Tuesday Open Thread | The Evil from this Administration-IMMIGRATION

This tweet from Oliver Willis

Is ABSOLUTELY ON POINT.

The story behind this tweet:

This father is NOT a criminal. He wasn’t swept up doing criminal activity.
He went, ON HIS JOB, to deliver pizza to an Army Base, AND SOMEONE CALLED ICE ON HIM.
He.was.doing.his.phucking.JOB.
And, some evil azz muthaphucka called ICE on him.

The restaurants in the area are fighting back – not only fighting to bring this father home, but refusing to deliver to the Army Base until he is let loose by ICE.

Here is the latest in him:

https://twitter.com/dabeard/status/1005607330497605633?s=20

I am sorry that this is the most positive story I have.

I, like, Oliver Willis, want folks to understand what we’re fighting against. Those who voted for Dolt45 are complicit in what is being done in the name of the United States of America.

In my last immigration post, I told you, that the OFFICIAL POLICY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS TO RIP CHILDREN AWAY FROM THEIR PARENTS.
And, I want to make this clear:
This is NOT just those people that are coming here illegally.
This is happening to people ATTEMPTING TO GO THROUGH THE LEGAL ASYLUM PROCESS.

The blood is on those who voted for Dolt45.
The damage to these children and their families is on those who voted for Dolt45.

I will say this again:
The simplicity of the evil of this cuts through the bullshyt 😠

A new “Trail of Tears ‘…..

https://twitter.com/lizcgoodwin/status/1005792417004392451?s=20

Here is some of the damage. Please spread the word as to what’s being done in this country:

A family was separated at the border, and this distraught father took his own life
June 9 at 7:00 AM

A Honduran father separated from his wife and child suffered a breakdown at a Texas jail and killed himself in a padded cell last month, according to Border Patrol agents and an incident report filed by sheriff’s deputies.

The death of Marco Antonio Muñoz, 39, has not been publicly disclosed by the Department of Homeland Security, and did not appear in any local news accounts. But according to a copy of a sheriff’s department report obtained by The Washington Post, Muñoz was found on the floor of his cell May 13 in a pool of blood with an item of clothing twisted around his neck.

Starr County sheriff’s deputies recorded the incident as a “suicide in custody.”

I ask you…what could go wrong, with putting people who are here illegally WITH HARDENED CRIMINALS?

Yesterday DOJ was sending around an opinion in which they managed to deport a woman who was kidnapped by rebels along with her husband, forced to watch as they made her husband dig his own grave and then murder him. They then made her their servant.

An immigration judge found that she had an asylum claim and could stay in the US, country but Sessions’ DOJ said she was guilty of material support for terrorism because HER FORCED LABOR FOR THE REBELS THAT KIDNAPPED HER AND MURDERED HER HUSBAND COUNTED AS MATERIAL SUPPORT.

So now they can deport her. Back to a country where said rebels now run the government.

BOTTOM LINE:

This poor child

I have more stories. Just as horrible. Just as rotten. Just as evil.
Either you believe that this is ok, or you believe it’s evil. There is no in between. There is no rationalization which makes the pain that is going on acceptable. We have nothing to discuss.
As a human being, you can’t be ok with this. And, if you aren’t ok with this, then you have to tell people what’s going on. Not everyone is as in tune with political happenings. But, people are parents. Have been the child of someone. Ask them to explain how this is ok. How taking away children from their parents is ok. Ask them to explain and reason it in English.
Don’t let them tell the lie.
THIS.DID. NOT.HAPPEN. UNDER. OBAMA. OR. ANY.OTHER.AMERICAN . PRESIDENT.

THIS is a policy created by Dolt45 and Attorney General White Citizens Council. Remember, it was first proposed by ‘ Aint Shyt’ John Kelly when he was over DHS.

The latest horror just came down yesterday.

The evil never stops with this group. As I have said before, The KKKeebler Elf is getting to fulfill all of his White Supremacist Fantasies. He will NEVER resign. He’s enjoying being cruel to the non-White masses.

The Trump admin is looking to build tent cities at military posts around Texas to shelter the increasing number of unaccompanied migrant children being held in detention, McClatchy reports.

Trump Administration Launches Effort to Strip Citizenship From Those Suspected of Naturalization Irregularities
    By ELLIOT HANNON

The Trump administration is not only doing everything it can to discourage immigration of all sorts, it intends to launch an effort to identify naturalized American citizens it believes cheated the naturalization process and strip them of their American citizenship. The extraordinary process of denaturalizing an American citizen has occurred very rarely, with the Justice Department filing an estimated 300 civil denaturalization cases since 1990. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director L. Francis Cissna, however, told the Associated Press that the agency is ramping up its efforts to identify citizens who, for instance, assumed new identities in order to avoid deportation and claim a green card or citizenship.

Cissna said his agency is hiring several dozen lawyers and immigration officers to review cases of suspected fraud. “We finally have a process in place to get to the bottom of all these bad cases and start denaturalizing people who should not have been naturalized in the first place,” Cissna said. “What we’re looking at, when you boil it all down, is potentially a few thousand cases.”

While there is certainly a legitimate government interest in not allowing people into the country under assumed identities—previously this effort targeted literal Nazis and suspected war criminals trying to escape prosecution under assumed identities—the potential for the effort to be used as a means of intimidation and to find small discrepancies or errors in an individual’s naturalization paperwork is problematic. The Trump administration says it does not plan on pursuing deportations based on technicalities, but this is also an administration that is savagely separating families at the border as a form of deterrence to would-be undocumented immigrants.

Think about this quote for a second.

You’ve scored, what you believe is, a MAJOR disarmament win from a longtime enemy.

The thing is, that enemy has a history of reneging.

You could hold em to it by putting it in writing. But you don’t do it because you… didn’t have time. https://t.co/uBGatumxWW

There are good people out here.

He fought a mob that chased gay people into a Utah cafe. Now some are bringing him balloons and calling him a hero.
    By Courtney Tanner
    Published: 4 days ago

“Are you the one who saved those people?”

Terrance Mannery, a little caught off guard, turned his head from the window and looked up at the woman who was asking. “Um … yeah,” he told her, a bit uncertain and a little shy.

It was enough confirmation for Kae Clark, though. She shoved a string with a silver star balloon floating above it into Mannery’s hand and started thanking him. “It’s just really nice to see someone stand up,” she said.

    ……………………….

    They’re calling him a hero.

    …………………………..

On Saturday night, the 21-year-old was working behind the counter at Doki Doki dessert shop during a quiet shift. Just before closing, about 10:30 p.m., four frightened men who had just left the Utah Pride Festival burst through the door. The group of guys that had chased them in was gathering outside, making taunting gestures and yelling homophobic slurs.

Mannery ran to the entrance to block the mob from coming into the cafe.

One attacker shoved Mannery into the glass and metal door, breaking its hinge. Some of them started punching. It was dark and Mannery couldn’t see how many there were. He felt at least seven hits; one left a dark red scratch on his cheek. Witnesses have said he was trying to fend off some 15 to 20 muscular men.

The group, described by one bystander as some “wholesome Utah boys,” dispersed when a security guard approached. Mannery went back inside Doki Doki. Not knowing what else to do, he went back to taking orders. The four victims who ran in left in a Lyft. It was over in minutes.
