A Colorado man spotted a group of mountain lions hanging out on his porch Wednesday morning.
Andy Davis told KDVR he was getting ready for a run around 6 a.m. when he spotted the wild animals outside his Conifer home.
“The mom of the mountain lions hopped up on the patio,” he said. “I reached over real slow to grab my phone and snap a couple pictures and then right behind her came the three babies.”
Davis said he has seen deer, elk and bears but never a big cat.
RISE AND SHINE: A Colorado man enjoying a cup of coffee probably didn't need the morning jolt when four mountain lions leapt up onto his porch. He quietly recorded them before they scampered off back into the woods. https://t.co/1FpQufmqBS pic.twitter.com/6x7gHVC1x5

“I was just amazed. My whole life I’ve been waiting to see cats,” Davis said. “Never seen a mountain lion the whole time I’ve lived up there.
“This morning, I got to see four of them at the same time. It just blew my mind. … Most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.”
Davis said he wasn’t nervous because he was inside.
The big cats took a drink from the water fountain before moving on. Davis warned his neighbors, as some small children live in the area.
“My dad always warned my mom, ‘take something with you when you go out on a walk because you don’t know what’s going to be out there in the woods,'” Davis said. “I highly doubt I’ll ever get to see something like that again.”
Uh uh
People kill me getting out the cellphone around dangerous animals😠
There have been some mountain lion sightings in my neighborhood. If I ever see one while I’m out walking I’ll probably have a heart attack. I’m not afraid of the coyotes or javelinas, I am somewhat afraid of the bobcats, and most afraid of the mountain lions. The cats move so fast you would not believe it.
Be careful out there. I don’t walk too far from the house since we had those sightings. I know what’s out there now.
I love Andrew Davis’ porch. Woods so green and pretty. I wouldn’t want to go in there tho. *scared*
It seems so natural for the lions to roam, because it is. Amazing how we move in & take over their or other animals’ terrain. We either cage, fence them in, or kill them.
Wow! Unbelievable to see this. A couple of years ago, I saw 2 (one tan, one black) from my front door strolling across the meadow, right across the road. My oldest saw the tan one first. I thought he was just playing around when he asked me if that was a bobcat. I looked and told him that’s no bobcat. We were focused on the tan one and then the black one appeared out of the grass. I thought they were panthers but folks in the area said they were mountain lions. It was an over-cast that day. We were too excited to think about grabbing the camera. Missed opportunity.
