy a ground game to match it.

    The Cook Political Report has said that “A wave is a comin.” And FiveThirtyEight argues “The Democrats’ Wave Could Turn Into A Flood.” In just over nine months, we’ll know whether Paul Ryan is still Speaker of the House and President Trump still has control of Congress.

    In January 2010, President Obama had a positive approval rating (49% to 46.7%), and even he got shellacked in his first midterms. By contrast, Trump is under waterby more than 11 points.

    Democrats have a record number of compelling candidates, with veterans and women leading the charge. And according to Real Clear Politics, Democrats hold nearly a 7-point lead in the average generic congressional ballot.

    Surf’s up for the Democrats. Everything’s set for us to ride this wave to victory. Right?

    I’m not so sure. I stay up almost every night worrying not just that the wave won’t be there, but that we won’t be able to ride it even if it is.

    When I started in politics, people obsessed that money was everything — the difference between winning and losing. It was the “mother’s milk” of politics. Now, the zeitgeist has flipped. Everyone either says money doesn’t matter or believes it will magically be there in the end. I’ve had countless Democratic strategists and candidates tell me not to worry.

    Guess what? They’re wrong.

    Money won’t determine the fundamentals of the cycle. It won’t transform an overwhelming loss into an overwhelming win. You can’t buy a wave.

    But it can make a difference — a big one. In a cycle like this, I believe it’s the difference that could either end Republican control of the House on a close night, or limit our gains if the wind is really at our backs.

    My night tremors got worse when the Koch network announced recently that it’s committing $400 million to preserve Republican control of Congress. Unlike most Democratic fundraising, the GOP is being rewarded by their donors for passing an agenda that helps their donors. The Trump Tax gives the Kochs as much as a billion-dollar tax break each year. Pay-to-play is contemptible, but effective: that one donor is the equivalent of nearly 15 million Bernie-Sanders-style $27 contributions.

      Some white people stay stuck on stupid.. Back in the late sixties I I attended school in Montana. I was the only black in the 8th grade there and when I went to 9th grade I was the only black in the whole school. Well, long story short, there were a few idiots that commented on my hair when I went natural but for the most part my friends liked it. I didn’t care whether they did or not I just decided on day to do it. White boys were the ones who made comments but I still wore it everyday until we moved back to Missouri. So I am proud for this young girl She is showing inner strength.

    John Kelly has been on my radar from the beginning. Why would he work under Trump? Only one answer, for the power he has because Trump is incompetent. He’s in it for the power. And he’s fundamentally in agreement with Trump’s views on white supremacy.

      I hope many people read your post today and gain an understanding of the dire situation which upstanding people face today. My heart breaks for Jorge Garcia and all the other immigrants who were brought here as children without documentation by their parents. My heart aches for their U.S. citizen children who live here now without their deported parents.

      Where is the compassion for these deported, good people? Where is the understanding and concern for their children left behind here? Where is the support and sympathy for the wives and husbands left behind here?

      Only love will make America great.
