Dominique Jackson

A free loading 30-year-old man, Michael Rotondo, refused to leave his parent’s home, so they took legal action, reports CNY Central News.
New Yorkers, Christina and Mark Rotondo, filed five notices with the
Supreme Court of New York State due to their son’s failure to launch.
……………
The first notice dated February 2, said:
Michael,
After a discussion with your Mother, we

vacate. You will not be allowed to return. We will take whatever

Alarming to see that the Secretary charged with protecting the 2018 elections claims not to have read the intelligence on the 2016 elections.
If she had, she would have seen the specific evidence the Russians sought to help Trump, a finding now affirmed on a bipartisan basis. https://t.co/HgsDG5ahxm

Colin Kaepernick’s Collusion Case Just Proved NFL Teams Believed He Was Good Enough to Start, so Why Doesn’t He Have a Job?
Stephen A. Crockett Jr.
Colin Kaepernick filed a grievance claiming that NFL owners colluded to keep him out of the NFL. Team owners and several sports pundits who aren’t fans of the Movement for Black Lives claimed that Kaepernick’s days as a starting quarterback were behind him.
Well, it turns out that Kaepernick’s collusion grievance against the league has already revealed some interesting information about the owners.
According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, the collusion case uncovered that back when Kaepernick became a free agent in March 2017, several teams viewed him as a starting quarterback. Yet Kaepernick, who had the audacity to protest during the national anthem against the killing of unarmed black men, women and children by police, is still unemployed. Remember how people claimed that Kaepernick wasn’t being whiteballed from the NFL but was rightfully without a job because of his inability to play the position? Well, according to Florio, Kaepernick’s legal team has found evidence otherwise.
From Florio:
Video Evidence Proves That Betsy DeVos Might Be the Dumbest Person in Trump’s Cabinet
Stephen A. Crockett Jr.
………………………
That’s right, Betsy DeVos appeared before Congress again and flubbed answers and did her whole “deer in the headlights” thing, in which she’s grossly polite but completely confused about everything being asked of her.
Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio) wanted answers about the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. in June 2017, the Department of Education decided to scale back on those pesky investigations into civil rights violations at the nation’s public schools and universities.
“I am concerned about the low performance of your civil rights office,” Fudge noted during DeVos’ hearing Tuesday, Raw Story reports. “Could you please just state for me the mission of your civil rights office?”
She might as well have asked DeVos to repeat the first 50 digits of pi, because DeVos doesn’t know what the hell is going on in the civil rights office. Truthfully, DeVos was probably thinking, “Didn’t I shut that office down?”
Nevertheless, she shot back this gem of an answer: “The Office for Civil Rights is committed to protecting the civil rights as determined under the law of this land, and we do so proudly and with great focus each day.”
“That’s not the mission statement,” the Ohio congresswoman said. “Do you know what it is?”
Fuck no, she doesn’t know what it is! She doesn’t know anything about anything. She is the Eric Trump of Donald Trump’s Cabinet.
……………….
Two things are happening here, and both of them are subtle: DeVos is shortening her answers in hopes of getting out of the conversation; and Fudge is realizing that she’s talking to a woman with the intelligence of a tennis ball. Watch as Fudge literally becomes resigned to realizing that she’s dealing with an idiot:

At What Age Did You First See Coming to America?
Panama Jackson
5/15/18 4:45pm
………………………..
This intentionality with what content they absorb has me thinking about when is the appropriate time to introduce kids to certain movies and things that I’m pretty sure I saw when I was at least my (9-year-old) daughter’s age.
For instance, Coming to America came out in 1988, when I was 9 years old. Now, I know for a fact that I did not see it right when it came out. I lived in Germany, and we usually got movies about six months late. I know I didn’t see it at a movie theater, and I know I didn’t see boobies on-screen at age 9. But I clearly saw it at some point as a youth, before I was a teenager. Maybe they just covered my eyes at the good parts. I intended that pun.
Pretty sure I saw New Jack City in similar fashion because I had context for the soundtrack I listened to during track meets. At 12, “I Wanna Sex You Up” was my jam.
I haven’t asked my parents yet, either, because there’s nothing like asking your parents when they first exposed you to television boobs and classic lines like, “The royal penis is clean.” That line is something I say to myself in the shower every morning. TMI? TMI. What can I say except “You’re welcome”?
LOL
Do White People Go to Chuck E. Cheese’s?
Damon Young
Yesterday 4:35pm
As the father of a baby person—and also the uncle of some baby people—I’ve spent a disproportionate amount of time (for an adult) at Chuck E. Cheese’s in the past three years. Birthday parties, potty-train parties, random Saturdays when you’re babysitting your nephew and don’t have shit else to do—I’ve been there enough to consider myself a Chuck E. Cheese’s maven. I’m not even freaked out anymore by the fact that Chuck E. Cheese is an 8-foot-tall, line dancing, ticket-hoarding rodent.
Anyway, I’ve also made the following observations:
The pizza there is much, much, much better than you’d expect it to be. It’s actually better than it needs to be. It’s basically the Ving Rhames in Baby Boy of pizza.
I’m convinced that the music they play there is what the CIA forces you to listen to before you’re waterboarded.
White people kinda don’t go there.

Alabama Sues Census Bureau For Counting Its ‘Illegal Alien Population’
By Associated Press | May 22, 2018 10:41 am
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Alabama has filed a lawsuit against the federal government, challenging the practice of counting undocumented residents in U.S. Census counts used for congressional reapportionment.
In the lawsuit, Alabama argues the predicted 2020 census numbers will cause Alabama to lose a congressional seat, and an electoral vote, to a state with a “larger illegal alien population.”
The state and Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks are plaintiffs in the lawsuit filed in federal court against the U.S. Census Bureau.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, all people, including citizens and noncitizens, with a usual residence in the 50 states are counted in the census and in apportionment counts.

Sanders Announces Reelection Bid As Negative Buzz Builds About Our Revolution
By Ed Kilgore
There were two big developments on May 21 in the political universe of Bernie Sanders, one upbeat, one not-so-much.
On the positive side, Sanders formally announced he is a candidate for reelection to a third term in the Senate, as was universally expected. The only slight mystery about his bid was resolved when he indicated that he would follow his past procedure by running in the Democratic primary, and then declining the nomination and running as an independent while accepting the “endorsement” of Vermont Democrats. The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake had a sardonic comment about that:
Sanders is going to run in the Democratic primary for no reason except to preclude anybody else from winning it — despite having no intention of running as a Democrat in the general election. Sanders basically wants to ensure he will face no Democratic opponent in November. A cynic might say the guy who complained about the rigging of the 2016 Democratic presidential primary is kinda, sorta rigging the 2018 Vermont Senate race for himself…
… The announcement is also another indication that Sanders thinks he’s good to go in national office until 2024 at least, when he’ll turn 83. Whether that means he’ll run for president in 2020 is another matter, of course.
If he does, he may want to lend some attention (at least indirectly, since he cannot legally direct it) to the legacy organization he set up as a vehicle for Sandernistas, Our Revolution. A big piece in Politico on Monday from Edward Isaac-Dovere suggests that Our Revolution is not doing well…

Trump, GOP destroy U.S. credibility with covert sources
Rep. Jim Himes talks with Rachel Maddow about the damage Donald Trump and his Republican supporters are doing to the credibility of U.S. intelligence and the integrity of the Department of Justice with their effort to undermine the investigation of Trump.
Trump Tower meeting starts new Trump relationship with UAE, Saudi
David Kirkpatrick, international correspondent for The New York Times, talks with Rachel Maddow about what happened at a Trump Tower meeting between Donald Trump Jr., UAE/Saudi Arabia emissary George Nader, Republican fundraiser Elliott Broidy, and Israeli social media marketer Joel Zamel.
Another Trump Tower meeting, another foreign offer to help Trump
Rachel Maddow outlines what is known about a newly revealed meeting at Trump Tower at which an emissary for UAE and Saudi Arabia pitched Donald Trump Jr. on help for his father’s campaign, including a social media manipulation campaign.
Is Rosenstein allowing Trump to compromise the DoJ with requests?
Rachel Maddow looks at the many concessions the Department of Justice has made to Donald Trump and his supporters in Congress as they try to undermine the investigation into Trump and his 2016 campaign. Benjamin Wittes, editor-in-chief of Lawfare, joins to discuss whether Rod Rosenstein has a strategy.
Trump undercuts women’s health in kowtow to social conservatives
Nancy Northup, president of The Center for Reproductive Rights, talks with Rachel Maddow about Donald Trump’s effort to score political points with social conservatives by imposing new regulations on Title X.
Right… does any one know what happened with Melania and her kidney condition?
FBI used informant after multiple Trump camp Russia contacts
The New York Times reports that the FBI used an informant to investigate members of the Donald Trump campaign after their contacts with Russian intelligence. Adam Goldman, national security reporter for the New York Times, talks with Rachel Maddow about his reporting.
Trump risks presidency using his power to pursue personal animus
Michael Beschloss, NBC News presidential historian, compares Donald Trump’s reported use of the Postal Service to attack the owner of The Washington Post to Nixon’s effort to use the IRS against his personal enemies.
Trump toys with abuse of office in beef against Washington Post
Rachel Maddow revisits the history of Richard Nixon trying to use the IRS to audit his personal political enemies and notes the parallels with Donald Trump’s attempt to punish Amazon with higher postal rates because of his personal disdain for The Washington Post.
