I guess UPS and the managers and contractors they hired now KNOW that they need these highly-skilled workers more than the workers need them. When they walked out, everything shut down. They fired the guy that recorded the event. UPS offered him $250 to remove the video and after he told the company he couldn’t because it had gone viral, he was out of a job. He said he had been offered a promotion on the same job. The good thing about his profession, welding, is that he can easily get another job.

How’s our Carson. Are you fulfilling your grandma duties supplying him with Capri Sun & tea? LOL
I saw little Carson yesterday. I took Haley and Jay shopping for school and then we went to eat. Carson was asleep when we left and when we got back he was eating Chinese food with his Mom. He loves it too. I’ll pick him up more Capri Sun today.
He’s got a birthday coming up.
I remember how my mother always made the same kind of cake for our birthdays. It was a three layer yellow cake, made from “scratch” and the frosting was meringue based, the kind you do in a double boiler. She would do the decorations, kind of a zigzag around the top and bottom circumference and “Happy Birthday” on the top. Then we had those little candles for however old we were and we sang Happy Birthday that night after supper.
She never bought a cake from a bakery or used a mix. Just didn’t believe in it.
Liza, Carson has a birthday on the 18th. Our sweet little darling has come a long way. I think daughter is planning on having a party in the back yard. My mom made cakes from scratch and baked home made cookies. She made the best tea cakes EVER!
